:question: stewie is now 17 weeks old and doing just fine i was thinking of giveing him a play mate or is he too young yet any advice please xxx

This is just my opinion but I wouldn't do it unless you don't care about losing the bond he has with you and there are no guarantees that he will get along with another bird.

It all depends on how much interaction you want to have with your bird(s). Stewie sounds like he is adjusting nicely and bonding with you... It's got to be up to you Trish.

I know if I would have only gotten Eve she would have made a wonderful pet . I was able to work with her in the beginning but after playing with her Adam would be mean to her when she went back in the cage. It just wasn't worth perhaps her being hurt by Adam. Now they never fight but they do bicker then snuggle :)

Hi Jan, I think Gail was referring to Stewie who is a conure who is already tame, and what he would be like with a conure friend.

We know you did all you could with your two girls to tame them!! :)
