A bit of a mixed pond really, a few koi, golden and blue orfe, some goldfish, a green tench and the occasional pet dog drats

Pretty soon I'm expecting it to be invaded by frogs for their yearly lets-make-more-frogs party. One year there was over 100 in there, and since my bedroom overlooks the pond each night I went to sleep to the sound of all these frogs burping at each other....

My pond gets invaded by frogs aswell, last year we made the pond slightly larger ,so we had to empty the pond for a while and we counted 77 frogs, more frogs than fish :)

Well, I didn't expect toad-porn when I joined this forum

You have to be a bit careful when there's a lot of frogs and/or toads in the pond though, it's not unknown for one to latch onto a fish, sometimes leading to it being badly injured :( Fortunately that's not happened with any of mine yet but that doesn't stop me from checking on them daily.

Great photo's btw Gail :)

John...I have so many toads in the late spring that's all you can hear in my back yard! LOL!Posted Image
