Today I've noticed Tino's droppings have been almost like water, very runny.
He seems fine otherwise, but his droppings have never been like this before.
I haven't changed anything in his diet, so I don't know why it's changed.
Hopefully they'll go back to normal soon.

I would really keep a close eye on Tino, if it's still runny tomorrow morning I would take him to the vet.

Neil..once Cricket was sitting on my lap and he had an accident on my knee( eek  ). I noticed it was very runny and it made me nervous. I kept an eye on him for a while and he was fine. Does Tino eat a lot of fruit? Sometimes that will cause it.

How long has this been happening?

He's not a big fruit eater to be honest.
It's only been happening for a few hours, but I've not noticed it before so got a bit worried.

If it continues past today I would have him vet checked. They can get dehydrated. Is he eating and drinking ok?

Does it happen every time he goes or is it sporadic?

Well I would consider that a good sign Neil. If it was a regular thing then I would think there might be something wrong. Like I said before, Cricket has had the very same thing happen and he's healthy as a horse...just keep an eye on him ...you'll know if it requires further investigation or not... :)

You know animals are just like people we sometimes have diaharea (sp)? but it goes away. Many times it's just a bug and it's a way of our system flushing it out.

Does it happen more when he's out of the cage? Some of my birds will do that when they get excited about something outside of the cage. I think they get a little nervous. I guess you really want to look at the bottom of the cage and see how those droppings are there.
