Make sure to start teaching him not to bite....you don't want it to become a habit. :)

Just say a firm "no" and put him back on his perch or in his cage. He'll get the message after awhile that nipping isn't getting him anywhere! :)

Cockatiel I live in Pennsylvania My name is Bonnie	Yes he is going to test you and besides that your new to him especially since he's still a baby, he isn't quite sure what to make of people. Your going to take some bites that hurt but you can't let him know that. When Jo Jo would bite me I would push my hand further into his chest and say UP. He finally decided he couldn't make me stop so gave up and we became great friends.

Vip Member Posts: 1,392 Group: Full Members Member #1,461 Joined: December 10, 2007 How many Parrotlets do you have 5 What types celestial What colours 1 green male , 1 green female , 1 light blue female , 2 dark blue 1 male 1 female Other Birds ? 1 meyers parrot, 1 green cheeked conure,1 blue fischer love bird, I live in York My name is Jacqueline ( jackie for short)	I agree with gardengail, kermit is still a bit nippy at times,when he has bitten me i put him on the stand a totally ignore for a couple of minutes, and been kermit he does not like been ignored ,he just wants to be with me all the time. he is getting the message and realising that biting gets him no where , no rewards and no attention, and he is getting better. :)
