Just an update on Sky, she is still sat on her infertile eggs although she did come out for a quick fly around and some VERY loud squawking tonight  most nights the boys are out and about. Frank also has a fly around he will defiantly need to loose some weight he feels very heavy I will weigh him when the eggs have finally gone. Also noticed that Sky's nails are curved right around this has only happened since she has been in her box. She has always had funny little toes on the inside, they look like they have a joint missing due to a birth defect so she will need these trimming when she finishes with the eggs, Which I guess will be within the next week or two. |

Just to finish this topic off, tonight I removed Skys eggs she has been spending less and less time in the box and today when I got home she was out four hours so I removed the eggs and the box and also put Budge and Babe back in there. So at the moment I have two very happy budgies and one that just can not seem to find her box no matter how many times she climbs down to it, its never there. :( In a couple of days or more likely tomorrow she will be back to her normal self again. |

I'm sure she'll be fine in a day or so, Kev. I felt bad when I took the last baby from Hansel and Gretel but they were back to their normal antics a day later. |

Raising babies takes it out of the parents but they will be back to normal very quickly. :) |

A quick question for anyone when I took Skys eggs out they were all unfertile but one sounded like it had a marble in it and rattled would this be due to air getting into the egg do you think I broke it open tonight ( I forget that I had put them in an empty bowl on the shelf) and there was just a rock hard lump of clear material with an orange lump in it, which would have been the yoke. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas why this was like it ???? Kev |
