Last week I decided to let Sky get on with what she really wanted to do ???? I had to remove Babe and Budge as there has been some bickering and a little bit of fighting between these two and Frank. So have you guessed yet here's a picture for you ....she has modified her box so that she can see out without getting up see her tail sticking out the back of the box there is hardly any thing left of the box at the back.

At the moment there are two eggs in the box I was cleaning last week and hadn't realised that she had laid anything, she has had the box for over two years and never laid before. When I removed the end of the box an egg fell out and smashed drats I felt such a mean **** for doing this that I left her box in for her to carry on. Having the eggs has mellowed her and I am now allowed to rub and stroke her neck I can put my hand into the box with out being attacked (Parrotlets should read this) and she just seems to be calmer.
I did think that all three of thee boys would get along, but that will not work as all they do is sit around the box all day long tapping on it and fighting over the best position. I admit she would never go hungry with all three feeding her but Budge seemed to think that he was allowed into the box and he was then being bickered by frank.
So the two males are now in a cage by themselves they seem ok they tend to play and twitter a lot.

Hi Jan incubation is between 17 and 20 days again this depends on whether the hen started sitting straight away or waited until there were more eggs. Sky didn't sit the first she only started sitting when the second was laid so it will be between the dates of........ ok wait a minute I am checking the calender ...................... that would be around the 17th of this month again depending if they are fertile.

She is sat tight now and only comes out for a quick Bonk with Frankor to have a scritch from me  I have watched them mate a lot (no Iam not a perv) and they really don't seem to be doing it correct they are in the right position but Frank can not seem to get around and underneath her.

Is Frank a lot bigger than Sky? Maybe he has a hard time balancing himself on her??

That's so cute that she will let you scratch her!! Do you think she'll let you candle the eggs too?

Yes Laura Frank is a monster compared to the other budgies, yes he does have trouble balancing when they are mating quite often he will use his other wing to push against the perch they are a bit like this
