I just bought two 3 month old parrotlets, 3 days ago. The two (one male and one female) had already bonded to each other very well. The breeder told me that they were handfed and tame and that I should keep them together. I am having a hard trim training them. They do sit on my hand but do fly off often, especially when two are together. If I separate them they make a lot of noise and it’s hard to work with them. The breeder told me that I should have no problem training them and that I was better off with two of them. Does anyone one have experience training two birds at a time, if so please help. |

There are a few members here with two or more Parrotlets. I'm sure they can give you some good tips. I'm also sure they will tell you that wing clipping is a good thing while in the training process. They are not so independent when they know they can't just up and fly away from you. |
