When I was much younger, I did security work for the port in San Pedro for cruise lines. It was a lot of fun and I must say that the crews were always so friendly, and invited me along here and there when they were in port. I bet I can guess which line she works for. There were British crews for one and crews from the Philippines on another (which taught me swear words in their language). LOL!

And speaking of toys.... I don't know if you have it overseas, but I just ordered this playgym, lol. Here's a pic of my friends, since I don't have mine yet. She added a few toys, but it comes with most of the stuff you see, like the ropes, bells, mirror and swings, and 2 treat cups . You can also configure it in different ways. I hope Max likes it! I also ordered a couple clicker training books from target, and a teeter totter on ebay. I do make most of my bird toys though, especially my U2's because I can't see spending $60 so she can destroy it in a week. It's really pretty easy, you don't even have to be creative. and so much cheaper. I get a lot of baby toys like rattles. And I've seen a lot of people combine baby toys with rope and beads for hanging toys for small and large birds. I go to craft stores and swap meets and get a lot of natural wood and acrylic beads, sisal rope, etc. Online bird stores sell safe toy parts too. And when they destroy one toy, you can keep some of the parts to make a new one. It's fun when the girls help make them, but it's also fun to shop for goodies too.

I got it from Kings cages. If you call and mention Lillian referred you I might get a small discount on Max's new cage, LOL! But seriously, they (Andrew) likes to wheel and deal so you might end up ordering more goodies than you planned....

I want to try some of these -- they aren't toys really, but they look good for chewing. They're made from an Australian tree called a Cajeput. You can also get them in disc form without the cage bolt if you want to make toys out of them.

You can try eBay too. Lots of listings -- people sell boxes full of parts, and you can make what you like from them. I haven't bought much but the prices seem pretty good.
