Hello ....If you don't already know me, my name is Snickers. I had (hopefully "had") a plucking problem (I used to pluck my chest raw.. :scared: ) for the good part of my life, not to mention my problem with seizures. The last 15 years to be precise. Well I have decided to do a complete turnaround and make my mommy happy (for now anyway!). I don't like to pluck anymore and I have been seizure free since May 30th of last year! Here's a few pics of me...my Mommy is so very happy!

Just a thought:
Zippi plucked all over for around 4 years...
Since Ive had the 2 P-Lets he's had
feathers and not pulled any!!
Is it company?
Or just something they grow out of?

Very true Jan, birds can pluck for a multitude of reasons. Hopefully Zippy was just bored as you say. It's good to hear that he's stopped also. With Snicks, he also had seizures which we all thought pointed to a deficiency in something. We researched & found that AG's are prone to seizures if they have a calcium deficiency. The calcium deficiency can be caused by either not getting enough calcium or not utilizing the calcium they are getting because of lack of FS lighting or vitamin D or some other things.

So, it appears to have worked for the Snickster which is great news 2.gif

& yes Gail, the acidophilus helped as well
