Mint seem to be very nasty when I put my
hand in the cage with treats..they are in a dish
which hangs on the rails..(like a seed one)
She dive bombs my hand and hangs on with
her beak to whatever part of me she can...
It brought tears to my eyes today drats....
I dont know how to stop it..
other than not putting my hand in

Sky doesnt...
Im wondering if another cage for a few hours with her
in it on her own would help?

I dont seem to be able to manage a little bird.... How
daft is that
Could also be excitement maybe...
What do you think?

A very embarrassed Jan

you could try it for a while Jan, if you put the cages together they will be fine although they may shout for a while. then you could try using treats with mint to stop her biting. And then you would be able to spend more time with sky as well with out mint biting you. she may well be protecting sky which is why she is after you, bubbles does the same when I get near to Squeak.

there's nothing to be embarrassed about :)

No Jan nothing to be embarrassed about, I was actually thinking about separating Adam and Eve for awhile to get Adam a little tamer.

Jan, you're not the only one. Pesto is very cage territorial so when I feed them they go mad! Yesterday he actually jumped out of the cage and bit me twice. He usually stays in the cage and turns so puffy he looks like a little hunchback, twittering and screaming all the while!

Cricket will not tolerate anyone but me poking around his cage. If my husband gives him a treat he rips it out of his hand like a pitbull! don't be embarrassed Jan! We've all taken our share bird bites!Posted Image
