Laura, I let Kami settle down for the first day then started clicker training with a kebab skewer ,when she touched the stick I clicked and gave her millet (which she DOES like ).within a 2 sessions I was pointing and saying TOUCH and pointing to where I wanted her to go and to my joy she picked it really quickly .It's been a week now and I can point to my arm ,cage ,play perch and she just goes .....I must be just so lucky she's picked it up so soon but tonight I think is the turning point as she now comes to me for "tickles" now . I would highly recommend clicker training , I picked some video's off Youtube and thought I'd try it .Everyone who is going to give it a go might be surprised how well it goes ....or is Kami the exception to the rule, can anyone give some feedback on this .. thanks Mark |
