The cage to the right of the main one is their old home, you can see just how much bigger the new one is! In the background you can see a cabinet full of my Samoyed ornaments and part of my miniature drinks collection. The dog in the calendar to the top left is mine :)

I love samoyed's... they are beautiful! I don't think i'm up for the upkeep of the coat though LOL!
Since 1972 we've only had Samoyeds (Red is our fourth), and to be honest I wouldn't want another breed now. The coat does take some looking after, but a half-hour brush each day or two will keep it nicely in trim. The added bonus of all that fur is that you can have it spun and knitted into clothes (no, I don't do the knitting thing, but I do have a scarf made from sammy fur). Also there's plenty to stuff around the garden each spring for the birds to collect for their nests. I also use the fur in my fly-tying and have started collecting the odd dropped parrotlet feather to use too :)
