Sorry about the slow reply. Anyway, Newport to Sheffield is approx 190 miles, and 3 1/4 hour journey, which equates to a 380 mile 6 1/2 hour round trip. If you say fuel is about £5 a gallon with a 30mpg return, I'd assume the cost would be in the region of £95-£105 including a 1 way charge across the bridge into Wales. They don't normally do multi-drops, so you would pay the full amount. Give them a call for a more accurate price. I thought about having a bird delivered from them to Manchester, but due to having my own works van, I could "lose" the diesel costs. I'm very glad I went in person actually, because the knowledge they pass on is invaluable. Also you can see if any of the birds "choose" you. It's worth the trip. And I'm almost certain they'd meet half-way if you wished. Edited by neil29, Feb 1 2009, 02:53 PM.
