In the excitement of bringing home a new baby parrotlet, some things are often forgotten. so i thought i would make a list of the things you should have ready before your new bird comes home. Cage, fully set up with toys. Food, if the breeder has been feeding the parrotlet a certain type of food, they will normally give you a small amount, for you to carry on feeding the bird with. Be sure to ask your breeder before you take the parrotlet home, what they feed their birds, then you can get a supply in. Hand feeding formula, just in case the baby regresses, be sure to ask the breeder how this is feed to the baby bird. Fruit and veg to put in the cage. My breeder uses a water sanitizer so i also bought some of this. |
