In some last minute breaking news, PRW Commissioner Nahiro Koga has just informed PRW.com that the match originally scheduled between James Roenick and Jason Garrick at Summerfest has been altered. Rachel Roenick (aka Rachel Riot) and Chelsey Lynn Garrick will now join their respective husbands and compete alongside them. When reached for comment, Koga had the following to say:
"The Roenicks visited me at my office moments after their encounter with the Garricks. Suffice to say they made a compelling case as to why the match should be changed and based upon what we all saw, I was inclined to agree. Therefore the match at Summerfest will now be a Mixed Tag Team Match between both couples. For those who don't know, this means that only wrestlers of the same gender may be legal in the ring at the same time. For example, if one of the women tags their male partner, both women must leave the ring and both men will enter in their place."
"Furthermore, seeing how volatile things have gotten between these two couples in the past, we've decided to give them free reign and have added 'No Holds Barred' to the match as well. That means no disqualifications and no countouts. However, pinfalls and/or submissions must still occur inside the ring in order for a winner to be declared."
"All parties have agreed to these changes. The only thing I have left to say is thank you to our wonderful fans for their continued support. We're looking forward to PRW's biggest show of the year and we can't wait to see all of you there!"
PRW Summerfest starts tomorrow! Be sure to check with your local providers for times and pricing.
