OVER 9000!!!
Happy E3 Week, PRW fans! As you're all getting excited about the new releases and the snazzy games coming our way into 2018 and 2019, PRW is gearing up for it's own major event. In 11 days, Summerfest 2018 will take place and long time grudges will be solved, new rivalries will forged into the annals of PRW lore and three titles will be defended. The card is loaded BUT perhaps there's a final piece missing. Or is there? We begin in the home of Joey NOX, the sun shining brightly outside on this wonderful Tuesday afternoon. There inside the home of one of PRW's top stars is an old friend/flame/haunt, the lovely Tsukishima Shadow. Casually strolling through the halls of NOX's new home, Tsuki's footsteps clanked against the marble flooring and her eyes scanned around how utterly boring the decor choices were. With a sigh she dragged her fingers along the coffee table, pausing momentarily as if she's soaking in old memories from its touch. The White Witch of PRW took in a chance to remember what was for just the briefest second, letting out a little chuckle before she moved on in her tour. Entering the kitchen, Tsukishima Shadow looked it over with a tsk tsk and a head shake. "Wood cabinets. How boring." She pops one cabinet open and groans at the sight of disheveled messy cabinets with items toppled over and things out of order. Fighting her OCD, she grimaces and shuts the cabinet quickly to prevent herself from having to organize everything inside of them.

The White Witch looks at the fridge and closes her eyes, in a brief moment remembering (with the help of PRW MAGIC!) when she once performed fellatio on a sausage and broke eggs to prove a point to Scar Shaddows and LJ Summers. Eventually Tsukishima turned to the dining room table across from the cabinets and overpriced fridge, calmly strolling over. There on the table sits a funko pop of Joey NOX, the newest in a line of PRW related merch on sale at Summerfest. Tsukishima Shadow picks it up and casually looks it over, giving it a funny look as if it's some outer space device dropped off by aliens. As if she had no choice BUT to, Tsuki snatches up the doll and casually presses underneath the bobble head until it pops off. The Joey NOX head hits the floor and rolls away from her, stopped only by the shoe of Joey NOX. Tsuki and NOX look at one another, the two of them engaging in the world's most tense passive aggressive staredown. With Tsukishima's willpower at its usual high levels, it's Joey who eventually relents first, bending down to pick his head up off the floor. NOX snatches the toy away from Tsukishima Shadow and begins to work to put his head back on, Tsukishima standing there looking utterly perturbed by NOX's fixation with his OWN toy.

Tsukishima Shadow: Joseph.

NOX: You know you got mad when I said you were killing me but here you are, still killing me after all of these years. How am I going to sell this on ebay when you REMOVED the head?

Tsukishima Shadow: Did you bring me here to see your figure? Seriously?

NOX: It's cute you frame it that way.

Joey gives Tsukishima a smile but The White Witch rolls her eyes, grabbing the head out of Joey NOX's hands and tossing it into the sink.

Tsukishima Shadow, irritated: I don't do framing nor phrasing, Joseph. Why did you call me here?

NOX: Must you always talk like you're in a graphic novel, Aki?

Tsukishima Shadow: How do you know I'm not? We're not? You know Joseph,
I do know of people who believe in things like that. Alternate realities, the idea we're all a play for some show in the grander scheme of things. That we're just a grand Truman Show in a cosmos of smarter beings than us. Imagine planes of existence where instead of your 35 to 50 demo sitting there watching us it's sentient beings arranging the stars in our solar system,
navigating interplanetary dimensions and choosing us as their own personal little bingefest.

She's lost him. As Joey stands there with a raised eyebrow, Tsukishima Shadow just lets out a sigh of epic proportions. She puts a hand on her hip and stands there waiting for Joey to give her something to respond to.

Tsukishima Shadow: Did I use too many big words?

NOX: You know I bet in a previous life, you were probably some sort of scientist and you hated your life of boredom so much that your reincarnation was of...this. Whatever this (gesturing at her with his hands) is? That's the penance.

Tsukishima Shadow, serious and almost morose: Well....I hope whatever I did before was worth what I've gone through then, Joseph.

And so Joey NOX casually wanders his way into the world's more sore subject. Realizing the error of his ways, NOX goes to put a hand on Tsukishima's shoulder and merely gets it brused aside. Ever the smooth operator, Joey uses Tsuke's swipe to run his hand through his own hair in a super dramatic fashion. She's pissed and that more than anything is a problem for NOX.

NOX: You're a better person than you realize, Aki. Even if your commitment to your own perceived damnation makes you think otherwise. Anyways do you really want to know why I brought you here?

Tsukishima Shadow: Nooooo! I just enjoy slam dunking on you every time we're in a room together!

NOX: You're mad aren't you.

Tsukishima Shadow, checking her imaginary watch: Get on with it. I'm a busy woman these days.

NOX: Oh? Doing?

Tsukishima Shadow, ignoring him: Get on with whatever you had to show me, Joseph or I will be leaving and not in the manner and mood in which I'm sure you intended.

Joey nods his head and then calmly dips out of the dining area. Tsukishima's response to this is about what you'd expect; head thrown back, big groan escaping the soul of the PRW Hall of Famer and her lips curled into a permanent scowl seemingly. Right as Tsuki is about to launch into a "Work yourself into a shoot" type fit of rage, Joey NOX returns with a box. Just a standard gift box with a big bow on the top and some shitty wrapping gig to make it all look worthwhile. Tsukishima shoots NOX a look as he juts it into her stomach, her arms instinctively wrapping around the box. Joey backs up and crosses his arms, the two of them making eye contact before Tsukishima looks down at the box.

NOX: Open it.

Tsukishima Shadow, playfully: Tick tick tick tick tick tick. Seems about right, Joseph. An exploding present seems almost too crude and yet perfectly you! Is THIS how you plan the revenge for the end of 2014?

NOX: For the LOVE of God, Aki. Just open the god damn box.

Realizing that there isn't a game to be had here, Tsukishima grabs the lid and removes it. She tosses the box top onto the floor and then gives whatever's inside the box a double take. With a confused expression on her face, Tsuki fiddles around until she pulls out the contents. Inside the box, now cradles in her arms, is a doll. It's dirty and downright creepy looking, looking like it's been stuffed in god knows where for god knows how long. Despite the weirdness and the unsettling nature of the doll, one look at it has Tsukishima Shadow smiling. She holds it up and stares at it before cradling it in her arms.

Tsukishima Shadow: Emichan?

NOX: Mhm. I found IT during the move. Not IT It the clown spider thing although I know you probably know him too. This, Emi. Found it while packing.

The dreaded Renegades mascot and Tsukishima Shadow "child". The weirdest of the weird and the grossest of the gross. Iconically Tsukishima, Emichan perhaps best represents when Tsuki was at her peak of evil and now? A gentle reminder of what was but no longer is.

Tsukishima Shadow: Okay so is it THE Emichan or one of the replicants I made? Remember how I just started making them over and over? How I tried to recreate it but...look is it one of her imperfect replacements or clones or back ups or...

NOX: It's what you want it to be, Aki. It's a gift. A thanks.

Tsukishima Shadow: For?

Joey pulls out a chair and casually takes a seat, leaning back into it. His words pour out calmly and without any sort of emotion behind them. Instead his focus is entirely on speaking in this free flowing stream of consciousness.

NOX: Helping me. Tsukes, Aki, I'm going to do something stupid. Really really stupid and I have you to thank for that. Normally the decision to do something stupid isn't rewarded but...Aki I'm at my best when I'm stupid. I made a stupid decision in 2013 and it led to my career finding this extra boost. I grew from a stupid decision that should have and COULD have buried me under a mountain of my own idiocy. In 2014, a stupid decision and a desire to fuck something at that point in time led to some of the best years of my life. A stupid decision to try to win Superbattle with no quantifiers led to a two year chase that culminated in a blissful if bittersweet ending for me. Stupid is how I work, Aki. I work well stupid and....well you reminded me to maybe not overthink this so much.

Joey looks at the Funko Pop doll body, the head now gone. He lets out a chuckle as he puts it down and looks back at Tsuki. His arms fly up into the air and come down lazily, a massive shrug to the entire situation that is Summerfest.

NOX: I don't know the answers. I don't know up from down right now. My brain is in a haze and I'm spending every day trying to solve a piece that has pieces that aren't fitting. It's a stupid way to live but you know what's really funny? Maybe it's best that way. Maybe not knowing and just being instinctual....maybe that's the way to make all of this work. Maybe I need to just be me and accept that I am a fucked up broken collection of rash decisions, muscle memory and really really bad primal decisions.

And maybe that's the way this thing has to be.

Tsukishima looks at the doll in her arms and then back at Joey NOX. For a brief second, through the madness and the silliness and their back and forths, something clicked. For both of them, the doll was like this weird chain link bringing them together. Tsukishima Shadow wasn't long to be out of her position of dominance and so she gives Joey a smile and turns. Doll in hand, Tsukishima Shadow slowly walks toward the front door of the home. Sitting in silence, Joey NOX looks at the broken Funko Pop until Tsukis's voice draws his eyes upwards.

Tsukishima Shadow: Joseph.

NOX: Yeah Aki?

Tsukishima Shadow: Best of luck however you choose. I can't tell you what's going to happen----all I can say is however you feel, understand that as long as you are satisfied with what you choose, it remains your choice. You're in control now and you should embrace that freedom.

NOX: Appreciate that, Aki.

Tsukishima Shadow: And kick his fucking ass.

And with that, the White Witch of PRW grabbed her umbrella from next to the door and popped it open. Stepping out into the sunlight, Tsukishima Shadow closed the door behind her and all that's left is Joey NOX in an empty new home by himself.

NOX, toppling over the broken Funko Pop: I hope so.
