OVER 9000!!!
NOX: I don't know.

A flash of light takes us to Joey NOX sitting down in a big room. The spotlight is shining down on him and after NOX's opening line, there isn't really much to hype up about the scenery. It's Joey NOX in a big room with a spotlight shining down on him. The cinematography here is intense as there's sharp cuts to various looks from Joey NOX ranging from confused to angry. Before we soak in this dude's attempt to win a Golden Globe, NOX goes back to talking in a very conflicted almost shaky state.

NOX: What is it about those three word statements that seem to carry the most emotion behind them? You think about it for a second and it's...it's always three words. They generate all sorts of emotions in just three words. Ya know what I mean?

Please Marry Me.

I Love You.

You Have Cancer.

I'm So Sorry.

I Don't Know.

A quick cut now has Joey NOX walking around. It's voice over time, Joey speaking to us via TV magic while NOX strolls around in this big empty room looking mad at himself.

NOX: I don't know. It's such a fundamentally broken phrase isn't it? Think about us for a second; we're not androids. We're SUPPOSED to not know everything and yet...there's just something about that phrase. I don't know. It feels cowardly doesn't it? Like a baton pass in life. "Ask someone else because I don't know the answer. I can't help you." I don't know makes you feel helpless and in the right situation, or the wrong one rather, it can make you feel ashamed. I don't know. It's a cop out, isn't it?

Joey NOX takes a big deep breath and looks at the chair in the room. He angrily tosses it to the side and continues to stroll around, the narration continuing.

NOX: What's Summerfest need with me? Well I don't know. Look at the card,
it's about 20 matches deep at this point. You got three title matches headlined by the biggest of the big vs the smallest of the small. It's the age old tale of Beauty vs The Beast, skill vs size, smarts vs strength. It's dark vs light, it's everything you'd want a title match to be! You got Singh defending her title, you got Owens defending his title. You got Graves vs LeBlanc in a Hall of Famer clash. Spardis is back with JR being back in a mixed tag match that should be amazing.
LTD vs Bane, Oakster vs Andrews and I could go on and on and on. It's an amazing show! Does PRW need me to sell out? For once they don't. The show WILL sell out without me. It's the rare big show that feels like a big show. So why do I feel compelled to be on it?

As Joey NOX has been speaking, we're getting hit with highlights for all of those matches. All of those big high profile matches on Summerfest from the first mentioned to the last. It truly is an amazing card and as you get the highlights, you're fair to question if there IS room for just one more. We're rushed back to Joey NOX who is standing in front of us looking helpless and confused. He shrugs his shoulders and live, answers the question with the answer we're expecting.

NOX: I don't know.

We stay with Joey in the room as he rubs his forehead in anguish. The light flickers as if to match up with the off-ness of Joey's body language. With a bit of a groan, NOX claps his hands together and talks at the viewers watching.

NOX: What's another Summerfest for ole Joey NOX? I've BEEN there before.
Won my Undisputed title there, fought for it two more times, battled my best friend in his first of twenty eight retirement matches. I fought a handicap match there! What's left in the grand history of Joey NOX that Summerfest NEEDS to be a thing?

All NOX can do is throw his hands up and shrug.

NOX: I don't know.

We're taken to narrator mode as we get highlights of Kurt Kiddo mocking Joey NOX and making a mockery of his words.

NOX: And what about Kurt Kiddo? What about THAT whole mess. Kurt Kiddo has hurt me physically and emotionally on more than one occasion. In the days long since gone, I would've fired back at him with hellfire and brimstone. I would've driven him off the map and into obscurity. Last year I tormented Jesse Drive for far greater professional stakes but far less personal ones. I took every ounce of sass and directed it at Jesse and rained down waves of insults and barrages over and over and over and over and over. I left Jesse Drive with no recourse but to fight for his life because when you lose to a guy who boils you down to the least common denominator, your career NEVER recovers. I made Jesse Drive feel like this was a fight for his legacy and his livelihood and he responded----but I'd be casual and fair to point out Jesse's never been the same since then.

As those Kiddo highlights are flashing before our eyes, we're met with the highlights of Joey verbally tearing into Jesse Drive as NOX speaks. Each passing clip reminds us of the intensity toward the arrival of 2017's Summerfest main event and all that came with it. We get some brief highlights of NOX vs Dive from Fest '17 but nothing that spoils the outcome of course.

NOX: I could do that to Kurt Kiddo. With a few words, I could point out all the flaws he has a man. With a few punches, I could make him reconsider everything he's ever done. Make no mistake, I could humiliate him. And yet I'm not sure I want to! Why?

We're back at NOX again. This time he's fixing the chair he toppled over earlier, the light continually flickering as he works to get the chair upright. He sits down in the chair, looks into the camera and offers up a shrug.

NOX: I don't know.

He takes another deep breath and shakes his head. NOX leans forward in his chair, staring down at the ground as he rubs his palms together.

NOX: I don't know.

With a deep breath, Joey straightens up. He claps his hands together and lets out a nervous laugh, clearing his throat shortly thereafter. The light flickers once above him and Joey's eyes momentarily glance up before he goes back to shaking his head.

NOX: It's such a cop out. I just feel bad for saying it over and over but the reality is the reality. I don't know isn't just most the shameful answer; it's the right one. As I stand here before you, I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know if I'm going to show up at Summerfest hurt ready to fight or stay home or retire or run off a cliff, I. DON'T. KNOW!

Joey runs his hands over his goatee and shakes his head out. It's like he's trying to think along with what he's saying out of order, racing to combat what the right thing to say is vs what the real thing to say is. After a short moment of silence, NOX talks in a calm and composed voice.

NOX: Maybe the best way to hurt Kurt Kiddo is to rob him of this big Summerfest moment. Maybe the best way to move on is to acknowledge that I don't have the next level heart required to get revenge. Maybe I'm not strong enough or maybe I'm too strong to realize that at the end of the day 25 years from now when PRW does the big legacy reunion show deal that nobody will remember this but me.

And then he pauses. He takes a big deep breath and looks up at the camera with the most serious face he can muster up. His eyes looked pained but focused and for a brief second, you can almost see reality etched on his face.

NOX: And I don't know if I'd be able to live with myself to make it that long either if I didn't do what I felt was right.

Joey NOX leans back into his seat, an almost dead behind the eyes look on his face. The light flickers a few more times as Joey casually takes one final deep breath. He slowly opens his eyes and gives the camera one final look; a smirk that could be interpreted in so many ways.

NOX: I don't know. All I know is that when I DO know, you'll be the second to find out.

And with that? The light finally gives out, giving us nothing but darkness.
