The scene is set at Aalborg, Denmark as PRW makes another overseas tour to Europe. The crowd is reeling as PRW Rage continues from the Jutlander Bank Arena, having just earlier viewed a remote confrontation between the Drives. The chorus of "Blood Red Sandman" by Lordi is playing through the PA system as the camera focuses on the announcers table where Brunny and Smith welcome the televised audience back from their break.
Brunswick: Welcome back to Rage where we are now joined in the ring with the Blood Red Sandman himself, the Oakster, who's ready to address the crowd. Last week, Oak had left an open challenge for anybody in the PRW locker room to face him at Summerfest, prompting his fans to start a viral campaign, #OakForSummerFest and I believe he has a few words stemming from its repurcussions ...
The show cuts over to the ring where Oakster is already standing in the middle of the ring, dressed casually in a leather jacket worn over an Organon t-shirt. Clearly somebody is pandering to the Danish crowd for a cheap pop. As the fans scream Oakster's name, Oak holds his arm out to start his address to the audience.
Oakster: Well I've got to thank you all for your support over the past few days. At the end of the day, I'm here to put smiles on each and every one of your faces and as long as I'm here at PRW, as long as you still want me here and as long as I can physically take it, that will always be the end game for me. And I have to say that it's nothing but humbling to see people like you going out and spreading out three simple words across the globe just to give this old fella in the ring another shot in the limelight.
The camera zooms out from the middle of the ring, Oak bang in the centre of it, revealing an enthusiastic crowd in attendance. Some of them holding signs clearly displaying "#OakForSummerfest" up and down. As the production switches to another shot of the fans, cries of "Oak for Summerfest" are made, while a burly fan turns to the cameraman with his own sign variant "Oakster v Andrews for Summerfest". Action goes back in the ring and Oakster's beaming face as he presses his hands together with the mic and bows down to them.
Oakster: Again, thank you. But while it's one thing to get my challenge heard, it's another thing for the challenge to be accepted. Which brings me to this little gem ...
The Oakster points his finger towards the tron where the Twitter logo starts to flash. The viewers at home are shown a carbon copy of what is shown on the giant screen:
- @Christian_Andrews
-
@Christian_Andrews: I remember hearing some stuff about him back in the day, for sure. @Christian_Andrews: I haven't heard of any challenge but if he wants a fight, well... @Christian_Andrews: Let him know, I'm right here.
Brunswick: For those unaware, Christian had retweeted a long-time fan's request for an Andrews-Oakster match at Summerfest, mentioning Christian doesn't turn down challenges.
Oakster begins to read out the tweet.
Oakster: If he wants a fight, let him know I'm right there ... straight from the tweets of one Christian Andrews. The same Christian Andrews that has been a mainstay to this business for almost twenty years. TEW, XWF, NAW, ACF, hell almost every single letter of the alphabet, he's dominated them all. And with his sheer passion and sacrifice just for crowds like this he has won the hearts of many. Take it from a guy who's been here as long as he has, I've got nothing but the utmost respect for the Andrews and what he represents and let me say, he would be a fantastic opponent for me at Summerfest.
As if the fans couldn't get any more rowdier, the sound of delight gets louder as chants of "Christian Andrews" are now added to the mix. Whether it was previously a coincidence (or a plant), the camera goes back to the fan with his sign as he points to it, nodding his head in approval. While Oakster doesn't mind basking in the moment, he lifts his finger up, wanting to add another note to his opinion of Christian.
Oakster: But with that being said, there is a little something that gripes me, just a little. Where on Earth is the guy? I mean, he likes to call himself the Ghost, but I feel like he literally is a ghost. More of a ghost than King Hamlet himself! Since his return, where has he been at PRW shows like this? All this hype about his great return and I've only seen him spend a bit of time at the Superbattle match and that's it. And call me old fashioned but why are you answering my challenge by Twitter and not in person? Come on, man, where are you? What, are you too busy making sure your Impala's in pristine condition without a scratch? Are you too busy working out in the gym to ignore your loving fans out there? Come on, man, where are you?
The 100% approval rating starts to drop and evolve into one that is clearly mixed. Some find Oak's comments a little insulting towards Christian, some siding with Oak's comments on Christian's appearances while others are basking in the moment of a potential confrontation between the two. Regardless of what opinion they may possess, they all share one outcome - they want to see Christian Andrews in person. A concotion of claps and voices follow with "Come On Andrews!" clap-clap-clap-clap-clap. As it repeats, Oakster, perhaps as a sign that he still respects Christian starts to join in with the clapping.
Still no answer. A little bit agitated, Oak speaks again.
Oakster: Christian, I sincerely hope for the sake of each of any person in attendance right now, myself included, if you are what you say you are, that you never back down from a challenge then let's give the fans what they want. I'm challenging you to come out right now and say that you really want us two to duke it out one-on-one at the showcase that is Summerfest. Come on Christian, I know you're not beneath this, answer the call!

The Oakster finishes with his beckoning. The crowd's response was perplexing, as the PRW Arena has only known cheers and screams for the Blood Red Sandman, so for them to suddenly be split shows the impact that both men have already had in this arena, and yet neither of them have even stood toe to toe yet!
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. The question Doug, as Oak stands in the ring, is will Christian actually meet him here? Is he even in the area right now? Christian may not even be hearing this live as it's happening.
.:: Doug Smith ::. Well I can say on good authority that Christian was seen in the back just a mere hour ago, so I have no doubt the guy is hearing this right now. The question is, does Christian still have the gall that he did when he ran around here nearly ages ago now? And with both being veterans here, the question has to be raised, what do they have left in their tanks?
The crowd split between cheering for The Oakster, and cheering "Come On Andrews" with their clap rhythm still going on, everyone starts to wonder if Christian will be addressing The Oakster. While Oak stands in the ring, his shoulders back and broad, his chin as tight and round as ever, the focused look on his face telling a story. The agitation is continuing to grow for the tall man in the ring as he continues his gaze toward the entrance way, and it's around that time that the lights dimmed. "Rock of Ages" opens up with the opening chords starting to come to life over the titantron. Suddenly, the entire crowd erupts in unison, despite their agreement with Oak's earlier words or not, they can't hide their excitement for the man who's about to make an appearance.
.:: Doug Smith ::. And it looks like we're not going to have to wait or wonder much longer Josh! Here he comes, the man that has been on the minds of plenty of people and fans, he's going to be coming out here any moment now! You can tell from the pop Josh, this crowd didn't forget who he was, that's for certain!
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. That may be the understatement of the year! This man coming out right now is one of the few pillars of the PRW that we have left, and while Oakster has gained fame and notoriety outside these walls, this man here has made his impact both outside AND inside here! You can tell for the fans in the arena tonight, while it may be hard to pick a side in the match, should Andrews accept it, the fans most certainly have a common respect for both competitors.
That well known, and might I say, beautiful '79 Impala arrives at the front of the entrance way, the side of the path momentarily extended by blockers to make room for the car. It roars it's engine several times, the crowd on their feet absolutely ecstatic for the coming of this man.
.:: Doug Smith ::. Man that's a beauty Josh!
It roars one last time, before peeling forward causing smoke rings behind the back tires, rushing it's way down to the ring, stopping just mere inches in front of it. The crowd is completely on it's feet now, as those that had thought for a minute to remain seated when the car first debuted, have decided against their decision and stood to their feet. Even the teenagers near the front have decided to get off their phones to give their attention to the beautiful Impala that demands it.
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. Christian is sitting in that car right now, taking everything in, while The Oakster's eyes haven't left the driver's side door since the car appeared! There's a strange intensity in the air right now that we don't normally get to experience Doug, can you feel it?
.:: Doug Smith ::. There is absolutely no denying that tonight Josh!
The crowd start a chant for "Andrews" as Christian Andrews slides his way out of the car through the open driver side window, pausing as he gets to a sitting position. He smiles, soaking up the attention and devotion of his loyal fans that remember him from the past, and his new fans that are either excited for him, or his vehicle, both being completely understandable. He then continues his slide, leaving the rest of the window frame behind him as he slides upwards grabbing a hold of the top of the car and hauling himself upwards into a sitting position on the roof.
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. Here goes the...
He throws his hands up into the air, taunting as the pyro's set off behind him in a line, the crowd nearby having to take a step back in fear of them.
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. Leap! Good god, those dang fireworks get me everytime!
.:: Doug Smith ::. Be quiet Josh, look at this ability that the veteran still has! There he goes!
Christian then postures his body by placing his hands by his sides, flat palms on the hood, and launches himself to his feet in a standing position. He looks into the ring and takes a deep breath, again soaking everything in as the crowd continues their chants. He then takes off running suddenly, leaping from the end of the hood all the way to the side of the ring apron, catching himself on the top rope. He pulls back on the top rope, the cheers and chants from the crowd getting more fierce, as he tests the ropes leverage ability using his own body weight. Christian looks at Oakster standing in the ring and points toward him, smiling. He then propels himself over the top rope, fancy moves for a big boy, and plants both feet on the ground solidifying his entrance as he now stares face to face with the big man himself, The Oakster.
.:: Doug Smith ::. I'm still in awe of that car Josh, seriously, it's a marvel.
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. Anyways... in the ring, The Oakster clearly towers over Christian Andrews and yet Christian shows no sign of backing down, backing away, or trying not to size him up! Christian has faced bigger and badder men in his career, so while they may be no fear in Christian, you know he's definitely got himself his game plan set in stone.
.:: Doug Smith ::. Wait, are they in the ring already?
Christian nods his head in approval toward The Oakster, and as he does the crowd begins to chant his opponents name, "Oakster" in rhythm. Christian actually claps along with them now, showing his own mutual respect for the man that may be his opponent for Summerfest. Christian then reaches out with an open palm, an invitation for the microphone to be passed from The Oakster to himself, which Oak obliges willingly. Christian takes a deep breath, soaking in the cheers from the crowd who quickly silence themselves at the movement to speak that Andrews shows.
.:: Christian Andrews ::. "There once was a family, a typical one with a wife, husband, 2 kids, etc... Well this family wanted to be rich so bad they would do anything for it, and I mean anything! They tried scams, jobs, begging, heck even the stock market, yet they could never achieve their dream!"
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. What is Christian going on about? Oak wanted a fight, not some history lesson
.:: Christian Andrews ::. "Then, one night, a ghost saw them on the side of the road, begging for money of their own and he walked over to them. He told them "if you want money, I know a quick and easy way to make 1 million dollars." They didn't even have to think it over! They took it, shook hands, made their promises, and went home. When they woke up the next morning, a freak accident happened as a plane had crashed into half their home! Their two kids were killed instantly as they slept on the side that the crash happened on, while the husband and wife were spared. The airline felt so bad that they paid them 1 million dollars in compensation."
Oakster listens on, curious to where Christian was taking this as the crowd gasped at the reveal of the kids dying. They sighed and moaned in despair, as Christian nodded his own empathy for the situation. However, Christian was quick to continue.
.:: Christian Andrews ::. "Let's not get caught up in the intricacies of life Oak. Moral of the story is, be careful what you ask for because you just might get it."
Christian's voice raises instantly at the punch line as the crowd suddenly erupts, Christian's face showing no sign of fear but intensity in it's place. The crowd starts chanting "Oak and Christian" clap-clap-clap clap clap! Christian nods in approval of the chant, his eyes never breaking contact with Oak's, and although a smile sneaks up on his face, his body still betrays the intensity and focus that is running through Christian's body, the adrenaline not even comparing to the desire to step into the ring again.
.:: Christian Andrews ::. "I'm not a man of many words anymore so let me be precise and clear. I said, if you want a fight, here I am and I meant it. Let me introduce myself to you Oakster....
I. Am. The. Ghost.
Christian puts his hands up as pyro's suddenly shoot off around the ring, startling the announcers into a frenzy of "blurred out" words and "beeps" from the editors of the show. Everybody was caught off guard and scared momentarily by the interruption of the pyro's around the ring, everybody except The Oakster who stood his ground, non-flinching, non-moving, ready and waiting for his own chance to speak. Christian didn't want to delay it any longer, as his smirk grows into a grin and he extends his hand forward with the microphone, giving it back to The Oakster to await his reply.
.:: Doug Smith ::. Well, for a many of few words, he's definitely a man of a lot of surprises! Good god, I thought I had a heart attack! Josh? JOSH! Why are you smiling like that?
.:: Josh Brunswick ::. Just reminiscing Doug. That's the Christian I remember, the one I watched and cheered for back in the day. That intensity, that desire to fight... it's unmatched and sometimes even unprovoked, but the reality is Christian really is all that he says he is. I guess in a way Doug, he just answered very clearly Oakster's own question about Christian's character.

As the microphone returned back from Christian Andrews' hand, the giant Oakster stands tall in front of his potential foe, both of them unflinching in an arena surrounded with thousands of startled witnesses. The tension between the two appears to be rising as both men look ready to start their fight now, let alone Summerfest. But in the long run, is that necessarily what Oak wants? He wants to tear the roofless house down at Summerfest and a breakout brawl isn't going to make both of them 100% healthy at the show of all shows. The Brit turns his head to the side and closing his eyes, breathes in to calm himself down. Opening his eyes, he looks at Andrews, smirks and tries to kill the tension down with a bit of wisecracking.
Oakster: Well let me say that it's finally great to speak to you in person after all this time. And while that's quite the story you told there, more importantly that's quite the fireworks display you've got. Can't wait to see what you've got in store next month for the fourth of July.
Christian turns aside rolling his eyes whilst retaining his grin. The audience moan a bit as clearly no action was going to be seen at this moment.
Smith: Wow ... that was pretty bad. I was ready to see them tear it up. Brunswick: But Oak has said he's always wanted to be an honourable man of his word. A cheap shot probably isn't something included in his rule book.
Seeing that the Ghost wasn't too offended by it, Oakster shrugs before following on from his ice-breaker.
Oakster: All joking aside, Christian, if that was a way of enticing me to quake in my boots then you must be mistaking my respect for you with reverential fear. I don't fear ghosts and I certainly don't fear the unknown. If I did, I wouldn't be here entering the uncharted territory that is PRW. No, I like you, make no mistake about it. But on the other hand, just because we both share a mutual respect doesn't mean either of us are going to go lightly on each other should we choose to face each other at Summerfest. It would be a great disservice to our long-time fans, even more so at biggest event of the year. You already know that.
Again, the Danish clapping recommences joined with cries of "Oak and Christian". Oak moves his hand towards the crowd, asking Christian to look at the crowd before giving his hand out towards the Ghost as if to show him that the people have spoken and that it's up to them to respect and fulfil the will of them. Tilting his head, Oak closes his fingers bar his index, ready to talk some more.
Oakster: And you know how far back this respect for you goes with me? I don't know if you remember this but about fifteen, sixteen years ago, I called it quits at the PWF. Sure, it made my name on a global scale, but by that point it was merely a shell of its former self and I had more than enough of its politics. I was now a free man ready to go wherever I wanted to. And there was this one promotion that tickled my fancy, you might have heard of it ... the Apex Wrestling League.
As the Oakster kept on speaking, Christian looked on in intrigue. "Oak's not going where I think he's was going." But the second the word "Apex" was spurred out of the Brit's mouth, Andrews sighed as he now knew exactly what was coming next and could almost ventriloquise Oak's next words.
Oakster: Yeah, it didn't last long, and people may have forgotten about it now but back then it was an upcoming fed that showed a lot of promise. One talent in particular was their League Champion who went by the name of Chris Andrews.
Already anticipating this, Christian nods his head in acknowledgement. The man had so many title wins, so many to the point that at this point of his career he feels that it's not the belts themselves that matters, nor the win-loss ratio but what his legacy leaves behind when this is all said and done in years to come. But somehow this time round he reveals more a look of regret, partly because again he already knows what's going to be brought up now.
Oakster: I've heard nothing but good word about this early twenty-something youngster making his name in the business, in fact so much that I wanted to see first-hand what this guy was like in person. So, I spoke to their general manager and asked her to sign me up to AWL and to give me a League Championship match while she's at it. But just my luck, by the time I got there, like the ghost you are now, you were gone, and the title was already vacant. And yeah, I suppose I could add the League title to my own list of accomplishments, but still it's not the same as beating the previous champion to confirm your worthiness of holding that belt. It was a title win but one with regret and disappointment because of what it could and should have been.
Oakster steps a little closer towards Christian, towering over his potential opponent. The Ghost stares back, indiscriminately unfazed by the size difference. With a serious look on his face, Oak has one last thing to say to Christian.
Oakster: Christian, we might be getting on a bit, but now might be the time. I could not thank you enough for taking up this challenge, but I merely ask you one small favour, don't disappear this time. Let's steal the show at Summerfest and show that crowd in Portland what we're made of.
Oak pushes the microphone towards Andrews' direction, ready for a reply back and almost certainly a confirmation of yet another anticipated match on this already stacked card.

Christian chuckles at The Oakster's statement, and with the upmost respect and yet still teasing voice, Christian grabs a hold of the microphone offered by The Oakster and slides it up to his lips, making this one short and sweet.
.:: Christian Andrews ::. You may not know but I assure you Oak, this crowd knows EXACTLY what I'm made of. Don't worry though, come Summerfest, you will too.
"Oak and Christian" clap-clap-clap clap clap. "Oak and Christian" clap-clap-clap clap clap. "Oak and Christian" clap-clap-clap clap clap.
