Is James Roenick Returning To PRW? Written: March 20, 2018

With the 2018 Superbattle Pay Per View just a mere 31 days away, the rumor mill is already starting to heat up with possible legendary returns and surprise debuts for the signature match. As announced yesterday on PRW.com, a "mystery entrant" has been announced for the match and since then the wrestling world has begun to speculate to whom the mystery entrant may be.
Names have been circulating over the past 24 hours, with everyone from Ace Andrews, to Twin K, to even Joke Killings being thrown into the mix. But one name has been brought up more frequently than the rest, James Roenick.
Roenick recently posted a picture on his Twitter account showing himself in the gym, in phenomenal shape at that. This of course is a huge improvement from the last time we saw Roenick who revealed to the world a severe neck injury was threatening his career and could force him into retirement. Roenick has made returns to Superbattle in the past, and while always having strong performances, the Hall of Famer and former World Champion has never won the contest, leading many to believe his desire for success could bring him back to the ring.
The last we had heard from Roenick was well over a year ago when it was announced ESPN was producing a special 30 for 30 on his rise and fall in the wrestling business. However, for a never revealed reason, production on the project stopped before the final edits were made leading many to speculate personal demons may have returned to James' life.
We reached out to James and his wife Rachel for comments on both the documentary and the Superbattle rumor but to this point we have received no comment. We will keep you up to date with any developments here on PRW.com as we inch closer and closer to Superbattle.
