The camera opens up to The Purple Suit of PRW standing proudly with his first and most important client: Marshall Cage. Marshall is trying to keep a stern look, but the tiny breaks of smiles are visible to viewers paying enough attention. Meggido, who is dressed to the nine as always, puts an arm around Cage, and points to the camera.
"They're watchin' you, buddy. All eyes are on you now. You see, this isn't like before, kiddo! This isn't some TMZ drama between you and Sean Aries. It ain't a 'David Beats Two Goliaths' story. No, no... it's the big leagues. Marshall, you just got called out by none other than the man, the myth, the legend, Alex LeBlanc. Do you know what this means?"
Cage doesn't answer. He knows to let Meggido do his thing.
"I'll tell you what it means, Marsh. It means that at Christmas Carnage, you just hit Prime Time! And kiddo, this is going to be your biggest match yet. You're going to beat Alex LeBlanc!"
Meggido pulls his arm away from Cage and steps closer to the camera. He's looking into it, and one would say he was glancing directly at LeBlanc, wherever he is.
"Don't let it fool you. This kid's something else. Alex, you know that. You said it yourself! In Argentina, my client showed you exactly what he was made of! He showed you the grit, the determination, and the heart that others in this business, hell in this very company, would die for! Marshall's got the it factor, LeBlanc. Just like you. Just like NOX. Just like Aries. Just like all of the greats who go down as 'legends' and not just wrestlers. Just like everyone who owns that ring on your finger that says "Hall of Fame". He's got somethin' special.
There's a problem though. Marshall Cage, as all know, lost to Alex LeBlanc. He did, he did, I'll admit it. So what's different? How am I so sure that Marshall's going to beat LeBlanc at Christmas Carnage?"
Meggido turns his head and looks back at Cage. Marshall gives a quick roll of the neck and a round of cracking knuckles. Jacob can't help but chuckle it off as he turns back around. Before speaking, his lips morph from joyous to being stern. This was business.
"Nothing's different, really. I could go on-and-on-and-on-and-on about Marshall going through some spiritual journey where he became a tremendously better wrestler, or I could talk about how I hired some top notch guys to train him, but he nor I did anything of the sorts. Let me tell you how I know, Alex. That match at Argentina was a milestone. Believe it or not, I myself watch that match once a week. I watch it and somehow, I learn something new about my client each time I see it. Whether it's a move I didn't know he could perform, a trick I saw him master, or even just hitting his landings better when he was caught by you... There's so much to it!
He really put his all out there, didn't he Alex? Every flip, every twist, every maneuver he performed was just... fantastic. If any kids out there want to see two incredibly passionate wrestlers go at it, I encourage them to see that match. Oh but I'm getting off topic. Which is funny because I always yell at Marshall for doing that when he speaks. It's why I didn't have him talk now. He's a bit overrun with emotions. After all, his hero just asked for him for Christmas.
I learn something every time I watch the match. But I learned something when I was watching it live, too. The moment you won, I took a step back, and I said 'I'll be damned. Marshall Cage can beat Alex LeBlanc.'"
Meggido takes another look at Marshall. Cage can only nod, too excited to do anything else.
"I'm sure you know it too, Alex. I know you watched the tapes, just like we did. He took advantage of things you did wrong, you took advantage of what he did wrong. You hit him with moves he wasn't expecting, and just the same from him. At the end of it, it was back-and-forth, and it came down to one fact: you got the last hit in. That was all. Look back! You got out of this, he kicked out of that, you survived a Superman Punch, he outlasted a Superkick... Alex, all it would have taken was one move. One move! A single gesture, a quick counter, or even just not letting you get out of his facebuster. If a match comes down to the wire that much LeBlanc, you're not looking at some kid who did well or got lucky. You're looking at an equal. You're looking at a man who... had he been given another shot... could defeat Alex LeBlanc."
Meggido grins.
"And what do you know, Alex. You pop up and say 'Gimme Marshall'. So is anything different this time? Absolutely not! Marshall Cage is going to be the same guy who gave you a run for your money. He's going to be the same guy you beat once.
But he's also going to be the same guy who has been given beating after beating and still fights through it like a trooper. You know, you were one of his last real matches before he got taken out of commission. Twice. Since you two were last in the ring, he's had two injuries which took him away from the mat. While others may see this as a flaw, and I'll admit, it gives you a target to aim for, I see it as a true showing of who Marshall Cage is. Anyone else would quit. Anyone else who is less than two years into their career and already has experienced broken bones, concussions, and almost the same number of trips to the ER than to Pay Per View matches would go home. Not this guy. No, this guy charges through it all. This is his calling, Alex! And it's not just 'to wrestle'. No LeBlanc, it's in this guy's genes to be the best. You beat him once. Good job. But Cage, like every other hardship he's experienced, is going to take that loss to you and grow past it. You wanted someone who's better than you? He won't say it. He's too humble, which is hard to believe with that giant ego of his. But I will.
Here he is. Here's your heir. Here's the guy you're going to pass the torch to. But he won't wrestle it from your hands.
Nah.
He's going to cut the hands off. What can I say? Kid likes action figures and souvenirs. It'll be a final trophy from his hero."

"Bruh you couldn't beat a leather shoe if you put your all in a match. And a leather shoe can't even type"
