-Alex LeBlanc is standing against a brick wall on the exterior of the "illustrious" Noiseux West, Liverpool's latest live event venue having seen the vestiges of a workout and a scuffle between Allan Proctor and PCS wiped away as yet another event is being set-up under the watchful eye of the man lending the venue his name. PRW cameras still filming, and LeBlanc still a bit incensed, he looks ahead in his light pink dress shirt, gray vest and dark red tie. Ever the businessman, a Poppy flower collar pin accentuates the English flair and styles of dress, but as he rest against the brick wall, Alex LeBlanc can't help but laugh at the situation he finds himself in.-
Alex: You know, it doesn't bother me so much that Allan Proctor would get a flight paid for by PRW to come and make an event about students about himself. It doesn't bother me that people take the opportunity to throw my shortcomings in my face when the amount of times I've actually succeeded in my career outweighs the amount of times each one of them has failed to either take me down or be successful on their own accord...
-Alex looks off and laughs a bit, having taken in the recent comments by Alexander Owens, the comments by Marshall Cage, the constant handcuffing by Sonia Capasso and most recently, the appearance and commentary by Allan Proctor. All that collectively has boiled over it seems and lead to this reaction.-
Alex: 7 years. That's what bothers me. You can look back 7 years and you can go through the annuls and the history books of PRW and you can see without a shadow of a doubt that I am without question, among the most decorated men to ever wrestle for this company. I am, without a doubt, a standard-bearer for this company and one of the few who never left, never abandoned ship and answered every call when it was necessary. I never took a break until my mind and my body finally betrayed me, and if you really want to get serious about things, I swallowed pride, demons and personal battles to perform when I probably shouldn't have. If you go back to the very beginning, I was always here.
As much as Lion, Brown, Quiz, Caje and the rest of them, while they may have found this company, I was the "Origin" for when this place took off, and partially responsible for the jumping off point that has created PRW into what it is today. People through the word "Evolve" around a lot nowadays in Professional Wrestling, they throw around the word "Progress", but without Alex LeBlanc? PRW would have done neither one of those things, like or not.
-Annoyed, Alex wraps his knuckles on the brick wall and taps his fingers on it as a coping mechanism, trying not to fly off the handle.-
Alex: For 7 years I have given you everything that I have had, and I've been PRW's "Orginal Original", a person, an entity and a being who was more unique, more colorful, more outspoken and more passionate than anybody you had seen before and anybody you had seen since. And you know what? I always prayed that one day when PRW reached its peak, and when it reached its apex like it recently has and PRW started to branch into different markets and expanding, that PRW would remember who got them to the dance and show a tiny bit of appreciation for who helped get them there.
It was my hope and dream that I would get the opportunities. It was my dream that I would get to venture into Latin America and wrestle, that I would get to be the one who flew the flag in Australia and New Zealand, that I would be the one to introduce PRW in Wales, in Scotland, in Northern Ireland. It was my hope to be the one to bring our brand of wrestling to Germany, to Hong Kong, to Asia. It was my hope that I would get that opportunity because it was my hard work that helped open those doors for PRW.
Those opportunities never came, and instead I had to force those opportunities through performance and making promotional deals for myself and building my own brand. It was going out of my own way to ink a deal with Showtime that began PRW's relationship with iPPV, but I was never given the credit for it and instead derided at the time for being arrogant or trying to be "above the brand" when nobody bled PRW more than I did.
-Alex laughs and kind of scoffs a bit.-
Alex: Still, when you had some new event to promote or a new star to bring forward, it was always Alex Noiseux, d.b.a. as Alex LeBlanc who got the phone call from Bucks, or Sonia or Razer asking if I could do them one last favor and bring PRW some more popularity or introduce some new starlet to fans or a community.
Introduce Alexander Owens, that big miserable oaf? You're fucking welcome.
Expand into Latin America? Did that too.
Cultivate the idea of Sparta which has taken on a life of its own? That was my brainchild.
-Alex sighs, almost dismissively, bitterly.-
Alex: Still though, I have people like Owens or Proctor or any of the growing number of you who will sit there and throw rocks at a throne they could only hope to one day sit upon, and criticize my contributions, call everything I do a "Golden Parachute" or a "Failed Vanity Project" when nobody short of Joey Nox, Sylvia Wrath or Patrick Slaughter has done more for this fucking company than I have. Nobody. That's what bothers me. 7 years and there's no fucking appreciation. 7 years and you would rather handcuff me and tell me not to wrestle, and put stipulations on me when I have lived and died for your company....but still have the fucking gall to tell me to go out there and promote and open new markets for you.
7 years, and you'll tell me to open up a new venue to expand into new areas, expand business opportunities and find new stars for you in untapped communities, but you'll allow Allan Proctor to walk into that same building and show a complete lack of respect for my history and the lifeblood I've spilled for you like it hasn't mattered one bit.
-Alex bites his lip and just shakes his head.-
Alex: 7 years, and it can be said that PRW's DNA may as well read "Alex LeBlanc", but then you have what you did today, where some kid with a small inkling of talent and no respect or appreciation for history gets a platform and a soapbox to shout from.
Today was a perfect example of why Alex LeBlanc shouldn't fucking care anymore...
Because nobody in PRW cares about Alex LeBlanc.
-With that, Alex puts his palm over the PRW camera and causes it to fade to black.-
