The scene fades in as we see Josh Brunswick sitting in a chair across from John Bane. Brunswick seems a little on edge as Bane stares intently at him. Josh grabs his cards and begins to speak.
Brunswick: Good Afternoon PRW faithful and welcome to a special interview with none other than John Bane. Mr. Bane thank you for joining us here today.
Bane sneers a bit before answering.
Bane: Yeah right. Josh I run the tapes back of every show im in and watch them. I hear the things you say. Lets just call this two guys who are forced into a bad situation. You do not want to interview me and I do not want to be interviewed by you. Welcome to the lowest rated interview segment ever on PRW television, that would be a better introduction than the one you made.
Brunswick shuffles his cards nervously as Bane looks at him.
Bane: Dont worry ya little prick, if I was gonna hurt you I would have already done it. Lets get this show on the road I dont have all damn day to sit around and watch a nervous guy piss his pants.
Brunswick clears his throat and begins the interview.
Brunswick: Right then. First question. Why did you turn your back on Team PRW and your best friend Alexander Owens at SuperBattle and what do you think the repercussions are going to be of that?
Bane: I knew that would be the first question. I already explained this once but let me explain it in a little more detail. I told Owen Drive not to trust me. I explained it to him that the first rule of this company is not to trust anyone in this business. Everyone has an agenda. When I "turned my back" on Team PRW, I did it because I saw something that no one else did. I saw a disadvantage. Kevin Mordrad was at a severe disadvantage with the two idiots he was saddled with. All I did was even those odds up a bit. Owen Drive is not only unworthy of being in the ring with me he is unworthy of even being in a wrestling ring. Alexander Owens was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. He should not have questioned me and because he did he broke the foundation of our friendship. But really who are we kidding there are no real friendships in this business. There are just short brokered treaties until the guy turns his back and you put a knife into it. Roles being reversed he would have done the same damn thing. If you dont believe that ask him yourself and he will tell you the same thing. As for repercussions, if someone has a beef with the way I do business they can take their little boots out of their bag and lace them up because they know where I will be found. Only thing that separates these guys from me are air and opportunity and the only thing that keeps them from challenging me is fear and common sense.
Brunswick flips some notes over and continues.
Brunswick: Lets move on to Marcus Levine. You really did a number on him at Superbattle and have had some very interesting words for him lately. Marcus hasnt been seen since he accepted your match. Where do you think he is and why hasnt he said anything?
Bane: I can assure you that Marcus is preparing for Summerfest. He is training his body and mind to become an instrument of destruction. I can assure you that he is not afraid and he will be ready for Summerfest. I respect that and can appreciate it. The problem is that when he steps in the ring he will look over and see me. I am always prepared for this type of match. Thirty days. Do you think thirty days of training can make up for a lifetime of wars? Can it make up for a lifetime of hardcore battles? Im sure Marcus is watching the tapes. I know he has them because I sent them to him. I sent them to him because I want him to know exactly what he has gotten himself into. I want him to know what awaits him on the other side of the curtain. Marcus said that he has faced men who talk all the time. Well, I back up every single thing I say and then some. The issue with Marcus Levine is that he is not the same man he once was. He has been weakened by listening to the fans and listening to his friends and family. I dont have that problem and even if I did would I even listen to them? I doubt it.
Brunswick: A death match though? Why a death match?
Bane: Why? Because Marcus wants to have his name in the lights! He wants to be the main event of every show and wants to be loved by the fans. He wants vindication for my actions and wants revenge for what he feels is a slight. Even though I saved him from embarassment, I saved him from a fate worst than death. And now I am slowly taking away his past, present and future. Stripping away all those shields, stripping away all of those vulnerabilities, stripping away everything that will make him hold back. And why is that? Its because I want everything Marcus has. I know there is more. I know that Marcus holds back because ive seen glimpses. I am going to turn Marcus Levine into a rabid dog, foaming from the mouth, ready to strike without remorse and without provocation and then I am going to do what you do to a rabid dog. I am going to put Marcus Levine down.
Bane and Brunswick go silent as the scene fades to black.
