OVER 9000!!!
It's shortly after Joey NOX and Jesse Drive were face to face in the ring, shortly after Jesse Drive let out a stream of conscious in Joey's direction. As words and barbs were tossed around,
it's Joey NOX who is calmly marching his way through the backstage area. NOX stops to grab a water off of a table and as he does so, Dan Stevenson uses that opportunity to slide into the camera frame with his mic at the ready. Dressed in a fine suit with his tie pulled low, Stevenson gives NOX a look and just starts his interview. NOX grunts in disgust as he sips a water, Stevenson full into his preamble while Joey is chasing some hydration.

Dan Stevenson: So Joey, you just had your chance to stand across from Jesse Drive in what was a very emotional in ring back and forth! How do you feel after finally getting a chance to see Jesse face to face?

NOX lets out a sigh and screws the cap onto his water. He shoots Stevenson a look which suggests that this impromptu guerilla style of interviewing is not to his liking. With a little grunt, Joey looks at Stevenson and goes to say something. It looks like Joey's mind and his mouth aren't quite on the same page as his voice struggles to get out whatever it is he'd like to say. Instead NOX's words are forced, almost readily apparently so, and his eyes dart between Stevenson and the floor.

NOX: I mean....fine? I guess I'm fine?

Dan Stevenson: You seem conflicted?

NOX offers up a little shrug. He still looks like a guy who has a lot of different emotions all colliding at once. NOX looks up at Stevenson and throws in another shrug, his words all sort of falling out of his mouth with no impact or reasoning behind it.

NOX: I mean I went out there and he just talked and ranted and raved. I could've stayed in the back for all of that but hey! I guess he didn't expect me to show up. ACTUALLY you know what Dan? Like, between you and I, I think I discovered something out there. Maybe I got something out of that.

Dan Stevenson: Well would you like to tell us?

NOX: Dan, in life, there are five motivating factors for success. There's greed, love, pride, jealousy and fear. Each one of those motivates a man to do great things and some not so great things all in the name of success. EACH ONE can motivate you at once or sometimes in those RARE cases, it's just one of them required to kick start a fire inside. If you ask me, I've discovered what Jesse Drive's motivational factor is and it's so readily apparent! I should've discovered it sooner!

Jesse Drive is afraid.

Dan Stevenson: Jesse Drive is afraid?

Mouthing "fuck it" and rolling his eyes, Joey NOX suddenly grows a sense of purpose in his voice. He scowls at the camera and straightens up a little, eyes locked ahead. NOW he sounds like a man on a mission and his words flow as Stevenson holds the mic in front of him, Joey talking as if he isn't even there.

NOX: You know in wrestling, you're not supposed to attack an opponent's weaknesses. TO SELL TICKETS, YOU NEVER ADDRESS THE OBVIOUS, RIGHT? Oldest rule in the book, Dan! Now though let's be different because this is Summerfest and the show's going to sell out anyways. Lets break a rule! Let's talk RIGHT at Jesse Drive and address his weaknesses. I've already called Jesse out for being a fraud and he hasn't denied that so instead let's just move on! Jesse is SO preoccupied and obssessed about his legacy, right? Well that's because he's scared! He's scared because the reality is that WHEN I beat him, this all goes away! This all disappears! Jesse Drive has been regarded as a joke by most people and while I don't agree with that, I think he's a fine wrestler of course, there's no doubt that Jesse Drive's career is more maligned than a Bow Wow private jet flight. Jesse began as a goof who listened to Skrillex and used light tubes and he evolved, I suppose, into a drug addict alchie who dragged his friends and mentors down to the depths of hell with him. He forced a group or two or three, painted up his face, beat up on a past his prime JR Judy and since then he's been riding a big wave! It's all been up, up and up right?! Even when he lost to Kevin Mordrad, he rebounded to beat Ata!

Well I'm the reality. I'm the shore he's about to hit when that wave crashes and Jesse knows it! And when I beat him, it's not going to matter! See it's just going to be another sad disappointment in the life of a man who has done nothing but bring disappointment after disappointment and sorrow after sorrow onto his friends and family. It'll be yet another reminder that Jesse Drive at his core will never be regarded by the historians of our profession as anything other than a lingering fart that never seemed to go away no matter how many windows you opened up. It'll be the reminder that he couldn't beat Alex LeBlanc, Sean Aries or any man of significance outside of a washed JR Judy. It'll be a reminder that when PRW fans hold conventions and go to gatherings, his name will be brought up not the way that any of ours will be brought up. No no sir! When they bring up Jesse Drive it'll be with an eyeroll and a "Remember when...." or in some cases, they'll scoff laugh together when somebody just goes "Can you guys believe that Jesse Drive won the title once?!" THAT is how he's going to be remembered and THAT scares him. The reality! the reality that is THIS MAN right here is going to take a mighty flamethrower to his candy castle! Jesse Drive is afraid. He's scared. He's scared of me and what I bring to the table and what I bring to the table is HARSH reality.

Stevenson goes to say something but Joey puts his hand up. As Stevenson struggles to stay in the frame, NOX steamrolls right by him and keeps talking with excitement in his voice and fire in his eyes. As people move around behind him and struggle to get through, Joey's fire and intensity keep all of the focus on him.

NOX: And you know the thing about fear? When you're scared, you start to cling to things and make things up. You know what I mean? When you're about to die, you start to believe in God. When you get a pink slip in your hand and somebody tells you that you're not wanted anymore, you start to believe that you've been freed from your smothering occupation. When you're sick, you believe in EVERY single wacky out of nowhere no chance in hell working form of medicine BECAUSE YOU'RE GRASPING FOR SOMETHING! THAT'S WHAT JESSE DRIVE IS DOING! GRASPING TIGHTLY TO THIS FICTITIOUS CONCEPT OF A LEGACY BECAUSE THE REALITY IS COMING FOR HIM! JESSE WANTS TO BELIEVE, ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES WITH HIS ARMS OUTSTRETCHED TO THE HEAVENS, THAT THERE IS SOMETHING MORE THAN WHAT'S COMING!

But there isn't Jesse. There's only me. Only me and reality.

Again Stevenson goes to say something but Joey gives him an agitated look. NOX yanks the mic away from Stevenson and pushes him out of the frame with his bosdy, ensuring that all we see is him.. This is HIS moment in time and he's going to use it with every fiber of his being. NOX stares ahead with intensity and he makes sure to crack a little smile, the sweat beginning to form on his brow.

NOX: Jesse Drive, the fear in your eyes I saw in that ring is warranted. Those screeches you made? The screeches of a man who is buried in the fear of what's coming? All warranted. The way you looked at me? The way you tried to talk THROUGH me but not at me because of your fear? You've got plenty of reasons to feel that way. See Jesse Drive you believe in a lot of things but they're all fake. Your legacy, your new persona, your new lot in life, your slot in the world? It's all fake like your image. It's all a fad like your title reign. Now if you want to talk real? Well where I'm from, my family used to tell me the tale of a beast called the Chupacabra in order to make sure I went to sleep on time. A scary monster that would suck the blood out of anything that crossed its path! I NEVER used to believe in him----but now Jesse? Now I believe. I believe in him and I believe he's about 6'3 and about 227 lbs and he's BEATEN everybody you never could beat. And I believe he's coming right for you and he's coming to take everything you've ever worked for in one bite.

So you're afraid....and you should be.

And with that, Joey NOX shoves the mic into the chest of Dan Stevenson and walks off. He slams his water bottle down after the fact, walking down a hall and then disappearing with a right turn. As Stevenson stands there with his mic in hand, it's up to him to wrap up this segment.

Dan Stevenson: Well as you can tell, Joey NOX clearly has a lot of words for Jesse Drive! I'm Dan Stevenson and keep yourself glued to PRW.com for all of the latest news and notes heading into Summerfest!
