The funny thing about retirements in Wrestling is that they often don't stick and you often end up coming back about 4-5 times. Then, when you finally do retire, there's no curtain call, there's no pomp and circumstance, and the only way people know you're retired is when you don't show up on cards anymore and when your name isn't on promotional posters anymore.

Today's that day.

You often know that you're past it when the phone stops ringing.

The phone didn't stop ringing, folks. I'm disconnecting it.

Truth is, Alex LeBlanc lost his passion for this somewhere along the way. That's not an excuse, but that's the truth of it. However, in seeing the talent on display by Dixie Langford and Agustin Gates, I saw two guys who were obviously more driven, more passionate and more in-tune with what it takes to be on the top of the card nowadays.

My goal was to find someone to pass the torch to and to leave this place in the proper hands. Dixie Langford came out of nowhere and ripped that torch out of my hands and made it hers. I'm proud of her, that was a hell of a performance, and in Langford, I saw someone who has the passion, the dsire and the impetus to create, perform, and cultivate magic. I'm a fan. A big one.

My hope is that we keep creating, keep performing and keep cultivating in the same vein. Give guys like Marshall Cage a shot. Give Sin Carne a serious read. Jesse is doing historically good wok al year this year. Even if it was grating, Gates has put forth some of the best heel work of the year.

Furthermore? Nox is putting forth genius-level stuff on iPPV with Sparta and WCW. Wrath has ascended into this God-like tier of being able to cultivate a brand with Wild Hearts and flesh out damn near 20 people with solid storylines. Wrath is a machine and I'm proud she's my friend and one of my biggest rivals. To touch on NOX again? His work creating Nebraska and Cassie as must-read characters is the most inventive and imaginative thing on this board this year. I'm happy to have seen it.

Pat? He's blessed us with top-notich, solid writing that you come to expect and love, but nobody is as criminal underrated as the man from South Florida.

In the end? Keep writing. Keep creating. Keep cultivating.

I'll be around. I'll be sucking up the boards, trying to finally finish Project Horizon and have it be nowhere as good as the other iPPV folks.

Love ya guys,
-Alex
