Onslaught Attacked at House Show, Match Set for “New Fall Classic”

The Tag Team champions were attacked last night in Baltimore, after winning a non-title match the duo were jumped from behind by two hooded men who came out of the audience. Security attempted to remove the men from the ring but as it turned out the men had credentials, removing their hoodies to reveal themselves as former WWE wrestlers Lance Archer and Harry Smith. The motivation for the attack was not apparent at first to the audience, but it became clearer when Archer & Smith covered the downed tag champs with the black banner of the Suzuki Gundam.

Lance Archer and Harry Smith, who is now going by the name Davey Boy Smith Jr., had made the trip from Japan on orders of their boss Minoru Suzuki, who has been engaged in a war of words with Onslaught for months. But a blindside attack wasn’t the only mission of the “Killer Elite Squad,” as they pointed the subdued champions to a video message by Suzuki himself playing on the big screen.

With the help of subtitles Minoru Suzuki half heartedly congratulated Onslaught for regaining the titles, saying that this now means that they’re worthy of facing him. Suzuki announced that he will finally accept Onslaught’s challenge to a match, saying that the Inquisitor has already made it official. At The New Fall Classic on iPPV (Oct. 5), Minoru Suzuki will face Patrick Slaughter one-on-one!

After four long months of back and forth challenges being issued, Minoru Suzuki is finally set to enter a PRW ring and put his legendary wrestling skills to the test against the athletic powerhouse Pat Slaughter. Make sure to keep checking PRWwrestling.com for all the latest updates to this and many more stories…
