OVER 9000!!!
The following is an opinion article penned by PRW announcer Josh Brunswick. Brunswick, often known for his straight laced, honest commentary, has offered to write this article after the outcome of Apocalypse. The article features opinions not shared by the offices of PRW. At the same time, these opinions are also not condemned by the offices of PRW either. We've given Josh his chance to air what he feels is a grievance and support his right to his opinion. We encourage the fans of PRW to read the article and draw their own conclusions. If anyone mentioned in the article wishes to be removed, please let the PRW offices know THROUGH email (PRWwrestling.net/fanfeedback) and we'll arrange for an edit. Thank you.

When we as a company went into Minnesota, I had plenty of opportunity to reflect upon the card I was going to call. You had great title matches capped off by a stellar main event. You had an undercard filled with new talent ready to make a statement. Everything seemed in place for your typical PRW card filled with action, excitement and most importantly the satisfaction that comes with feeling as though you've got your money's worth. It's something that makes me proud to work for PRW and it's something that makes even the worst nights manageable. At the end of the day, the fans get what they paid for.

Not this weekend.

Alex LeBlanc vs Matthew Logan was announced to much excitement. Two PRW hall of famers colliding over high stakes. This match wasn't the main event but ask your average fan and they couldn't tell you the difference. There was true, raw genuine emotion among the paying audience. Fans were excited for this. Now some might argue that these two guys were dealt a bad hand by PRW management. The winner got a title shot and the loser was going to be given the automatic #1 slot at Superbattle. Is that harsh? Maybe. I'm not here to say what's fair and unfair about that. I don't comment on the political workings of PRW. All I know is that if a match is announced, fans who pay their money should get that announced match unless injury or death intervenes. Alex LeBlanc and Matthew Logan may be beat up. There's a difference between hurt and injured though and neither man was, to my knowledge and to the knowledge of my trusted sources, truly injured. It was supposed to be Alex LeBlanc vs Matthew Logan in a dream match.

It didn't happen.

Alex LeBlanc came down to the ring. Matthew Logan came down to the ring. The two shared a stare and then in the most surreal image I've ever seen, Alex LeBlanc laid down. He flat out laid down for Matthew Logan. Sure Logan touched him but I've had flies hit me harder than Logan hit Alex. Logan covered him, got the three count and got the right to be called the #1 contender. Alex LeBlanc "earned" the #1 spot in Superbattle. Sources I spoke to say PRW management is so infuriated with the situation that he may be removed from the match entirely. Is that fair? I'm not sure. Alex LeBlanc is a phenomenal talent and it may be unfair to remove him from such a high profile match.

What is definitely unfair is fans paid to see a match and got robbed.

Alex LeBlanc claimed he outsmarted the Triumvirate and PRW management. He may have. In the process though Alex LeBlanc showed his ass to everyone who pays a ticket or bought a PPV to a PRW event. The economy is in the dumps, there's 1,000 different shows to watch on TV and a million games you can buy to kill a few hours. If a fan pays money to see Alex LeBlanc vs Matthew Logan, they deserve to see it. Any fan who makes an investment deserves a return on that investment. Alex LeBlanc has been a pro for a long time and he knows this. Alex LeBlanc had never let us down before.

On Sunday, he did.

Listen PRW mangement sucks and from time to time, do I wish I had better bosses? Of course I do. Everyone who works in America wishes for a better boss sometimes. The thing is the guy from IT doesn't cut the power in the office just because his boss yelled at him. Then everyone in the office suffers because of one person. What Alex LeBlanc did was essentially hurt everyone who works for PRW, not just managment. If the fans are scared to buy shows because matches they want to see won't happen, that's money off the table. That's less money for everyone. That's less money for my two children into their college fund. Keeping the customers happy is how you keep the customers, period. Alex LeBlanc is a smart businessman and he knows this.

So why did he do what he did?

According to my sources, Alex truly feels PRW management left him in a position where he had no choice. He acted in a manner that showed desperation and perhaps a hint of shame. His behavior since the incident may certainly hint of shame or remorse. He's since deleted his official twitter account. Calls to his home and office gym phones haven't been answered or returned. Sources who I know and trust say Alex has almost gone into a seclusion. I talked to Joey NOX and even Joey said he has no idea where he is. It wasn't a friend covering for a friend either. Joey was genuinely confused and concerned as to Alex's condition. When the guy who has known you for seven years is curious as to what's going on in your world, that's a sign of a problem.

Alex LeBlanc has always felt the PRW viewed him as a pariah. I don't know if that's true either way. I've always respected his talents and stood by him. Everyone has enemies in the corporate office, including me. If Alex LeBlanc feels he's a pariah then he's done nothing to shake the stigma. The thing is now no one knows what Alex LeBlanc is feeling. He's gone missing. He's disappeared and evaporated. Sources say seclusion but where is seclusion? Is he in Canada? Pittsburgh? Russia? New Zealand? Seclusion could be a lot of places. Alex LeBlac is scheduled to appear in a tournament for a large prize sum. I've heard rumors he might not even appear. Again, Joey NOX doesn't know where he is. Sean Aries, a close and personal friend of mine, has no idea where he is. Is Alex LeBlanc planning his next move or is he in hiding until the heat dies down? Maybe Alex has been fired from PRW under the cover of darkness? How long before we should go from angry and rage filled to worried about him?

Alex LeBlanc is a sports guy. He knows the game. The best analogy I could give him would be if one team opted to not play a playoff game. They just flat out refuse to take the ice or court or field and stay in their locker room. Then when fans question why the team wasted their time and money, the team tells the fan they did it because they don't like a dress code violation. Alex LeBlanc refused to suit up. He cost his team, the team being PRW. Reggie Jackson didn't always like George Steinbrenner but he hit a lot of home runs didn't he?

I work in a field where dead guys walk freely, Hawaiians are considered foreigners, Samoans are Japanese and part time occupations are trump cards for success. It's been called fake by many outside of it and too real for those inside of it. This Alex thing though? It has me feeling almost numbed. It's too real to feel fake and smells too fake to feel real. Alex LeBlanc has single handily left everyone from the top names and executives to the lowest totem pole grunt confused and perplexed. He would always pride himself on unpredictability....this may be his finest hour. The question now becomes whether Alex LeBlanc will have the courage and opportunity to unravel the web he's spun for us.

I don't have an answer for anyone right now. Hell I wonder if Alex would have the answers. Instead I'll end not with a cute sign off or prediction but with the words and tweets of fans. Thank you for reading.
