Aries and Smothers host the 2012 Arizona Olympic War Games
A show featuring C-list celebrities, A bad ass four way and War Games~! make for a great Friday Night in PRW land
A review by Rick Noon
I've been a PRW fan for the past three years but I refuse to buy stuff over the internet. After constant plugging and advertisement whoring from PRW, I finally gave in and paid my hard earned cash for "Aries and Smothers at the 2012 Arizona Olympic War Games". The card was somewhat light for a PRW show but as a newer fan, I'd never seen a war games before. IS this a one match show in the making or could the PRW salvage the best out of this show?
The stream began at ringside with commentators Doug Smith and Josh Brunswick joined by special guest commentator Ace Andrews. They ran down the cards, highlighted the top matches and also announced that Josh Phoenix had been removed from the card for unknown reasons. Despite facing Alex in a few days in his casino at Salvation, Ace was very favorable of the Alex and Aries team in the War Games main event later on. The card running down was interrupted by Adam Xclusiv on the house mic. Adam Xclusiv said that he was disappointed that he had been reduced to opening match status. He blamed it on Sean Aries, Alex LeBlanc and the entire PRW hater committee. How dare the PRW have a former PRW Undisputed Champion and "the most evil man alive" opening against the "Nigerian Immigrant" Patrick Slaughter. Crowd ate up every second of Xclusiv's little speech.
Adam Xclusiv vs Patrick Slaughter
The crowd loves Slaughter and hates Xclusiv so at the very least, we have a traditional face-heel dynamic. Adam Xclusiv started the match on the mic, demanding that Slaughter meet him in the center of the ring for a dance off. Xclusiv broke out some dorky dance moves to some heat and then Slaughter blew the roof off the place with a pop n lock routine. Slaughter broke out the Ed Lover Dance to take us all back to the 1990s and then Xclusiv jumped him from behind. This was your garden variety heel vs face match with a lot of Xclusiv cheating and a big Slaughter move to jump start a comeback. Xclusiv controlled the match which was a good thing and his heel work was on point. Slaughter hit a big spinebuster that popped the crowd and was an amazing feat of strength. The finish saw Slaughter hit Xclusiv with big Country Line that Xclusiv was able to kick out of. Slaughter went for another, Xclusiv ducked it and then tried for the X Marks The Spot. Slaughter ducked X Marks The Spot and Xclusiv bonked his shoulder into the turnbuckle post. He stumbled out right into a Hurricane Season from Pat for the win.
Patrick Slaughter defeats Adam Xclusiv in approximately 11 minutes. ** 1/2 out of ***** Your standard opener with a hot crowd and entertaining characters. The right guy won and the match was harmless fun. Nothing to go out of your way to see though.
-We immediately jump backstage after the match to a highlight package for the upcoming Accountabilibuddy Outreach Program. It's a tag tournament with randomly drawn teams presented by Sean Aries. The idea itself seems like fun and I'm sure they'll do good work with it. This then tosses to The Inquisitor who is a) happy that the tournament will make money while b) being completely upset and obnoxious over the fact that Sean Aries came up with the idea. He promises that by shows end, he'll have an idea that blows Aries' out of the water.
This is then tossed to a quick promo from Smothers' Alliance To End Seanamania. The entire team is dressed in Nintendo Colors as Smothers talks about his desire to end Sean Aries once and for all. He promises a big surprise, not just in his mystery partner but in a "big revelation that will blow the MARK boots right off his candy ass." Smothers threatens NOX, Alex, Emily and "whatever Mark Doug Gilbert jabroni they found in the alleyway to team with em." He says that he's going to cut a hole in the War Games cage and shoot piledriver Aries through it if he has to. This...was amazing.
After those two segments are done, we go to Ninja MAGIC with Scott Baio backstage. Baio is getting advice from Magic on a bunch of index cards on how to win a battle royal. These were such high quality tips as avoid the ropes, don't trust anybody and no running clotheslines because they never work. Scott Baio wants to win the battle royal to impress Wrath but also to shut up Faustino. NOX and David Faustino show up and Joey puts over David's previous accomplishments on Married With Children. Baio and Faustino have a weak little trash talk segment when Ashy Larry (Donnell Rawlings) shows up to announce himself as the winner of the Battle Royal. He does his dice shake and then blows ash in the face of Scott Baio, stealing his index cards and running off.-
Mr. Turner vs Sebastian Winters
This was a bonus match given to the fans to make up for Phoenix vs Nova getting axed. Winters got a big "Who Are You?" chant from the Arizona crowd bu he won them over quickly. For those not up on their PRW-ese, Sebastian Winters is a new guy with a big following on the internet and Turner is another member of the new school class. They had a pretty decent match but without much story behind it. The crowd was dead outside of the bigger spots but that's to be expected with two new guys. Winters certainly has a lot of potential and his pseudo Japanese style will win him over the normally stubborn PRW fans. Turner's neck obliterator move is impressive in it's simplicityt and it drew a nice pop when he did it. In the end, Winters forced Turner to tap out to the Lebell Lock. Post match, Turner offered a handshake but Winters blew him off to some decent heat.
Sebastian Winters defeated Mr. Turner in approximately 8 minutes ** out of ***** I guess it was alright for a match featuring two guys. Sort of like a mediocre action movie; you won't remember a minute of it two days later. Both of these guys should be progressively better by the end of 2012.
10 Man Hasbeen Battle Royal Combatants: Danielle Fishel, David Faustino, Dave Coulier, Scott Baio, Alfonso Ribiero, Tommy Nova, Penny Hardaway, Donnell Rawlings, Fred Savage and Lori Beth Denberg
Sean Aries and Joey NOX replace Ace Andrews and Doug Smith on commentary for this one. Donnell Rawlings was in Ashy Larry character mode by the way for those curious. Aries immediately steals the show by referring to Lori Beth Denberg as "Bertha Faye Duex" which forces NOX to one up him by announcing Penny Hardaway similarly to how Chris Rock used to in the 90s. The match itself starts with Dave Coulier commandeering a live mic and ragging on Bob Saget (at ringside) for forgetting all of his Full House co-workers. He says he's been out of work for 10 years and Saget never as so much called to check up on him. He said while Saget was making 400K doing ring announcer work, he's gone broke and took this match for a 600 dollar purse. Coulier leaned over the ropes to get closer to berate Saget when he was dumped over the top rope by Scott Baio. Dave Coulier eliminated by Scott Baio in 0:21.This set off your typical battle royal stuff where people hold onto the ropes a lot and do fake eliminations. That's a decent way to cover up for the fact that none of these people outside of Tommy Nova are actually wrestlers. Nova was actually entertaining for once in this thing. Watching him sell for dudes like Baio, Faustino and Penny Hardaway was pretty epic. Scott Baio actually hit a super kick on Donnell Rawlings that sent him spiraling over the top rope! Donnell Rawlings eliminated by Scott Baio in 2:52. He tried it on Tommy Nova but Nova is actually, ya know..a wrestler of sorts and ducked it before clothesline Baio out of his shoes.
Danielle Fishel and Fred Savage teamed up together to clean house on the other has-beens. Aries on commentary helped to put logic to the scene by reminding us that Fishel was the on-screen girlfriend of Fred's younger brother Ben on Boy Meets World. "You know Fred was probably tapping that ass too"----Aries. Fred Savage raised Fishel's arm up to show the crowd their UNITY and then turned on her, tossing her over the top rope for the elimination. In a gimmick battle royal, this is pretty much your heat momen tof the night. "They lasted about as long as your basic PRW tag team"-----Aries. Danielle Fishel eliminated by Fred Savage in 4:12. Before Fred Savage had a chance to celebrate, he was rammed into from behind by a rising Alfonso Ribiero for an elimination. This drew probably the only applause Riberio has heard since 1996. Fred Savage eliminated by Alfonso Ribiero in 4:22.
With everyone in the ring BUT Alfonso Ribiero down, Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual" began to play. The Fresh Prince star did his infamous dance to a big pop with Joey NOX mimicking Matt Striker's "I'm marking out, bro!" Royal Rumble call. Unfortunately the dance was cut short as Tommy Nova grabbed him by his shirt and eliminated him over the top rope. Alfonso Ribiero eliminated by Tommy Nova in 5:03. Penny Hardaway got up and tried to make a bolt for Nova but Tommy Nova pulls down the bottom rope and out goes Hardaway as well. The crowd booed heavily considering Hardaway is a former Phoenix Sun. Penny Hardaway eliminated by Tommy Nova. The final four is Lori Beth Denberg, Tommy Nova, Scott Baio and Alfonso Ribiero. Faustino, Nova and Baio all teamed up to try to eliminate the "massive" (according to Aries) Denberg. Baio superkicked her, Faustino did a jumping headbutt and Nova hit the big Hogan bodyslam on her! They ganged up on her on the ropes and after MUCH MUCH effort, they managed to get her up and over the top rope for the elimination. Unfortunately in the midst of the effort, David Faustino was sent up and over the top as well. David Faustino and Lori Beth Denberg eliminated by Scott Baio and Tommy Nova in 6:24.
After being eliminated, An enraged Faustino flipped out outside the ring. Funny spot as he tried to kick the steps in rage but wound up hurting his foot. He blamed Baio for being eliminated and pulled the Hulk Hogan from 1992 angle and tried to grab onto Baio's ankle. Baio kicked himself free and turned to face Nova. He went for a superkick but Nova ducked out from under it. Rather than get clotheslined again, Baio bolted for a clothesline of his own against Nova. Sure enough, Ninja MAGIC was spot on as Nova ducks the clothesline and out goes Scott Baio to end the hasbeen battle royal. Scott Baio eliminated by Tommy Nova in 6:45 flat.
Tommy Nova wins the 10 Man Battle Royal. Nova eliminated Scott Baio to win. -**** out of ***** if you're looking for wrestling. It was ass. **** out of ***** if you're looking for entertainment. It's hard to explain this. It was one of those goofy "so bad it's awesome" guilty pleasure type things. Your mileage may very with this sort of thing but it was entertaining and swift.
-We cut backstage to a PO'd Canary Kid in a soundstage area. Canary Kid admits that a large part of him wanted to celebrate the loss of Xclusiv all night long but he couldn't. At the last PPV, he lost his title belt and he ended 2011 on a sour note. He has heard the critics that chirped so loudly when he was a new guy who "wouldn't make it" return now that he lost his belt. He's focused on getting 2012 on the right foot and making every single fan and critic eat their words on him. He said his journey starts tonight but shutting down two fan favorites in Sylvia Wrath and Ninja MAGIC. A really good heel promo from the improving Kid.-
Malik Logan vs Takato Kazama
After the goofy battle royal, this was a swift change of pace. With Logan and Andrews likely facing The Onslaught in the future, this was sort of the teaser. Takato Kazama came out to a bigger pop than Malik which sort of set the tone for the match. Kazama wanted to make it an athletic contest full of high flying and amazing skill but Malik was intense and looking to bust his ass. As Logan ramped up the intensity so did Kazama which tilted the favor toward Malik. Malik Logan delivered some stiff sounding chops which reddened up the chest of Kazama quickly. Kazama was quick to trade back with stiff kicks and this turned into a junior heavyweight type match even though Malik is close to 6'4. I could swear Kazama's chest was bleeding at one point from the chops. This made Kazama the pseudo face of the match, fighting underneath versus Malik's super stiff offense. Malik Logan definitely seemed to embrace a more ruthless side as well. Malik went to suplex Kazama from the outside but Kazama reversed it with a knee to the gut. He hit the ropes and dropkicked Malik right into the stomach, knocking him off the apron and sending him to the outside floor. This allowed Kazama to hit a BIG Tope Con Hilo that set the crowd off and wiped Malik out. We got your traditional hot finish with both guys trading signature moves to the cheers of the crowd, even if there were some botches toward the end. Kazama nearly killed himself on the standing star press on Malik which drew an "ewww" from the crowd. Afterward Kazama tried for his 540 Kick, Malik Logan ducked under it and rolled him up for the 1-2-3.
Malik Logan defeats Takato Kazama in approximately 15 minutes. *** out of *****. The match was different than what I expected from the onset. Malik worked heel, Kazama was the spunky babyface and it was all really good. The wheels sort of came off toward the end with some botching but it didn't entirely detract from the effort. I would've preferred Kazama winning with the title match down the line but the ending was more Malik getting lucky than all out domination.
Post match, Malik Logan went into celebration mode in the ring. Takato Kazama got up disappointedly but still tried to get a post match handshake. Logan got on the top rope and celebrated as Kazama stood in the ring with him. Takato was trying to get a handshake from Malik who was somewhat ignoring him to celebrate with the fans. After ignoring him for what felt like close to 30 seconds, Kazama grabbed Malik and turned him to face him. He got in Malik's face over the botched handshake and the two of them began to jaw jack in the ring. Before things could get buckwild and crazy, Slaughter and Ace came down to the ring to break up the fracas. Additional referees came out to make sure nothing gets too crazy as Malik and Kazama continued to try to jaw at one another. Saget nervously kicked the live crowd (and the stream) to intermission as cooler heads TRIED to prevail. The quick cut to intermission sort of gave the segment a nifty little shoot vibe to it which was nice.

-As the live crew handled intermission, us stream folks got tossed to a hype video for Salvation and ANOTHER hype video for the Accountabilibuddy tournament. From there we went to Inquisitor who was still coming up with an idea that would top Aries'. He was on the phone with the PRW "insurance firm" and was asking how much death waivers would cost for his idea. When he was told, Quiz told the guy that he wouldn't afford a trip to the Serengeti if he had to cover that. He slammed the phone down angrily and said he'd go to the next idea.
Matthew Logan says he rewatched his match vs Ace Andrews and that "on points, it was a landslide 103 points to Ace's 52 points for me. Technically I won that thing." He promises that he's in better shape, he's cut down on the drinking for this one and is set to put Ace back to the mid card where he belongs. He says there's no way this one is going 25 minutes, not when he's quit drinking for it. He's going to drop Ace on his head, "stretch him like Dixie Carter's credibility" and then celebrate with a Burbon. Total heel shit from Logan.
Patrick Slaughter is with Takato Kazama backstage after the skirmish. Kazama expects Slaughter to flip out on him but instead Pat says he liked the aggression. He says the team, as it acts now, might not be good enough to win the belts and that the duo is going to have to ramp it up a bit. He said Kazama stood up for his pride and that was a big step forward. Sometimes you have to be rough in order to get what you want. He tells Takato that it's important to walk the fine line between effective aggression and rage and he thinks they can walk it. An interesting segment to say the least.
We then go to Ace Andrews throwing water on Malik's face in the bathroom. He tells Malik to calm down, he won the match and that's all that matters. Malik is upset because he feels like Kazama tried to step on his spotlight. Ace tells Malik to take a quick walk outside and let the cool air set him straight. After Malik leaves, Ace decides to cut a promo in the bathroom. Ace says he's not one to overlook Matthew Logan but he can't help but get chills when he thinks of main eventing in the Montecito Hotel in Las Vegas. He gets to main event in his hometown and in his casino vs Alex LeBlanc. He says he's beaten Alex before and he'll beat Alex again. Right before Ace is to guarantee victory at Salvation, he's interrupted by Alex LeBlanc stepping out of a bathroom stall.
Alex concedes that Ace beat him the last time the two rumbled but all that does is make them tied up in Undisputed title matches. Alex beat Ace, something Ace seems to forget all too often when he speaks. Alex says that he worked extremely hard to upset the odds and that noone, not Ace, "not that cock eating cunt" and not even Sean Aries is going to take that belt from him. There's a flush and out comes Sean Aries from a different stall. Aries reminds everyone that he IS the former Undisputed Champion and that he'd kill either of them to become champion again. The three of them begin to bicker among themselves when ANOTHER flush sort of cuts in. Another stall swings open and out comes Sylvia Wrath.
Sylvia- Before ya'll ask, the stalls was filled up in the Ladies room and I had to tinkle fierce.
Alex- Did you sit down? Or did you raise a leg like you normally do?
Sylvia ignores that comment and puts the focus on the fact that SHE is the next in line after Ace Andrews. She doesn't care who wins between Alex and Ace so long as people remember that she's the Destiny Child to become champion. Alex LeBlanc says that he vs Wrath is his dream match considering he gets to legally beat up a woman for a title belt. Wrath said judging by Alex's divorce, he's already lost to a woman with the big money on the line. Alex and Wrath went to throwdown when Aries stepped in between them to break it up. Sean Aries says that they'll be a time and a place for them to throw bows but it's not tonight. Ace agrees with Sean and reminds them that the last thing anyone needs is to get hurt before their match tonight. Alex and Wrath simmer down a bit and promise to continue the discussion down the road. All four guys wish each other luck (Alex and Wrath begrudgingly) and they go their separate ways. A good, difficult segment to pull off considering all four of these guys are faces with Alex being the only tweener in the group. The characters stood out here.
Matthew Logan vs Ace Andrews
Logan came out to massive heat, the master of heeldom back in the act. Logan looks to be in much better shape from his return matches which makes sense since his cardio in their first encounter was an issue. The match began with two different styles; Logan looking to slow things down and Ace looking to put massive pressure on Matt. Logan though is prepared for Ace's explosion and high impact offense and has developed or altered a defensive counter for just about anything. Ace would go for a powerbomb and Logan would scurry out from over the top and try to ground Ace down. Eventually Ace got desperate and wound up making a mistake which Logan jumped on to take the advantage. Ace went to the top rope to try and hit something and Logan "tripped" the referee into the ropes which caused Ace to bust his balls. Matty Logan pulled him off the top rope, dangling him and then spiked him with a DDT. This gave Logan the opportunity to beat the piss out of Ace, focusing now on his rib cage area to try and effect his breathing. Logan hit Ace with a beautiful looking Roderick Strong style gutbuster that had the entire crowd gasping in pain just from watching it.
Matthew Logan wrestled much tighter than his iPPV and match at the PPV. He was much crisper in the ring and he moved with a sense of fluidity. Unlike the first match where Ace Andrews took over once Logan basically gassed out, this time Ace is able to take over because of his natural athletic ability and his skill set to adapt on the fly. Logan launched at Ace for a Yakuza kick but Ace rolled under it and then threw Logan up over his head for an overhead belly to belly. This put Ace on the offensive (and in the process woke the crowd up) and he threw his arsenal at Ace Andrews. This time though Ace is conscious of the time limit and tries to finish Logan off as quick as possible. Ace hit Logan with rolling Half Nelson suplexes for a two count. Ace got more and more desperate with each move. This left Ace open to a counter, allowing Logan to reverse a Roll Of The Dice into his Tsunami DDT. Unfortunately for Logan, Ace Andrews in his near-concussed state was able to roll to the outside. Since you don't get a pin outside the ring, Matthew Logan had to take precious time to go outside, lift Ace Andrews' prone body up off the floor and roll him into the ring. Logan made the cover but Ace kicked out at two to a massive pop. Matthew Logan tried to go for another Tsunami DDT but Ace Andrews threw him off and countered with the Triple 7! Ace Andrews scrambled over to make the cover but before the ref's hand could hit for two, the ring bell rung. Bob Saget announced the match had hit the 25 minute time limit and we have a draw. Post match, Ace Andrews threw a fit about getting into ANOTHER time limit draw with Mattew Logan.
Ace Andrews and Matthew Logan wrestled to a 25 minute draw *** 1/2 out of ***** This was a somewhat longer version of their previous match move wise but the psychology was different. It was an interesting match but it moved a little too slow in the middle. It felt real old school which isn't a terrible thing or anything, just not for me. The psychology was sound as hell though.
The Four Way Co-Main Event Johnny Awesome vs Sylvia Wrath vs Canary Kid vs Ninja MAGIC
All four of these competitors have some level of familiarity with one another. Wrath and MAGIC have teamed and faced in the past, Canary Kid and Wrath dealt with one another in previous matches and Johnny Awesome and Sylvia have little love for one another. This match had a tough match to live up to in terms of following the Slaughter vs NOX vs Sylvia vs MAGIC match so instead it opted a different approach. The action was still somewhat fast and furious but a lot of the focus went to the character work. MAGIC was the good ole babyface, Wrath was the edgy face, Awesome was just looking to win some respect and Canary Kid was the smarmy heel. There was some team ups involved, mainly between Wrath and MAGIC to put a beating on Canary Kid. They broke out the old Hart Attack spot and the Power And Glory move on Canary Kid. The two of them fought over who would make the pinfall and that led to some good stuff between Wrath and MAGIC which ended in a TREMENDOUS feat of strength from Wrath to deadlift German suplex Ninja MAGIC. Wrath had the bridge but Johnny Awesome broke it up.
Awesome and Canary Kid did a team up at one point on Wrath. It looked like a good decision for a minute until Canary Kid dropped him with a DDT. I mean seriously, why would anybody team with Canary Kid? The match saw the return of the Tower of Doom spot with Wrath getting suplex while Kid got powerbombed by MAGIC while Johnny Awesome laid on the mat and got squashed and presumably killed. Canary Kid also locked in the crossface on Ninja MAGIC and I was SURE he had the tap out until Wrath broke it up at the last minute. The finish was somewhat creative as Johnny Awesome, who had been pot shotting Wrath and unafraid to actually face her head on, actually got up the gusto to challenge her face to face. Standing face to face with her, he kissed her (ya read that right) on the lips, probably in an attempt to woo her and keep himself from dying. As the kiss occurred, Canary Kid managed to lock Ninja MAGIC back into the crossface. The kiss incensed Wrath to the point where she punched Awesome in the face, dropping him instantly. She then began to violently soccer stomp him with reckless abandon as Johnny Awesome flailed around on the mat. Right before MAGIC tapped out, Johnny Awesome made a verbal submit to get the refs attention. MAGIC tapped but it was far too late, the ref heard Awesome submit first. Big pop for the Bulldyke's big win.
Sylvia Wrath defeats Johnny Awesome, Canary Kid and Ninja MAGIC in a four way match in 16 minutes. *** 1/2 out of ***** A fun match with everyone knowing their role and behaving inside of them. Wrath and MAGIC brought the goodness, Canary Kid brought the heelishness and Awesome was great as the guy trying to bring some relevance. The finish was somewhat creative as well and overall, it's was a fun breezy match with the right person going over.
There was announcement of a quick intermission to acomodate for the "construction of the match beyond.
We cut backstage to an interview of Aries, Alex, Emily and NOX to hype the oncoming War Games. Aries says over the past few days, he's been dealing with concussion symptoms, stomach flu, a whining Emily, an annoying Sylvia Wrath and a shooting Alex LeBlanc. He's had all the reasons to simply back out of this match with Smothers and do something else with his time. The thing is, Sean really REALLY wants to hurt Smothers. He's willing to deal with long term brain damage if he can finally squash Smothers and end this stupid little rivalry. Sean promises nothing but violence in the War Games and reminds Tracy and his crew that he can't be stopped, cant be moved, cant be rocked and can't be shook. He says the big man they've brought as their mystery partner hasn't been fed in 9 days and not even his own partners know if they can trust him. He promises that this is his war and with the help of his closest associates, he'll end it. Solid angry promo from Aries.
Matthew Logan is sitting backstage, sweaty and tired after his match. He is sipping on a Captain Morgan and he "admits" to having a fever of 104 going into this match. He said Ace is better than he thought but still not good enough to beat him. Ace has had plenty of opportunities to get the job done and failed every time. The sooner Ace realizes that he can't beat Logan, even one with a fever, the better off he'll be. As Logan is ranting, Tommy Nova walks up to him and gives him a high five. "Why is the hasbeen guy giving me a high five? I'm fucking Matt Logan!" Typical Logan stuff.
We then jump to Inquisitor celebrating a toast for some reason. He announces that he's found it! The perfect idea for the next iPPV: The Florida Rumble! The idea is simple in it's complexity of course. Rather than do a battle royal at the end of the night, they do it at the beginning of the rumble. The people who are eliminated determine the order of the matches and who fights who. The first guy fights the second guy eliminated and so on so forth. The winner gets to "book" his own iPPV as well as winning $100,000 (spread out over 5 years). He calls himself a genius and sips to his own success.

The War Games Cage MATCH The Alliance To End Seanamania: Tracy Smothers, New Jacq, Vladimir Makarov Koslov, Glenn Gilberti and a Mystery Partner vs Team Aries: Sean Aries, Alex LeBlanc, Emily Hart, Joey NOX and a mystery partner
Opening Two: Glenn Gilberti and Joey NOX. This was your basic War Games opener where the face throws the heel around a bunch and the crowd marks out. Joey threw Glenn into every wall of the cage and suplexed him around a bunch. The crowd chanted "Joey NOX" and everyone seemed completely sucked into the moment. "MMA Trainer" Glenn Gilberti offered little resistance beyond getting his ass kicked violently. Glenn Gilberti went for the Chartbuster but NOX shoved him off and hit him with a Sylvia Wrath style lariat to make Gilberti do a 180. It was then announced over the house mic by Saget that the heels had won the cointoss in the back for the advantage. Joey NOX put Glenn Gilberti in the Camel Clutch and faced the entrance way to see who would come out. Out comes Vladimir Makarov Koslov to give Team Smothers a 2-1 advantage. NOX lets go of the Camel Clutch to greet Vladimir Makarov Koslov with lefts and rights. Joey tried to hit off the ropes and ran right into a big boot from VMK.
MMA Glenn Gilberti and Vladimir Makarov Koslov double teamed on NOX. Gilberti held NOX while Koslov booted him in the face. They also took turns throwing him into the cage which brought back memories of old War Games matches past. Koslov showed off an impressive feat of strength by powerbombing the big (yes, NOX is big) NOX to a pseudo pop. The crowd tried to rally behind NOX and he succeeded in hitting a diving clothesline that put both guys down temporarily. With all 3 people down, the buzzer went off and Emily Hart came out to even things up. Big pop for Emily Hart as she got into the cage and went off on the rising Gilberti and Makarov Koslov. Her and NOX showed some decent tandem moves to try and keep the heat on Gilberti and Makarov. With Emily paired up with Gilberti and NOX throwing blows with Makarov, The sound of Natural Born Killaz hit over the PA and that signifies the arrival of New Jacq! Out comes New Jacq with a trash bin full of weapons.
New Jacq tries to throw her weapons into the cage but she's unable to squeeze them all in. Instead she opts to bring in a chair, a trash can lid and a guitar. She bolts into the ring and immediately nails Emily Hart over the head with a trash can lid and then followed THAT up with a trash can lid onto Joey NOX's head. Tracy Smothers slid a golf club into the ring for New Jacq to do the "put the trashcan lid on the groin and swing" spot onto NOX. What followed is the heel tandem taking turns beating NOX and Emily with all sorts of blunt objects. Thankfully after two minutes, Alex LeBlanc hit the ring as the 3rd member for team Aries. Alex was a complete babyface house of fire, including a Chin Check superkick to Glenn Gilberti. The crowd chanted "Al-ex" as he went after Koslov with wicked looking kicks and punches in the corner. Jacq tried to jump him from behind but Alex pulled the old no sell on her. He stalked her to a massive roar with Jacq begging off. Alex grabbed the guitar and teased nailing New Jacq over the head with it but got low blowed by Vladimir Makarov Koslov. Alex dropped the guitar, New Jacq picked it up and clobbered Alex over the head with it. This set off more of the heels beating the hell out of the babyface trio, Alex LeBlanc doing a nasty looking gusher after the guitar shot. Glenn Gilberti actually hit the chartbuster on Alex LeBlanc to some massive heat as well. Joey and Emily tried to rally for a comeback but with Alex down, it was fighting uphill.
Tracy Smothers got on the mic and said he was going to let his special guest take the 4th spot so he can get in there while the meat was still fresh. With NOX and Emily trying to fight for their lives, out came Dr. Frankensteiner. Dr. Frankensteiner, for those curious, was Scott Steiner dressed up as Dr. Mario. Dr. Frankensteiner got in the ring and immediately began throwing people around with suplexes of all varieties. He got NOX with the belly to belly. He got Alex with an overhead belly to back. He even broke out the Frankensteiner off the top rope on Emily Hart! The crowd was torn between popping for Dr. Frankensteiner and completely hating the Smothers Alliance. Finally after what felt like an eternity, Sean Aries hit the ring to even things up 4 to 4. The roof came off as the shoeless Jorts wearing Sean Aries went WOOHA buck wild on everybody in the ring. He discuss punched Gilbert in the face, he jumped Vladimir Makarov Koslov from behind and tried to pummel him in the corner. He reversed a clothesline attempt by VMK and took him down with one of those Taker/Kane style diving clothesline. He even threw a chop right to the throat of Glenn Gilberti that certainly fractured a trachea. The crowd was all set for Aries to hit the shoot piledriver on New Jacq when Tracy Smothers got in the cage and jumped him from behind.
Tracy Smothers gave the heels an advantage and of course, Smothers went right after Aries partially concussed noggin. He DDT'd him twice as the heels beat down the bloodied NOX and Alex. Emily Hart tried to make the save with a top rope crossbody to take out Gilberti and New Jacq. Unfortunately VMK cut her off before she could get to Smothers and take HIM out. The heels all ganged up on Sean in the corner of the ring. They handcuffed Emily Hart to a side of the cage and told her she would watch as Smothers shoot piledrivered Aries repeatedly. When Smothers set Aries up for the shoot piledriver, the time buzzer went off and out walked MR. NO NECK FIVE COUNT KING KONG BUNDY! This signified the entrance of everyone and kicked off the Match Beyond! Because this is a PRW crowd, there was a massive pop for Bundy's entrance as he waddled down to the ring. He climbed in and immediately went to town on the heels with headbutts. Glenn Gilberti tried to retreat to the corner but ate one of the NoNeck splashes. New Jacq tried to jump NoNeck from behind but he headbutted her to the mat. He then hit the ropes and splashed her likely into a million M&Ms. Joey NOX hit VMK with a Hard NOX Fisherman Buster and then NoNeck Five Count splashed him too.
With Bundy having cleared out the heels, Aries was able to turn his attention to Tracy Smothers. Finally for the first time in their feud, Sean Aries was able to hit Tracy Smothers with the shoot piledriver to a massive pop. Not stopping there, Sean Aries picked Smothers up and gave him a second shoot piledriver for good measure. NoNeck FiveCount splashed Tracy Smothers as well with no heels to make the save. Alex LeBlanc put Glenn Gilberti in a sharpshooter, forcing Glenn to watch as Smothers got hit with a THIRD shoot piledriver by Sean Aries. Aries picked Smothers up and signified for one more shoot piledriver when Glenn Gilberti screamed out that The Alliance To End Seanamania surrendered. This drew a huge pop from the crowd and signified the end of this near-year long Smothers vs Aries rivalry.
Team Aries defeats The Alliance To End Seanamania in approximately 30 minutes. Glenn Gilberti surrendered to forfeit for Team Aries. *** out of ***** As a match this wasn't anything special but like most Aries vs Smothers stuff, it was a fun throwback to the overbooked sense of violence that ran wild in an era long gone. This one finally had the conclusion we all wanted with Sean Aries murdering Smothers and ridding him from PRW forever. The surprise guests were at the very least fun. Sides it's War Games. War Games is never bad.
Post match, the babyfaces celebrated as the heels (except Smothers) all exited to lick their wounds. The crowd showed their appreciation as the war between Smothers and Aries was brought to a close. Emily Hart was uncuffed and the faces began to exit the cage as well. Alex, NoNeck Five Count, NOX and Emily made their way to the back and thus it left Aries and Smothers alone in the cage. The ring crew began to take the cage apart as Smothers begged for a mic before Sean finished the job on him. A ring guy handed Smothers the mic as he tried to stand up in the ring.
Smothers told Sean that he was defeated and that the better man won. Tracy promised a big surprise for Sean: he's just a small part in a big plan. Aries asked Smothers what the hell he meant. Smothers tells Sean that he was a hired gun with a personal vendetta...but that someone else is pulling the strings to get Sean out of wrestling. Aries tried to question who Smothers was hired by but all a delirious Smothers could do was cackle and say "Mark, yer gonna have to beat this game on a tougher difficulty to find that out." On cue, one of the "ring crew guys"bolted into the War Games cage and attacked Sean from behind! He stomped on Sean Aries as the crowd tried to figure out what the fuck was going on. The ring crew member removed his hat and jacket to reveal a BALD Sean Waltman!
Not only was he bald but Waltman had a THUG LIFE tattoo on his stomach. Waltman spin kicked Smothers on the face, commandeered the live mic and told Aries that he just entered "6Pac Shakur's Thugz Mansion". Sean Waltman spat on Aries and said Sean just felt what it feels like when "6Pac rides on his enemies." Waltman said since Smothers couldn't get the job done, the "man" called him into action to finish the job. 6Pac Shakur is here to rid Sean Aries from wrestling and that revenge will be the sweetest joy next to getting pussy. He donked Aries with the mic but NOX, Alex and Emily ran down to make the save. They tried to get in through the door but 6Pac Shakur bolted out a section where the cage had been removed. He booked it through the crowd for the exit as NOX and Alex gave pursuit. We ended the live stream with 6Pac Shakur hopping into a waiting car and speeding off. Our last sight is Joey NOX and Alex LeBlanc watching the car peel off into the black night.
So that'll do it for Aries and Smothers At the 2012 War Games! We got a decent undercard, a funny battle royal, the 2nd half of the show delivered in full and we got the end of Aries vs Smothers. In the process of Smothers and Aries being wrapped up, we also saw the debut of Sean Waltman as 6Pac Shakur. Well worth the money even if the wrestling could've been better. Also no title matches? WTF guys!
