The following was released by PRWrestling, net and was circulated on all the major wrestling sites. The release may have been sped up to one PRW wrestler (Tommy Nova) discussing it on his twitter.
PRW Announces It Takes Two! Another PRW iPPV on December 9th, 2011
The buys have been tallied and PRW officials are overwhelmed with the success of "We Did It First!" The fans have been adamant that they want even more online PRW action with the biggest and brightest stars of the PRW. We've had many gimmick shows pitched by fans (Listen, we're gonna do a Battle Bowl eventually so stop asking) but we decided to take it back to the original iPPV. No we don't mean corporate sponsorships, we're talking about a tournament!
The last time PRW did a tournament, it was sponsored by Sony and was won by Travis Levitt. Levitt was given a Pirate Ship for his victory and hasn't been seen since, even though his "return" is being rumored. This time, they'll be no sponsors, title ships or even singles matches. On December 9th, 2011 from the Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas, the PRW will present It Takes Two! This show will be an iPPV from the beautiful Palms Luxury Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and a tournament will take place. This time though, it will be a one night 8 team tournament with the winning team getting a title shot in the new year!
The Format: Stage One
*8 Teams will compete in 4 Stage One tag team matches. The matches will be worked under a 20 minute time limit with traditional PRW rules.
*Should a match not end within the 20 minute time limit. There will be ONE 5 minute overtime period. If a winner isn't decided in that 5 minute period, both teams are eliminated from the tournament.
The Format: Stage Two
*The teams that advance will then all take part in a one fall to the finish match. If 4 teams advance, it will be a four corners tag team match. If 3 teams survive, it's a triple threat match and so on so forth. The match will be held under PRW rules with NO time limits.
*The winning team will get a title shot within the next six months at a location of their choosing.
*The team that suffers the pinfall/submission/KO loss will be banned from getting a title shot over the next six months.
The Teams:
1.The Onslaught- Patrick Slaughter and Takato Kazama
2.Mellie Mel's Goon Squad-Eddie Kingston and Slugga
3.Xclusiv Canary- Canary Kid and Adam Xclusiv
4.Death by 1,000 Kawada Kicks- Ninja MAGIC and Sylvia Wrath
5.Written In The Cartwheels/Turner Corp- Mr. Turner and Johnny Awesome
6.The Revolution-Josh Phoenix and Tommy Nova
7.Pirate Booty- "Travis Levitt" and Jasmine Mitchell (We doubt Levitt has survived but he's booked I guess)
8.Mystery Team
Bonus Matches
*Sean Aries and Smothers collide...in a Lions Den Match! -PRW's Undisputed Champion led a team of 4 against Tracy Smothers' team of 4 at PRW We Did It First. Aries team was victorious but Sean was disqualified after Smothers shoot piledrivered his secretary Emily Hart. Aries took a chair to Smothers for some personal satisfaction but nearly cost his team. "I know you PRW fans like to believe I don't care because it's easy to just assume I don't rather than get to know me but...I love Emily. Not in a GF way but in a "hey she's a cool cousin way!" Aries told PRW management in an interview, "To have that Inbred hick put his hands on Emily when he's got plenty of sister cousins to shoot piledriver in private." Aries put out the challenge to Smothers and told him to pick the stipulation. Smothers got back to PRW management with a challenge of a Lions Den match! "A guy like Aries", Smothers said, "needs to be taken into a southern style cage and beaten like he should've been beaten up in Juvie." Smothers and Sean Aries will duel in a Lions Den Cage which hasn't been seen in wrestling since 1999! "Smothers must not be familiar with the way I grew up if he thinks I'm going to be afraid of being in a cage", quipped Aries. "I practically lived in a cage until I was 9 and one could say despite all my rage, I am STILL just a rat in a cage."
*The tag champions in singles matches! With a tournament determined to discover the new contenders, our humble tag champions of Malik Logan and Ace Andrews were left out into the cold. Originally the tag champions were scheduled to face the Black Suit Outlaws, Joey NOX and Alex LeBlanc. Unfortunately, Joey NOX is dealing with a concussion after getting hit in the face with Melle Mel's Iron Mic. With NOX out, the tag champs were then broken up into two separate matches. In one match, Ace Andrews will try to take a major step up the ladder of PRW legend status as he takes on former PRW Undisputed Champion and returning icon Matthew Logan! As Logan put it on his twitter after discovering the news: "There is only one Mt. Olympus in the PRW and I'm the Zeus, bitch." In the second match featuring the tag champions, Malik Logan will go head to head with the #1 contender for the PRW title, Alex LeBlanc! Logan and Alex have never faced off before which should put a special spit shine on this top flight encounter.
The price for the iPPV, "It Takes Two!" will be $14.99. Anyone who pre-orders the event will get the special edition "Best of Serial" DVD box set featuring matches against Joey NOX, Heavy Metal Hero, Sean Aries and "that one time he won the belt for a few hours". Be sure to join us on December 9th for a tremendous night of action!

Analyzing the tournament
We're less than a week away from "It Takes Two" and the hype is beginning to mount for this one night only tag team tournament. Even if Sean Aries vs Tracy Smothers is the marquee match, the intrigue seems to revolve around the discovery of what could be our next tag team champions. 8 teams have agreed to vie for the opportunity and the brackets have been set out. With unbiased eyes, we at the offices of PRW have taken the liberty to analyze these outstanding matches.
Death by 1,000 Kawada Kicks vs Written In The Cartwheels
*Size vs Energy*----Sylvia Wrath and Ninja MAGIC will find themselves at a disadvantage in the size department but a severe advantage in the energy and aggression category. Awesome and Turner both stand at 6'3 which should give them a distinct leverage advantage. Where Wrath and MAGIC excel are in the energy and what is often known as "effective aggressiveness". Sylvia Wrath may be known for her aggression but it's of a calculated nature compared to her opponents. Ninja MAGIC has impressed early in his PRW career in no small part due to seemingly relentless, energetic pace and tenacity. If Wrath and MAGIC are able to outpace their larger opponents and avoid getting thrown around, the scales tip decisively in their favor. On the other hand if Awesome and Turner impose their will on Death by 1,000 Kawada Kicks, this could be a major upset.
*Championship Experience*----Let's not forget, Sylvia Wrath has experience as a PRW champion. Cyanide titles aside, Wrath has tasted gold as a member of the Violence Party of 3 tandem and has been involved in quite a few contender matches thus far in her PRW career. Her high level experience could be parlayed into a victory when compared to Turner and Awesome's lack thereof on the big stages of the PRW.
*Minor Detail of the Match*----Ninja MAGIC has already defeated Johnny Awesome once in singles competition.
The Onslaught vs The Revolution
*Any Day Now Fellas*----Patrick Slaughter and Takato Kazama have gone from obscure underling talents to established stars. Unfortunately, they seem to have been frozen in a limbo like status as Slaughter has been rebuked on title attempts and Kazama has recently dropped a match to Canary Kid. The talent is there but the consistency isn't...unless we're to consider their inability to clinch a big win as a sign of consistent choke artists. On paper, The Revolution will be the underdog due to the experience, team work and established nature of Slaughter and Kazama. This is a match they should win but they've let the fans down enough that doubt has begun to creep in. It may be reasonable to wonder how much of this is all psychological now for the Onslaught.
*The Pressure To Impress*----It's no secret that Phoenix and Nova have not done much to win over a locker room that despised them from the onset. Their attitude, behavior and inconsistency caused established PRW stars to shun them and openly root for their failure. Against Slaughter and Kazama, the opportunity to win back some respect in the court of public opinion is there. It's not beyond reach considering the talent of Nova and the leadership of Phoenix. The question is will the pressure to impress the roster push them beyond their gameplan and force them to wrestle recklessly? Furthermore will the Onslaught feel under any pressure to put a beating on two newbies who have, in the past, unceremoniously dumped all over the company? The team with the better grasp on their emotions will have the advantage.
*Minor Detail Of The Match*----Despite the pushing of The Onslaught as choke artists, the quality of competition has a lot to do with it. Losses to Rated X, The Black Suit Outlaws and Violence Party of 3 have somewhat marred their W/L record in title and title contendership situations. The quality of opposition should not be as dramatic this time.
Melle Mel's Goon Squad vs Pirate Booty
*Who shows up?*---- Jasmine Mitchell's pregnancy has been well documented. Travis Levitt's disappearance and sudden reappearance has been discussed adnauseum. Eddie Kingston's inability to show up consistently is stuff of lore. The question remains then: which of thee two teams is more likely to show up? Melle Mel's Goon Squad may be competing for not just a one off title opportunity but for their professional careers if the UWF folds. Travis Levitt and Jasmine Mitchell's somewhat spur of the moment tandem could reinvigorate their careers. This match is a true wild card because neither team seems to have shown their "hand" so to speak. It'll be the power of Kingston and Slugga vs the speed of Jazzy and the ring generalship of Captain Travis Levitt.
*WHO'S SIDE IS HE ON?!?*----While it may be lost on most people, Travis Levitt was well on his way to becoming one of the bigger stars in PRW before he won the High Octane tournament. He got on a pirate boat and disappeared. It's rumored that during a raid of another boat, Levitt found a sword with an eyeball that consumed his soul and turned him evil. It's speculated Levitt's good soul is still roaming the sea, looking for another sword that can defeat his evil fiery other half. Normally this would sound ridiculous but there's nothing normal int he world of Travis. Regardless, Travis' return signifies the return of a PRW dignitary. The question is whether Levitt has returned fresh from the sea ready for war or whether he had a Stephens and Dudley-esque situation at the high seas which has corroded his brain.
*Minor Detail Of The Match*----Melle Mel's Goon Squad with a tournament win could be the first team to earn a title shot within their first 3 matches inside the PRW since Rated X did it over a year and a half ago.
Xclusiv Canary vs A MYSTERY TEAM
*We'll Take The Mystery Box*----Part of the fun intrigue of this match is the question revolving around who is the mystery team. The internet (which is normally really good at stuff like this) has thrown out names like The Headbangers, Berren Blaze and Daydream, No Limit, The Black Suit Outlaws and The Ring Crew Express. We can confirm that none of those teams are are the mystery team. That said, we still don't know who IS the mystery team. Canary Kid and Adam Xclusiv seem unconcerned but who knows what they're really saying behind closed doors. We do know an informal poll of PRW wrestlers showed that 80% would be concerned about an opponent they couldn't prepare for.
*Mutual Admiration Society or A Powder Keg?*----It would be reasonable to suggest that Canary Kid is difficult to get along with. At the same time, Adam Xclusiv has no friends and is generally disliked by the PRW roster. These two divisive personalities have been paired up and there is a legitimate wonder as to how they'll jive in the ring. Canary Kid is already hocking threats at Xclusiv and this could be a situation that turns ugly for Xclusiv and Canary. If they can't get along, they'll be forever shamed as "that team that lost to those mystery guys".
*Minor Detail of The Match*-----Despite his 0-3 record in PRW title matches recently, Xclusiv is 2-0 in title contender situations since 2010. Likewise Canary Kid has close to a 75% win percentage since the start of the Trios Tournament.
