The fans in attendance at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas begin to settle down as the stage is set for the next match. After a few moments of dead air and a live shot of the audience, we cut to Josh Brunswick and Doug Smith waiting for their que.

Josh Brunswick: Well, ladies and gentleman, our next match will be a bout between former PRW Undisputed Champion Matthew Logan and relative PRW newcomer and current PRW Tag Team Champion, Alex Sean with the winner gaining a shot at the PRW International Championship.

Doug Smith: I really don't even understand why this match is happening. Alex Sean comes in and gets to have a title match under his own rules and through pure blind luck manages to get the tag titles, and now all of a sudden he's got an opportunity at the International Championship?

Josh Brunswick: Well, before he can get to that he's got to go through his opponent and Matthew Logan is no joke.

Doug Smith: It doesn't matter, it's not like either of these guys stand a chance against the champ.

Josh Brunswick: That remains to be seen but regardless, let's go now to the ring where Bob Saget is standing by.

With that, we cut to the center of the ring where, as expected, Bob Saget is standing by.

Bob Saget: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Number One Contender's Match for the PRW International Championship!

With the introductions in order, we cut to the stage just as the lights begin to fade and the echoing choir of "Stand Your Ground; This is Ancient Land" by Enter Shikari begins to resonate from the sound system. The lights continue to lower as the low strings hum throughout the arena.

Doug Smith: This is the most indulgent entrance for a guy two matches into his career here that I have ever seen.

Then, as the double time drum rhythm and high guitar notes blare the stage strobes with flashing colored lights. The drum beat commences upon the song hitting it's final notes, and the strobing lights cease, replaced by a simple spotlight highlighting the center of the stage. The choir continues to reverberate until the chaotic blast of "Enter Shikari" by Enter Shikari strikes triggering fast moving colored lights to strobe at the rhythm of the synthesizer. In the background, the strobe light blinks on and off at half the speed until finally the guitars and vocals kick in and Alex Sean steps out from behind the curtain to an orchestra of jeers.

Josh Brunswick: As expected, Alex Sean not making a whole lot of friends here tonight.

With a defiant smirk on his face Alex Sean begins his walk down the ramp revealing, behind him, PRW Legend Lion Merteuil!

Josh Brunswick: This could be interesting.

Doug Smith: What is he doing here with this guy?

Josh Brunswick: I've heard that Sean and Lion have trained together extensively, Sean after all being the man that initially trained Lion Merteuil for professional wrestling. I have to imagine that training with Lion Merteuil, a man who is undefeated against the "Hero of Wrestling", could be a significant edge tonight for Alex Sean.

Sean makes it roughly half-way down the ramp, Lion only a few feet behind him, as Bob Saget makes his introduction.

Bob Saget: Making his way to the ring first... Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland he weighs in at 225 lbs... He is one half of the PRW Tag Team Champions... Alex Sean!

The announcement of Sean's name generates an even stronger reaction of boos from the audience, but the PRW Tag Team Champion pays them no mind. He reaches the ring steps just as the bridge kicks in and the drums rev up. As Sean begins to hop in place, three, small rotating spotlights revolve above him. With Sean paused at the steps, Lion Merteuil silently slides in beneath the bottom rope and steps over to Sean's corner. Finally, the chorus kicks in and Sean rushes up the ring steps and to the apron. He removes his black hoodie, tossing it in to Lion, and from outside the ring climbs the turnbuckle. He rests one leg on the second buckle then, at the height of the chorus, steps one foot up to the top and rests his elbows upon it, staring out at the audience.

Doug Smith: This is unbearable, Brunswick. Seriously.

Sean grabs ahold of the top rope then slingshots himself into the ring. He regains his footing and takes his place in his corner, awaiting the arrival of Matthew Logan.

MATTHEW
The Wildcard
The crowd buzzes in anticipation of what is coming next. The lights dim and the crowd explodes. Instead of the Rolling Stones, however, a sampled track from Steven Winwood's "Valerie" begins to loop. On the screen, a silhouette of Matthew Logan in the Vitruvian Man position on a background of shifting colors. One by one, tall, buxom, blonde women come out to the stage in 80's aerobics attire. As the music swells, the ladies stretch and limber up. The lights slowly brighten and once their at full brightness, the bass kicks in. In time with the music, the women drop into riding stance and begin pelvic thrusts. The crowd erupts with cheers as the "Call On Me" video is happening live, and for them, in Texas of all places. Matthew makes is way out from behind the curtain wearing a hot pink variation of his ring gear, the Tristate/Great Lakes World Heavyweight title, and aviator sunglasses as a young woman dressed as Kate from Breakin' follows him down.

Smith: God I love this guy!

Brunswick: He certainly has a sense of humor but I don't know what this is doing other than getting on Alex Sean's nerves or making him chuckle.

Smith: And whose the chick?

Brunswick: She has been identified as Allysynn Hollywood; another graduate of Catch U.

Logan hands Allysynn his belt and shades as he dances around ringside. Lion uncontrollably chuckles in Sean's corner as Sean tries to stay focused. The music stops, all the ladies except for Allysynn leave, and Logan rolls into the ring. Lauderdale keeps the men at a distance from each other as Logan's expression flipped like a coin; once jovial has turned to dead serious.

Brunswick: Lion at ringside probably doesn't bode well for Matthew. Those two have some bad blood.

Smith: Well he doesn't have to deal with Lion, he's got Alex Sean, his trainer. Which I don't see how that makes anything that much better.

The bell rings and the two men circle one another, Logan keeping an eye on Lion before he meets Sean with a collar-and-elbow. Sean hooks Matthew's arm in an overhook before dropping to a knee and taking him over with a fireman's carry. He tries to maintain the armbar but Logan shoots the legs up and hooks Sean in a headscissors; taking him to the canvas. Sean tries to pry Logan's legs off but Matthew manages to take control of Sean's arm and twist it into a compression wristlock also known as a Bouncer Hold.

Brunswick: Logan feeling out Sean, keeping him on the mat to try and work his angles.

Matthew transitions into a standard overhand wristlock with his headscissors before Sean tries to roll back. He gets to his knees and Matthew unhooks his head; kicking over into a traditional wristlock. Sean rolls forward, kips up, spins out, and applies a wristlock of his own. He torques Matthew's arm and Logan takes the cue. He flips over with a front handspring, setting up for a standing back tuck and nearly sticks the landing but landing on a knee instead. He gets up, spins under the overhand wristlock, ducks between Sean's arms, fishes his free arm through, and gets the traditional wristlock back to some applause.

Brunswick: A nice technical display here. These men on paper are so evenly matched, it'll really come down to an X-factor to see who picks up the win tonight.

Sean doesn't wait long for the set up. He does a forward roll and stays seated. He spins towards Matthew and drops back, using his feet to pry Logan's hands off. He spins on his ass again and gets the wristlock before standing up.

Smith: And we have more wristlocks.

Brunswick: Doug, wristlocks are the foundation of pro wrestling. Without wristlocks, we would have no 450 splash.

Smith: That doesn't make any sense.

Logan's arm gets the quick torque before he sets up his next escape. Logan does some quick stretching, no doubt a tribute to Johnny Saint, before turning into Sean and ducking under his arms with his back to him and grabs his arm. Suddenly, Matthew goes limp and he falls back against Alex. Sean's natural instincts kick in and he steps back; letting Logan down, albeit unintentionally, softly to the canvas. From his back, Logan quickly kips up and pulls Sean into a forced waistlock on himself. Logan spins around, Sean holding him in a bearhug, and begins to bridge back. Slowly but surely, Logan bridges back to the point where only his toes and the tip top of his head are balancing his body off the canvas. Logan holds his arms out in front of him and Sean takes the bait. He locks knuckles on both hands before kicking his legs up into a handstand. The momentary stall is all Logan needs however as he lets go of the bridge and gets the boots up. Sean comes down on Logan's feet and he shoves him off. Sean pulls Matthew up and Logan springs in looking for a headscissors. Sean shoves Matthew off as he goes for the frankensteiner and Matthew barely lands on his feet. Matthew holds his hands out but Sean ignores it; he's tired of the games. He tries to shove Matthew's hands away but Logan grabs his wrist instead and wrings it out with a wristlock. He goes behind and lets go of the arm before hopping over Sean with a leapfrog. Matthew drops down and crawls between Alex's legs, again going behind him before he can even realize what's happening. Sean turns and sees Logan standing in a karate bow-and-arrow stance, teasing Sean to go for the front leg. Sean, disoriented and confused, just goes for it as Matthew goes behind and rolls Sean up in a school boy.

ONE!

Sean kicks out and backs away, keeping his distance from his seeming technical superior.

Brunswick: Amazing, Matthew Logan blending lucha libre and British Lancashire in one sequence.

Smith: That thing you said earlier. I can see that now.

Logan stares down Sean and licks his lips before winking and puckering his lips. Lion talks some strategy into Sean and Alex nods. He gets up and meets Matthew in another collar-and-elbow but this time Logan gets the jump. He overhooks Alex's arm and torques the shoulder in a British Courting Hold. The consummate grappler, Sean knows every way out of this hold. He runs around Logan, forcing him to turn with him, before he grabs onto the nearest top rope. Rather than just get the break, he swings his legs over the top and flips back out of the slingshot; unwinding the shoulder. Logan goes in while Sean is off guard and ducks under with a school yard trip; sticking his leg out behind Alex's feet and shoving him back. Sean rolls through and grabs Logan's ankle; pulling him off base and forcing him onto his back. Sean scissors Matthew's ankle between his legs in an ankle pick. Logan sweeps his free leg over Sean's head as he grabs onto the wrist. He forces Sean back and goes for a cross armbar. Sean unhooks the ankle and rolls back. Logan sweeps into an omaplata, he chickenwings the free arm, and turns Sean over into a modified la casita.

ONE!

Sean kicks out! He quickly gets up and throws the first literal punch of the match to the back of Logan's head. He picks him up and backs him into the nearest corner before whipping him across the ring. He follows him in but takes a sharp left to the ropes as Logan turns and hits the turnbuckles with authority. As Logan staggers, Sean ducks under Matthew with a fireman's carry takeover and rolls through. He flips Logan onto his stomach with la polaca before hooking the free arm in a chickenwing and rolling back; taking Matthew over into the Rivera Special pin.

ONE!

TWO!

Logan kicks out and backs off, recognizing that Sean isn't what he assumed at first. He keeps his distance, but maintains focus on Alex Sean as he awaits the next exchange.

OOC: I hope this is enough to get us started, don't disappoint me and best of luck.

OOC: And 48 hr rule

Logan and Sean stare each other down as the tension builds. Two men with no previous history, one of them an outsider, the other a PRW legend. Sean gets to his feet as Lion tries to rally him from the corner. Sean and Matthew meet in the center of the ring and Logan kicks him in the gut before locking in a side headlock. His arm securely wrapped around the back of his head, torquing his neck, Sean does his best to go with the pressure to position Logan later on. He slowly and passively forces Logan to turn before driving him back into the ropes and firing him off. Matthew hits the ropes and comes back to get dropped with a shoulder tackle. Sean hits the near ropes as Logan rolls onto his front and Alex jumps over. Alex rebounds back towards Logan who sets up from his knees and sweeps Alex's leg as he comes in. He drops down with a quick lateral press but does a low cartwheel off. Sean sits up not knowing what to expect and Logan plants both boots into the back of his skull with a dropkick. A resounding applause and a small section yelling "Awesome Dropkick, Matthew Logan!" meets Logan after he hits his vintage signature. Sean rolls away to his corner, Lion laying into him for his mistake as he says things like "I told you to look out for that!" and "Where's your head, man!? It's all him right now!" Lauderdale gets between Lion and Alex, doing his reffly duties and making sure no shenanigans take place. Logan is also in his corner, carefully whispering instructions to Allysynn who nods at the instructions. Sean picks himself up in the corner and Logan is on the move. He charges in looking for a cornered Gangster Kick but Sean ducks around. With Logan's leg hooked on the top rope, he easily ducks under his arm and hooks over the shoulder as he cradles the leg. He drags Logan away from the corner before bridging back with a Regal-plex.

ONE!

TWO!

Kick out! Logan tries to get up but Sean is already on him with a sprawl. He cinches in the front facelock before leading him over to the turnbuckle. A quick elbow to the back takes him to a knee and he pulls him up to his feet before scooping him up and planting him with a body slam. He goes over to the turnbuckles and starts to ascend.

Brunswick: Alex Sean, know for his ability to fly, is probably going for his 450 Splash.

Smith: And Logan is just laying there, letting it happen.

Sean scales the turnbuckles and stands tall on the top. He readies his arms, the primary source of momentum, by raising them up slightly. The key to the 450 splash is getting in tight while making sure you have the momentum to carry you. Sean, having done this move hundreds of times, knows this to a tee. He executes it to textbook perfection. The leaps off the top rope with a forward dive, coming off lateral to the to the ring with enough height for some hang time. As he brings his torso in, he tucks his knees tight to his body; creating a ball and finishing 2/3 of his rotation before the apex of his arc. He continues to rock forward to keep his momentum going and finish his rotation. As he comes down, nearly in position for the body press, he sees Logan has suddenly moved. He quickly manages to adjust his position to come down on the balls of his feet drop into an ukemi forward roll. He turns to see Logan getting up in the corner. Matthew begins to stomp out of the corner but suddenly goes flying, diving into the air and landing flat on his face. He turns and points at Lion. "He tripped me!" he lied as Lion holds up his hands and honestly proclaims he did nothing to provoke the fall. Lauderdale goes over to Lion to investigate as Sean goes in to try and take the advantage one way or another. He pulls Logan up in a front facelock but Matthew quickly reverses into a hammerlock. He ducks under Sean's arm and steps over his leg, a Dos Caras Clutch position, but it takes a foul turn as Logan swings his leg back into Alex's groin. He turns and ducks under his chin before using his free arm to grab his head and drop to a knee with a chin breaker. Sean lays on the canvas, holding face and crotch alike, as Matthew comes in a starts choking him like a horny Japanese business man was paying him. Brett turns to see the illegal tactic and intervenes. He counts

ONE! And Logan doesn't respond.

TWO! Sean starts to turn purple.

THREE! Lion yells direction at everyone in the ring from telling Lauderdale to break it up, Sean to escape, and Logan on correct thumb placement when strangling a prostitute.

FOUR! And Brett has seen enough, he just pulls Logan off and Matthew breaks his illegal tactic clean. Simultaneously, he goes to one of the turnbuckles as Allysynn goes to another. Brett checks on Sean, making sure he can continue and he says he can. Logan begins to untie the top turnbuckle, slowly, making sure each lace comes undone as Allysynn rapidly unties the laces on her corner's bottom pad. Brett turns to Matthew and sees him undoing the turnbuckle and calls him on it. Matthew stops and proclaims he was going to retie it; it was loose. Brett rolls his eyes and shoves past Logan, again turning his back to the action. Matthew walks over to Sean, who is on a knee, and balls his fist. He cocks it back before letting loose to the side of his jaw with a thunderous right hand. The audible crack of the clashing of bone echos throughout the arena as Sean falls over onto his side and Logan cradles his hand.

Brunswick: Well I guess it serves him right. Maybe a broken hand would teach Logan to follow the rules.

Smith: Or, he can go all Bob Orton on him and beat his ass wearing a cast.

Brunswick: That scenario seems more likely, unfortunately.

Matthew shoots a glance over to Allysynn who has removed the bottom turnbuckle pad and no one has noticed. He goes over to Sean and begins to pick him up and finally Lion loses it. He tries to enter the ring but Matthew sees it and immediately runs over to Brett like a frightened child. He turns him around and points Lion out like a tattle tale as he steps into the ring. Brett goes over and starts arguing with Mr. Merteuil and Logan keeps on his underhanded crusade. He pulls Sean up to his feet and drags him over to the corner. He hits him with a throat thrust before cinching in a full nelson. Logan steps over his leg and suddenly drives forward; sending Alex Sean's head into the exposed bottom turnbuckle. Logan backs away as he tries to get Lauderdale's attention once again. Lion finally goes to the floor as Brett turns back to the in ring action. Logan turns back around to see Sean has rolled under the bottom rope onto the ring apron; his veteran instincts kicking in at just the right time.

Brunswick: Alex Sean, the consummate pro, making sure to get into a position he can't be pinned in while trying to regain his composure.

Matthew rolls his eyes as all his planning has just gone down the crapper. Slightly pissed, he goes over to Sean as he looks up at the lights, a small trickle of blood on his forehead from where the turnbuckle hit him. Logan reaches over the middle rope and starts to pull Alex up to his feet. He pulls him over the middle rope, trying to lead him in, but Sean suddenly explodes with a shoulder to the midsection that sends Logan staggering back. Matthew goes back in and Sean hits another shoulder block. Third time's a charm as Logan goes in again, Sean goes for the shoulder and Logan side steps to kick the rope into Alex's throat. Sean crumbles once again, this time against the ropes. Matthew grins like a maniac as he grabs Sean's left wrist. He pulls him in the ring halfway by his famous left arm before setting it up in a double wrist lock. Logan sneers as he falls back with the single-arm DDT; driving Alex Sean's shoulder into the canvas at a high angle as his legs are caught in the ropes.

Brunswick: Jeez, did you see that!? He practically ripped the shoulder right out of the socket with that jumping arm breaker!

Smith: That's Logan. Using the ring as a weapon, and with good reason.

Brunswick: What's the reason for this?

Smith: He wants to win. He needs to face Driver. He needs to end the Black Sheep now before they can gain any more steam. Usually I'm the one who's not following anything, Christ.

Sean holds his arm as he rolls away from Logan. The Charging Lariat taken away, Sean's gameplan has to change quickly otherwise he's screwed.

OOC: Going for kill

Sean rolls on the canvas holding his shoulder. The angle and the impact doing him no favors in that his primary finishing move has just been taken not only out of this match, but perhaps more of Alex Sean's matches to come. Logan looks down at Sean who appears to be more hurt than originally assumed and nudges him with his foot. Each tap displaying a different state of mind. The first is inquisitive, like a child poking a dead fox with a stick. The second is more aggressive, like an annoyed host kicking the passed out, drawn on body of his drunk buddy on the floor of the frat house. The third is malicious, in fact, it wasn't even a small nudge, but a full soccer punt to the lower back. The shot wakes the dead as Alex Sean sits up and Logan applies a front facelock.

Smith: Is it just me or does Logan look really angry?

Brunswick: Well, he's insulted. Sean was handed the tag title shot and he cheated to get it. He was handed a number one contender match and quite frankly, it's been all Logan. Sean just isn't ready.

And Logan is very irritated. He pulls Sean up from the front facelock and sets him up for a scoop slam. He lifts Alex up and he slips behind. He quickly locks in an inverted chancery and drops to a knee with a backbreaker. He holds Logan up before swinging his arm under and twisting into a neckbreaker.

Brunswick: Alex Sean with a backbreaker into an Old School Expulsion.

Logan lays on the canvas holding his neck as Sean cradles his shoulder. He picks Logan up and hits him with a Thai kick to the leg before backing him into the ropes. He goes for an Irish whip but Logan reverses and slaps Sean's hand away. The momentary stall providing Logan with an opening to hit Alex in the shoulder with an enzugiri step-up kick. The pain forces Sean to take a knee as Logan rolls away to create some distance. He runs in but Sean rolls out of the ring to avoid any further offense from The PRW Wildcard. The crowd boos heavily.

Smith: Come on! Get in the ring, you pussy!

Brunswick: Sean's veteran tactics working to his advantage as he creates space but it would probably do him more good to actually wrestle the damn match.

Logan pleads to Lauderdale to do something; this shit is really getting on his nerves. Sean runs over to Lion who checks on his mentor's shoulder. The two huddle on the outside, near their corner. Lion examines the arm as Lauderdale counts. Matthew, is not so patient. He doesn't see Alex Sean; he sees Thomas Driver. He sees a future run at the International title. He sees future runs at the Undisputed title. He sees the future and right now Alex Sean is standing in the way. No longer able to take it, Matthew shoves past Lauderdale and hops onto the top turnbuckle facing the ring. He steps back to balance on the actual ring post before flipping back to the outside with la mortal; a suicide moonsault. Logan recklessly backflips into Lion and Sean, taking them both out with ease. Sean, who instinctively gets his hands up, takes the brunt of Logan's airborne weight into his weakened arm. The three men lay on the outside. Lion taken off guard and wiped out. Sean's left arm aching. And Logan just a little winded from the impact. He is the first to his feet as he drags Alex Sean over to the ring.

Brunswick: Matthew Logan looking to finish this and go on to Christmas Carnage.

Smith: Logan not very fond of Christmas Carnage if I do recall.

Brunswick: Well, there's a saying in Chicago "There's always next year."

Matthew rolls Sean into the ring and follows him in. He hooks him from a sprawl and stands up before cinching in a hangman's noose. He looks out into the crowd before swinging his leg back but Sean shoves out at the last possible tenth of a second to avoid the World's Greatest Finishing Move. Matthew is staggered but still has his wits about him as Sean turns right into a savate kick under the chin; the shot sending him stumbling into the corner.

Brunswick: Logan looking for the kill there but Sean not quite ready yet.

Sean dizzily lays up in the corner as Logan runs in. He steps off the middle rope and crushes Alex with a Shining Wizard he calls the Mad Scientist. Logan pulls Sean out of the corner and into a standing headscissors before yelling out...

"I see dead people!"

And hoisting Sean up. Logan gets a small run to the center of the ring before sitting out and planting Alex Sean with a running piledriver.

Brunswick: Oh my God! Mad Scientist into a running piledriver and Sean is not looking so good.

Smith: That kid is fading fast, it's only a matter of time.

And not mush time as Logan gets up and stomps back over to the corner. He quickly but intently climbs to the top turnbuckle, facing away from the ring, as he for a second time executes a backflip, this time landing in a body press on the prone Alex Sean with a moonsault.

Brunswick: Moonsault!

Sean is crushed under Logan's weight and he curls up following the impact. Logan forgoes the pin in favor of something more diabolical. He goes into a full mount on Sean and starts raining down punches like Tito Ortiz from like seven years ago before locking Sean down and rolling into a rubber guard. He passes over his back and hooks his own leg in a position abandoned by the 10th Planet system known as London. He makes sure Sean's arm is trapped in the triangle position as he wrenches back on his leg, using his elbow as the third point of the triangle while his thigh and hip act as points one and two. A move invented by JJ Machado. Logan's finishing Machado Clutch is cinched in to perfection in the middle of the ring.
