All right.
I have a few things that board members, moderators and administrators alike should discuss together since we are running into more activity problems. This may be the best way to get some things done.
Skinng & Graphics
As you may all know this forum's skin has changed recently. Some like it and some do not. If you wish to see something else covering these boards, search for or create your own skin and link us to it's code. It just may finds its way onto PRW.
Suggestions are welcome from all.
Championship Consolidation & Rankings
For the amount of members that remain active on these boards we have far too many titles. It is my belief that certain championships should be retired, unified or replaced.
Perhaps the Women's Championship could be retired as female characters may hold any other championships in PRW. There is little activity in the brackets for the Women's title and very little interest in it as a whole. As for the other titles, unification between the Euro/NA, Euro/X or Cyanide/X might yield some interest and make things a bit more competitive among members.
At the moment rankings are suspended for the JoO tournament. Before reinstating them, why not wipe them and cut the number of spots. The end result would be fewer members clogging up the rankings and more competition.
Suggestions for new championship names and concepts are welcome. Not to mention your thoughts on the championship situation. We need to brainstorm.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

THIS THREAD TITLE LEAVES ME SORELY DISAPPOINTED
Since we've all thought for many months that we were in need of some championship re-working, but none of us were concerned enough to solve this problem, now is the time for an immediate, drastic change to the system as we know it. Here is the process I think we should set out for.
STEP 1: Axe the Women's Championship, and declare Sherri Taylor the last reigning Women's Champion of PRW. Should a special storyline call for it, she can indeed defend this title at her discretion, though it is not an official PRW Championship as of the implementation of this plan.
STEP 2: Axe the Tag Team Championship. Even at our best times, there was only a waning interest in the belt at best. The golden era is long over.
STEP 3: Merge the X-Division and European Championships into the new X-Division Championship. This is especially easy, since both belts are currently held by the same person.
STEP 4: Since the JoO tournament is being scrapped, at least for now, the main event of the next Pay Per View is up for grabs. In that case, it would be the perfect time to merge the North American Championship and Undisputed Championship of Internet Wrestling. The winner of this merger match will be the new, and first in a very long time, PRW Net Champion.
STEP 5: This leaves us with a huge void as far as championships go. To confront this issue, the Cyanide Championship will have its 24/7 defense clause revoked, and will be changed into a full-fledged PRW Championship, leaving the fed with a healthy three championships, instead of five singles championships, a tag team championship and the erroneous Cyanide championship.
Now, we are left with the trouble of generating contendership rankings for these championships. This is where my plan continues to ensure a new sense of competitive spirit and accesibility for PRW, moving forward.
STEP 6: All championships will immediately have their contendership rankings wiped and nullified (though this has essentially been done, anyway).
STEP 7: All championships, excluding the Undisputed Championship and PRW Net Championship, are now immediately up for grabs. Any member of PRW may challenge for any active championship for a period of up to two months. During this period, no champion can dismiss a challenge to his title. This is how the new contendership rankings will be developed: After every challenge and ensuing match, the winner of the match will receive the championship, whereas the loser will be placed at the top of the contendership rankings. The loser cannot immediately challenge the champion until at least one other match has occured for the belt. As well, no characters may be present on multiple contendership rankings. Finally, in the event of a champion's non-showing, the five-day-rule normally applied to contenders will apply to the champion themselves.
STEP 8: At the end of this period, the top 3-5 workers on the contendership list will be the new contendership ranking. I personally advocate having only three, but if demand calls for it I believe 4-5 is still reasonable. However, the Cyanide Championship will continue on the path set in STEP 7: As the perennial everyman's championship, the Cyanide will not have a contendership ranking; this seems to basically be the same 24/7 format as before, to some, but is significantly different in that a match must always be had for it, as opposed to a paragraph long backstage attack, followed by a pin.
To be clear in the face of that digression, this is the result of STEP 8 in short: The new X-Division Championship will have 3-5 top contenders in the ranking, which works the same as the previous PRW Ranking system. The updated Cyanide Championship will have no contendership ranking, and will always be up for grabs, but it will NOT be considered "24/7" as it has usually been.
This leaves the new Net Championship to be considered.
STEP 9: A contendership ranking must be generated for the new Net Championship. There will only be three available slots, which in all honestly is much more realistic in the scope of a wrestling company. How these three top contenders will be determined allows for one of two possibilities:
a) Administrator's Vote: Amongst themselves, those who run PRW will personally decide who is most deserving, based upon talent and activity, to occupy these honoured positions.
b) Member's Vote: All PRW members will be able to send the names of TWO competitors, neither of which being controlled by the voter themself, who they believe are most deserving of these positions to an administrator (identity currently ambiguous) in a secret ballot. The three receiving the most votes will, in order of quantity of votes, be placed in the new contendership ranking.
STEP 9-2: I personally support the implementation of part b) of STEP 9, and it is likely what will occur, with part a) being utilized in the event of part b)'s failure. After STEP 9 is implemented, my plan will have passed in its entirely, and if successful should to some extent help reinvigorate competition in PRW.

I'm an elitist, pompous, arrogant, twat that acts like such a tough guy on message boards because I'm a giant pussy in real life. Truth is, I'm a huge fag and the fact that I wrote a long post comes from my deep-seeded desire to to shove as many cocks into any oriface I have.
I'm an asshole and nobody likes me, so I cry myself to sleep at night because strangers on a message board don't get my depth of character, so rather than improve my attitude, I just pretend to be House and act like I don't care.
I still wet the bed and my parents love me but I ignore them so I can seem tortured soul and feign misery so people will be sympathetic when in fact I'm just a miserable douche. [/center]

The Cyanide belt SHOULD NOT become a normal belt. I love that belt and it's 24/7 rules were at one point the only thing that kept this place alive. By taking it away and adding contenders would be probably the worst descision by an admin that I have ever seen. That was not a jab at whoever thought it up it's just my thoughts.
When the cyanide is being passed around the Rpers are having the time of their lives posting, at least in my experience. I know that I was Double Champ and had Mask running around the bottom I was having more fun as Mask for the Cyanide then feeling a major obligation to post for two matches and be afraid of losing them.
I dont really have much problem with the rest. Just if you want another contendership title then just leave one of the others.

I agree with IQ. The Cyanide belt's primary appeal is that it's so easily maintainable. To take that away would take away most of the interest in the belt.
I do like HMH's idea with the Women's championship, though. Perhaps it could become a sub-title for now? That might even spark interest in the rest of them.
I'm not so sure I agree with axing the whole tag division though. We do have a few tag teams left, and I think that taking their primary cause to team would cripple any initiative certain duos have to work together. I'm thinking it would be a better idea to just chop the list down to three contenders.
The Undisputed Championship is fine the way it is. I think, however, to increase activity, a rule should be set in place where you have to have wrestled a certain amount of matches in the last, say, two months, in order to be a contender. You fall under the limit, you lose your spot and have to start all over. We could even make it something easy, like four, just to keep the contenders active. We could take the next two months to put it into place, and then start enforcing it.
As far as title unifications are concerned, I'd much rather see the Euro and North American championships combined. I actually like the idea Godfather mentioned in the staff room about a "Transcontinental" Championship. I'd be more than happy to make the belt for it. That would leave the X to be the undercard championship the Euro had been.
I'm thinking, though, that the problem doesn't lie in the number of titles, but rather the number of contenders. Too many people get involved with a division just to be on the list, and then never do anything with their contendership. I think a limit on the number of titles you can go for at one time should be implemented. If anything, it will add variety to the divisions, rather than the same five people rotating which championship they get a title shot for every month.

I third the vote against making the Cyanide title a standard Championship. If it became one, it would take away the whole point of it being a hardcore title in my opinion.
As far as the tag division goes, it doesn't really seem to have that much attention given to it, but there are a few competitors; so I'm neutral on the subject.
Axe the Women's title. Unless Heidi becomes incredibly active and has a long drawn out title fued between Misa, Jen, and Sherri (which I just don't see happening, nothing against Heidi, just don't); there's not much of a point left in having the title.
Combining the Euro and North American Championships... I feel it's better than the Euro and X Division titles, although I don't like the "Transcontinental" name for the title; it's just to much of a mouthful. Unfortunately, the only name that comes to mind is lame, in thus calling it the PRW World Heavyweight Championship... See my point.
One question I have though, is how are these changes going to affect the matches in place at Summerfest as far as number one contenders go?

The way I look at it: a) Keep the Cyanide title. Whenever you see activity start to increase you see the Cyanide title swap hands numerous times in a twelve hour period. Combine it with the X and call it the X-Core title or something of the sort. It lowers the amount of belts but keeps the extremeness of the X but the hardcore-ness of the Cyanide. No contender rankings just 24/7
b) Keep the Undisputed as is. But make the contender rankings with only 5 people at total.
c) Combine the Euro and NA into a unified title. Perhaps the “Allied Title” or the “Atlantic Heavyweight Title” to be fought for in a fatal four way to inaugurate the belt. The match would feature the NA champ, the Euro Champ and the number one contenders in their respective division. The max contenders for the belt should be 3.
d) Keep the tag division going. Some guys aren’t cut out, nor want to fight in the singles match uppercard. Let their be tag teams. As a guy who has controlled at least one half of five championship teams, I know how great the Tag Titles are. 2 teams should be in the contender listings to keep it all going.
e) Scrap the Women’s title, keep it as a sub title like “World Strongest Man” of “King of the Cage”.
f) All wrestlers should attempt to fight in a single division (excluding tag) in order to keep the contender rankings smooth and flowing.
g) I really have no idea how the original contenders should be done up, but that’s a whole nother story. Right now it’s consolidation.
So to summarize: Undisputed Championship: 5 Contenders Euro+NA=Atlantic Heavyweight?: 3 Contenders X+Cyanide=X-Core?: No Contenders Tag Team: 2 Contenders

I'm glad to see the amount of attention this thread has garnered. Perhaps in the future more discussions involving the entire federation should be used. It helps everyone feel like they have a stake in this place.
Championships
I will keep with what the majority is saying and vote for keeping the Cyanide title as is. It is a good distraction when we hit our lull periods.
In regards to the Undisputed Championship, admittedly I liked the idea to bring back the PRW Net Championship. Nostalgia played a big role in that. Whichever way it goes is fine with me, however.
It seems logical to combine the NA and Euro championships due to their similarities in continental relations. Why not include the X-Division in that unification as well? I'd very much like to see that with a new championship formed in the unification's wake. "Transcontinental" was actually and idea from Lion, but I don't particularly like the name. I was thinking Purebred or Genesis for title names.
Keep the tag titles if you all so wish, but with limited contender spots. Perhaps only two.
Do away with the Women's title as an actual championship. At the next PPV we should hold a battle royal end game for the belt and apply the moniker to the winner of that bout.
Rankings
I say limit all contender rankings to three spots and three spots onlyfor singles titles with the same rules in effect. Three spots is competitive and would force everyone in line to fight in order to keep their spot.
In the case of the Undisputed, I think administrators should consider placing people on the contenders list through a merit system. It would force we governors to pay attention to what is going on in the fed. Push the talent that shows the most drive, you know?

I personally liked the PRW Net Championship better, it gave it the more exclusive to PRW feeling.
I would say do away with the womens title, unless some of the dedicated Womens roleplayers in PRW go to roughkut and attempt tp recruit new women(characters)
I say merge the NA and euro titles, and bring the cruiser weight title back. Leave the cruiser amd X seperate this time
Eliminated the 24/7 cyanide rule, I think in would make it less of a slut belt.

- Transcontinental is a hot name. I love it. But, it hould be the X & Euro titles combined and not the N/A. I feel the N/A have more importance and should stay as a upper mid card belt and the transcontinantal can be the lower card. We could make it fun and keep both belts but, present them as one...
- There should always be a Tag Title. Even though there aren't many contenders, you don't wanna discourage those who wants to make a team or a stable for that matter..
- The North American Champions is fine as is. Just get some new contenders. I think the voting should come in here and not for the Undisputed. Vote in 4 men and let them have a Fatal 4 Way elimination. Lets make it fun and each elimination means a contendership spot. The winner becomes #1 contender. The first person pinned gets nothing.
- Womens Championship should be cut. There aren't any women to contend so let Sherri do what she pleases.
- Undisputed championship should be given something fun. Lets get 8 guys together who are active and lets do a roulette type of deal. Random matchups picked by the admins from a box just before they post the ppv. Then random stips also chosen from a box. This way no one know their stip and its totally competitive.
Example: On a 8 match card. Match 2, 4, 6, and 7 can be contendership matches. Match 2 for #4 contendership, Match 4 for #3 Contendership and so forth. Then the admins choose the names from the hat. Its the luck of the draw and its different. Then from there the stips and we battle then your Undisputed list is made. If someone dosen't show, their spot can be filled by the next deserving person.
