|Dusk is beginning to settle in on the city of Irving, Texas after a day of warm temperatures mixed with falling rain. As the clouds were sparse, however, it would seem nature diverted the precipitation from Texas Stadium this day. Good news that is for Professional RPG Wrestling fans gathered within the venue to witness Summerfest 2007; and how appropriate as it is just in time to kick off its namesake season. The fake turf has been rolled up for the event and replaced with row upon row of folding chairs in order to fit as many wrestling fanatics as possible; and amidst the masses of spectators lies the squared circle. Above it, the partial roof reveals a darkening partly-cloudy sky that rumbles with far away bursts of thunder.
As camera fixtures pan about the stadium following the PRW Women's Championship triple threat match, Bob Saget takes center ring equipped with his microphone and note cards. He begins to speak about the upcoming match.|
Bob Saget: Ladies and Gentlemen! The following contest is part of the Masters of the Mat tournament!
|A decent bit of cheering ensues this first announcement. As expected, the tournament has created mounds of excitement for the company.|
Bob Saget: It is scheduled for one fall and will placed under Singles Rules! PRW standard do no apply! Count-outs and disqualifications are in effect!
|The previously ecstatic cheers are quickly peppered with boos from many members of the audience.|
Bob Saget: The presiding referee tonight with PRW official Alber Cunningham. The winner of this bout will advance to the Final Round of the tournament! The loser will receive a spot in the bronze round!
|Three tolls of the bells ring out. Cunningham assumes his place in the ring and awaits the competitors.|
Brunswick: And here it is, the match-up to decide one competitor in the final match of the Masters of the Mat Tournament! What a pleasure it has been so far to see the best of PRW giving it their all for this test of in ring prowess and endurance.
Smith: Yes, but you have to mention some of the disappointments we've seen along the way as well. A few, much anticipated matches went by the wayside that really altered the look of the brackets. I mean, both participants in this match each got a win on default as their opponents did not show up.
Brunswick: Right you are. After Vinchenzo Savonorola won a hard fought contest with The Inquisitor at last month's pay-per view event, Bitchslap, he went on to face a fellow Axis member in Steel Wall. However, Wall ended up removing himself from the tournament allowing The Godfather to advance.
Smith: I still smell coercion in what went down in that match. I wouldn't doubt of that old geezer, Savonorola, used his influence to have Axis members force Wall out of the tournament.
Brunswick: That is a bit of a conspiracy theory, there. But, nonetheless, valid. It isn't above The Godfather to use tactics such as that to gain favor. Aside from him, however, we have Xclusiv. His first match was a default win when Phoenix no-showed at Bitchslap. After that, Xclusiv gained somewhat of an upset win over Chairman Caje. That win brought him here today.
Smith: You say "somewhat of an upset". Why?
Brunswick: Well, Doug, while Xclusiv's win over Caje did surprise me a little it was not much of a shock. Over the course of the last few months, X has been making quite the name for himself with solid wins and excellent presence within the locker room. People are starting to take notice of him. A win here tonight would surely solidify his place a top contender in PRW.
Smith: Then I'm taking Xclusiv for the win. Someone needs to hand it to that crook.
|Cutting into the commentators' conversation is a loud roar of excitement from the fans as the main flood lights cut out, as do the entrance stage lights. Hoots and hollers pierce the darkness along with intermittent camera flashes. Above all of that noise a roll of thunder shakes the walls of Texas Stadium. As if planned up starts the grandiose sounds of "The Godfather Waltz" by Nino Rota. Hatred boils up and comes to fruition in the mass boos from the crowd, though some calls of adulation can be heard. Red and green spotlights spark on and draw lines about the heads of the masses gathered to watch the event. A lone spotlight of white turns on and focuses its glare upon the entryway where there stands a man clad in vivid red.
Close-ups on the figure reveals "The Godfather" Vinchenzo Savonorola resplendent in some updated attire. A double-breasted suit of red silk, it would seems, adorns his body. Black buttons hold his coat closed over a deep black shirt and tie of the suit's color. Below his matching slacks cascade over the tongue and laces of his black leather shoes. To top it all off, a fedora of the same crimson theme trimmed around its base with black silk rests upon a head of black and silver hair. In his mouth, smoldering away is a thick cigar of wonderful scent. A slight cherry smell spreads from it. As he walks down the ramp, a trail of curling smoke is left in his wake. Bob Saget introduces him.|
Bob Saget: Introducing first! From East Egg, New York! Weighing in at 237 pounds!
|As The Godfather rounds the corner made by the barricades to reach the ring steps, he gives a passing glance to the camera following clos by. Out of the side of his mouth he puffs a cloud of white smoke into the lens, turns and ascends the steps.|
Bob Saget: Former European Champion! Don of PRW! Hall of Fame Inductee!
|Godfather walks along the ring apron, on hand on the rop rope the other removing the cigar from him mouth to tap ash off. His head is held as he scans about the audience seeing all that is to be beheld. Every so often, crumpled up pieces of garbage fly and hit him, to which he simply brushes his suit. Vinchenzo bends down, cigar back in place and hand upon his hat, and enters the ring one leg at a time.|
Bob Saget: The One Man Italian Battalion! "THE GODFATHER" VINCHENZO SAVONOROLA!
|Without giving much heed to his name being called, nor the heckles from the adoring public, Savonorola walks about the ring briefly with his hands upon the lapels of his jacket. Another rumble of thunder, though very faint, rolls and cues the fading of his theme music. Godfather reaches over the top rope and hands an attendant his cigar to be put out and then focuses his attention on Saget and the microphone he has. Vinchenzo holds out his hand for it, staring right into the eye of the ring announcer. With a flick of his finger rips, as if telling him to hand it over, Saget relinquishes the device to Vinchenzo. He takes a backseat and begins to chat with Cunningham in the corner. The raspy-voiced, swarthy-skinned Don speaks before the boisterous masses.|
The Godfather: Everyone here this evening stands poised to witness the full force of the power that The Axis wields. In the Winter, we lay dormant. In the Spring our strength grew. And now, in the Summer months our gathering control over this company will stand against the season's heat. While opposition mounts and our enemies become more resentful of our position, so looms a war. Through many of these struggles have I, in my own personal affairs, fought through; and in looking at the wealth of ability and knowledge the ranks of The Axis holds we are assured the eventual victory.
|Throughout the first part of his speech The Godfather has used his free left hand to point into the crowd. The index finger extended accentuates each forceful syllable uttered to give its meaning some importance. All around the ring, he waltzes to his own inner flow and continues to string about eloquent words foreshadowing what is to become of the Axis/NwO conflict.|
The Godfather: "Eventual" is my word of choice for this reason. Wars are long drawn out conflicts built upon battle after battle. Confrontation upon confrontation. It is nearly impossible for any nation, or any gang, or any political figure to make it through any war without a few lost battles. Unheard of it is to leave with no lasting scars. So, do not take my choice of words as bits of doubt, but rather, logic. Tacticians are we that form The Axis. We are of strong, able bodies and intelligent minds capable of enduring the scorching, vengeful heat of our foes. After the burns have healed on the former pyre of resistance will stand the current order. The soles of our feet will have stamped out the once flaming coals. The Fall of the conflict will come and leads us not into a new uncertain era, but one of solid foundations ready to arrive full circle in the frigid new Winter.
|Godfather puts his hand down to his side and take center ring, facing the entrance stage. With his left hand in his pocket, stone jaw set and silver eyes glistening as they stare off into the stands he continues.|
The Godfather: Heavy Metal Hero comes with Chaos the Clown at his side like two unsightly prophets of the Bible. They proclaim change, the downfall of The Axis and a New World Order in the current establishment's place. But, what they fail to realize is that such things have already occurred. Far before this NwO came about I, myself called "Novus Ordo Seclorum". While many may attach that phrase to the defunct business relationship with Gunnar Wuher I once had, it was not meant to be an idea shared between us. I knew what was to come and who to align myself with when the proper time came. You see, when I called out for a new order with the backing of my current associates it was not a spewing of words not to be heeded. What followed was the establishment of The Axis.
And now, tonight you all shall witness sweeping victories for the members of our organization. Nothing to the detriment of Xclusiv, who I am set to face, but this match is out of his hands. Then, later this night I will triumph again by bringing new gold to my brotherhood when that pimp-turned-heathen finds himself decimated by a janitor's mop wielded by my hand. And, our most triumphant victory will be Lion Merteuil ascending to the top of PRW and taking what is rightfully his from the greed-scarred hands of Art McLellan. Remember, facta non verba, only my words are things that shall come to pass.
|At that, The Godfather lowers his mic, turns about and tosses it to Bob Saget with a thud. The announcer fumbles and chases into the middle of the ring while Vinchenzo begins to dress down in his own corner. Cunningham frisks him for any foreign objects before Xclusiv makes his appearance.|

Smith: I think I wanna change my pick for the win.
Brunswick: Now you don't wanna chose Xclusiv for the win. What;s your deal.
Smith: Well I know that Xclusiv has been rising to the occasion as of late but, listening to the Godfather a few moments ago made a change inside of me. I think that Godfather has.....
The lights fade to black in the PRW Arena! Everybody standing in the stands turn their attention to the PRW Summerfest entrance set.
Smith: Damn It....Why is it everytime i begin to speak, he cuts me off with his entrance?
Xclusiv/Sherri Taylor blares across the TitanTron!
Saget: And his opponent, from Baltimore Maryland. He weighs in tonight at 228 pounds.
ME IN NOT by Nine Inch Nails begins to play!
The crowd boo's as PRW's self proclaimed first couple gets set to appear.
Saget: He calls himself Mr. PRW. Accompanied by his manager & girlfriend Sherri Taylor. He is Adam Xclusiv!!!
Xclusiv and Sherri appear through the thick cloud of smoke! X & Sherri make a long pause at the top of the ramp to give Godfather a long cold stare. X grins a bit as he walks Sherri down the ramp. They argue with fans on the way down to teh ring. When at the ring X walks around the left and Sherri walks around the right.
Godfather keeps his eye on both sides.
Smith: He is such an ass. Brunswick: Calm down Smith. You'll get your wish soon enough when X gets his ass kicked by The Godfather.
X meets Sherri at the announcers booth. She gives him and microphone.
X: Well if that wasn't the most boring 5 minutes of my entire career. I don't know if anybody has told you this before but, if im the first than so be it. You talk to damn much Godfather. No wonder you beat your opponents the way you do. But, this is different. Cause, while you talk small talk on your mic, i take piss breaks. That's all your speeches mean to me anyway. A nice long piss break.
Smith: You know X talks alot when no one's around. But, im starting to think it dosen't matter if someones there or not. He has balls talking to Godfather like that.
Brunwick: He better quit while he's ahead. X can back himself up and thats for sure. But, I don't think he has then edge over Godfather. I was hoping he would do less talking this time around.
X: I hear you out here talking about The Axis and what you guys are all about. Then you speak about The NwO. The New World Odor. Let me ask you one question? What the hell does this have to do with my our match. Not a damn thing. I don't give a damn about your Axis, The NwO or any of the members in these factions. One this matters here and that me dropping your shoulders to my PRW mat. This match is out of my hands..haha(giggle) your clearly mistaken. Im ready to step up my game and im coming at you hard!
X: I came out here the other night and i spoke about not seeing your matches and things like that. Well I lied!
Crowd: Get in the ring! Get in the ring!
X: I' ve seen many of your matches. And you do okay. Im not saying your the best cause clearly there's no one better than your truly, but your ok. Now lets get on with this thing.................before we do though..let me wish you good luck. Your gonna need it. Ring the Bell!
(X gets into the ring. He keeps his distance from Godfather. The ref signals for the bell and this match has officaily begun!)

|Sneering at Xclusiv, The Godfather wipes the sweat of his brow with both hands and flings it at him uttering distasteful words.|
The Godfather: I'm not the best you sniveling twit? Your skill in the ring doesn't even amount to the worth of my sweat! Try me, everyone who does fails.
|Xclusiv, egged on by fans within earshot of what The Godfather says, creeps up warily to The Godfather. Vinchenzo Savonrola squares up, as if to box, and steps forward. Xclusiv hops away. Vinchenzo signals for his opponent to "Come on", to which X lunges for a collar-and-elbow tie-up. To no avail as Godfather sidesteps it and brings up a knee into the gut of X, who keels over. From there, the Don straightens him up and delivers a sharp jab to the jaw. Xclusiv reels back, hand upon his chin. Hearing the smack echo in the concrete stadium, people cringe at as to what that felt like. Godfather tries to follow up by advancing on Adam, but is forced back when X bends through the ropes. Referee Cunningham pushes Savonorla back to allow the younger wrestler an opportunity to get back into the ring fully.|
Brunswick: It would seem that the excess arrogance of Xclusiv has angered the Don to some extent. We usually see a more tactful Vinchenzo. But, now he seems quite aggressive and ready to brawl.
|Having brought himself away from the temporary safety of the ropes, "The Xclusiv One' walks along the perimeter of the ring, looking down to Sherri for some consolation. She gives it in the form of a blown kiss, though X hardly seems to notice since he is having to keep an eye upon the Siciliano. Godfather watches his prey anxiously from the other side of the ring planning his next attack. Yet, it seems he finds something a bit more malicious than any maneuver made thus far. Sporting a curled grin, Vinchenzo speaks again.|
The Godfather: Hey, sciocco! You should really keep your little broad over there from working the strip joints. Makes her look like street trash.
|Red, hot blood roils in the face of Xclusiv. It seems anticipation for this match has made him hypersensitive, especially about Sherri Taylor. So, without much thought of plan, Xclusiv charges the Italian with his hands clasped in an axe-handle fashion over his head. The Godfather steps forward, blocks the strike and manipulates his foe's arms into an overhead keylock. In pain, X falls backwards and down onto the mat. Vinchenzo holds onto the lock, applying more and more pressure to make X writhe.|
The Godfather: Of course, without you she'd be, more or a less, a diamond in the rough. You see, it really isn't her that is the trash. It's you.
|Savonorla's words infuriate Xclusiv even more. Not out of insult to Sherri, but over his own personal pride. Adam maneuvers his legs under the ropes for a break. Godfather relinquishes it. He stands, but is met quickly with the enraged Xclusiv who rakes at the face of his fellow combatant. The Don paws at his eyes, now tearing from the scratches to the cheering of thousands of fans.|
Smith: That's what the fans want to see! Two dirt bags fighting dirty.
|Showing much animal-like rage, X viciously kicks at The Godfather's left knee that drops the man down to both. Vinchenzo is sill trying to regain sight while his aggressor bounds off the cables before him and dives feet first into the face of his opponent. Sherrie shrieks and claps with joy for the successful offensive maneuver from her man. X gets up, smooths back his hair and poses for the crowd with the Don at his feet. Vehement boos mixed with calls for more fighting distorts the hearing of the men in the ring. The fight continues.|

X grabs Vinchenzo by the head, he lifts him onto his 2 feet. X twists around Godfather's arm and flips him onto his side. From there he wrenches the arm as he locks onto Vinchenzo's left leg.
Smith: Wow, thats the new move Sherri was mentioning earlier. X calls this submission hold " D.O.X".
Brusnwick: Its a very unusual hold Smith. He looked sily going into it but, it seems to be very effective.
X cranks on the pressure as he stretches the mid section of Godfathers body as hard as he can. Godfathers not the one to yell in pain but, its excruciating. The ref keeps his eye on bith competitors. It seems as though Godfather won't give in and this fustrates the young rebel. X lets up and he shakes his head with a smart grin in his face. He kicks Godfather in the head before attempting to lift him.
During the lift Godfather pokes X in the eye. He whips X into the ropes and lands a high hip toss. X rolls onto the arpon. Godfather grabs X by the head before he can scamper. He lifts X with a standing vertical. He stalls as the fans cheer him on. As Vinchenzo stalls, X's feet start to fall apart. The blood is rushing to his head and Godfather drops. X hits the mat so hard, he sits up on his ass. Adam's eyes are rolled back in his head and he falls onto his back. Godfather for the pin. 1................................2no!
Smith: That was one hell of a suplex.
Brunswick: Both of these guys are fighting dirty. Its gonna be a matter of who can out do who.
Sherri yells at Godfather as he lets off of X. He looks over at her for a sec but, dosen't lose focus. She throws a fit outside. She wanted to get X some time to recover. Godfather lifts X up. X is whipped into the ropes hard. At full speed, Godfather extends his arm for a clothesline. X ducks under and pulls the other arm of Godfather. X whips his opponent almost immediately. As his opponent returns X leap frogs his opponents. Godfather stops and he spins around. X thinks he outdone the vet but, Godfather had him scouted. X turns around to find Godfather fist in his face.
X falls flat out in the middle of the ring. Vinchenzo grabs the head of X and applies a headlock. X looks up into Godfathers eyes and scurries out of the hold. He slides to the outside of the ring. Godfather begins to follow but, he changes his plan of attack. X grabs one of his opponents feet and he pulls. Godfather takes his free foot and he stomps the hands of Xclusiv. X lets out a yell and he gets pissed. X rushes into the ring and he steps into Godfathers face. He slaps he hell out of his opponent to the crowds disbeleif.
Smith: Oh My God, he just slapped The Godfather! He better get his ass out of dodge.
Brusnwick: X has balls. But, I dont know if that was smart.
Godfather twists back for a sec. X looks at Sherri and laughs. Then he throws his hands up in the air as if he has just won the world. Wihtin a split second, Godfather throws a right at X. X is aware and he ducks. He leaps into the air and catches Godfather in the face with a sweet dropkick (Xclusiv Style). Godfather is floored.
Smith: Xclusiv Style he likes to call that.
Brunwick: Get off the man crotch. Just a few seconds ago you were agaisnt. Just cause he gained a little offense, you wanna be his groupie.
Smith: Fine Brunny, i get your point.
Sherri loves what she seeing. Nobody expected X to come out like he has so far. But this is still just the beginning. The mach continues with X climbing onto the second rope.

Brunswick: Xclusiv looks like he is preparing to fly, folks. Up onto the second turnbuckle and now on the top. It is imperative this high-risk maneuver connects at this point in the match. Godfather is quite dazed after a disorienting drop kick from his opponent. Now, the much younger Xclusiv is poised to set the match in his favor.
|People have stood up in the crowds, leaving their seats in hopes to gain a better view of what is to come. Warily, X balances on the top rope looking down upon the sprawled Godfather. Below X, his manager and partner Sherri Taylor is filled with hope that her man may see victory here tonight. The two exchange quick looks of affirmation amid the chaos of the excited crowd. Fans stand poised with the cameras; ready to snap pictures of a human body flying through the air. Xclusiv squats suddenly, arms tucked and then leaps forth over the ring canvas and towards his destination. Bulbs flash, popcorn flies as the slender body soars high above the churning mass of humanity and crashes down upon a helpless figure. With a well-executed elbow drop from the top, Adam Xclusiv is overcome with joy at his success. A broad grin crosses his face. He looks towards Sherri who is equally as gleeful.|
Smith: Finally! That has to have ruptured Godfather's gall bladder or something.
Brunswick: |Sarcastically| His gall bladder? Couldn't think of any other humorous quip.
Smith: Well, he's old is all. Old people always have problems with their gall bladders and whatnot. That and their hips. God knows there isn't much more I can say about Godfather's hips.
Brunswick: Yes, you are quite infatuated with Vinchenzo's hips. It is almost like a fetish for you to talk about them.
Smith: .....Cool it, Brunswick.
|X, after taking in what he just accomplished, finally decides to cover for a possible win. Albert Cunningham flops down onto the mat and begins the count. . .. ... ..... ...... ....... ........ ......... .......... ......... ........ ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. . ONE . .. ... ..... ...... ....... ........ ......... .......... ......... ........ ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. . TWO . .. ... ..... ...... ....... ........ ......... KICK OUT
The Don twitches out of the pinning predicament not long before the count of three. Slightly rolled onto his left side, back to Xclusiv, The Godfather is subject to angry blows full for frustration to his ribs as his foe pounds away. Eight or nine shots later, X stands up forcefully, aggravation seeping from his pores. He walks about the ring, chest heaving slightly, hands upon his hips. Shots of disdain towards the sky is what X delivers, as if somehow, it was a higher power's fault that Vinchenzo kicked out. During this expression of discontent, Don Savonorola is alloted the time to recover somewhat and make it to his knees. X turns around to find his opponent standing. Instinctively he pokes his foe right in the eye. Cunningham intervenes and begins to scold the younger wrestler for such tactics.|
Brunswick: You do not usually see this, folks. But, referee Albert Cunningham is actually reminding Xclusiv that there are rules in place for this match. Uncommon, as compared to the rest of PRW's matches, is the fact there are disqualifications in effect. Not to mention count-outs. Xclusiv will need to watch his step so as not to lose this match on a technicality.
Smith: Boy, can you hear the fans, too? They don't seem to like this whole "rules" idea. It just doesn't seem to be PRW-like.
Brunswick: Well, that may be. However, this tournament is like no other. The Masters of the Mat is in place to crown the best overall wrestler, not the best junkyard warrior.
|Cunningham, after finishing with X in the corner, is released to meet a waiting Vinchenzo Savonorola in the center of the ring. X approaches quickly and aggressively and is immediately slapped when in range of the Italian. From the blow, Adam turns about holding his face. Anger boils up in his face as he stands there bent over and humiliated with The Godfather smirking slightly behind him. In a hasty act, X whips around and tries to charge the one who tried to humble him. Rather, he is met with two clenched fists swung at his chest and neck area. An excellent polish hammer from the Don decks X and leaves Sherri, once again, screaming for her meal ticket to get up.|
Smith: Did you hear the smack of fists against skin? People in the back row winced at the sound of that shot.
|Satisfied with his comeback of sorts, Vinchenzo holds out his arms before the crowd. As can be expected, nothing but rants and crude remarks are given the Sicilian in return. No matter to him, though, as he merely grins arrogantly. Xclusiv lies near the ropes, laid on on his back, eyes closed. Ms. Taylor has rushed around to his side and is trying to get her man lucid. No response. Godfather overhears her yells and screeches and turns to his opponent. As he stalks over his prey, looking down upon Sherrie, she backs away slightly. The stone eyes of Savonorola peer at the manager as he leads a groggy X to his feet. Godfather positions his back towards the center of the ring and then delivers a toe kick to the gut of X. Bent double over, Xclusiv is open to Godfather's next offensive maneuver. The One Man Italian Battalion reaches his arms around the torso of his opponent, clasps his hands under the man's breadbasket and then proceeds to hoist hard, falling backward. X inverts and falls to mat beyond as a victim of a gut-wrench suplex. The executor of the move takes a moment to sit up, sweat streaming down the lines of his face. Once upright on his posterior, Vinchenzo the perspiration away from his eyes, the sting of salt trying to set in. After a heavy sigh, he stands, looms over the head of Xclusiv and drops a sharp fist. Now lying on his side, Godfather is in position to talk to X.|
The Godfather: Glory was within your reach this night.
|It is uncertain whether Xclusiv caught those words or not. After all, he may have been quite dizzy after a series of strong attacks. Vinchenzo stands, holds up his right palm with is curled over in claw fashion. After a few moments, he thrusts the palm down onto the face of Xclusiv and latches on. Thumb and pinky squeeze the temples, hot blood pulsing laboriously under the pressure. The palm presses up on the bridge of the nose and the rest of the rings wrench down as if trying to crush the frontal lobe. X writhes in much pain, his yells drowning out the sounds of Sherri's hollering. Using his left arm to the brace the squeezing-right at the wrist, Godfather applies yet more skull-crushing power to his hold, the Artiglio Italiano.|
Brunswick: There's that devastating claw hold we see from Savonorol every so often. This used to be his primary finishing maneuver. It may do the trick here tonight.

With the ref focused on the hold, Xclusiv takes the chance to plant a foot in the nether regions of Godfather's pants! The referee is oblivious as Godfather goes down, and the match continues!

Smith: How many chances will the ref give Xclusiv here. He keeps on breaking the damn rules.
Brusnwick: Well it would be a big let down to the fans if the ref lets this match do down in a dq. This match has potential and letting it end in pinfall of submission would be great.
Godfather doubles over and X takes his right foot into the shins of Godfather. He trips Godfather up, brining him down onto his knees. X crawls up onto his knee and he clubs Godfather in the back. His opponent returns the punch but, with much more force. X rolls backwards into the ropes. Adam pulls himself up with the ropes and he charges at Godfather. To no previal, X is sidestepped and tossed clean over the top rope. He sails into the barricade separating the fans from the pros.
X crawls around outside and he needs to regain his wind. He puts his hands up calling for a time out. He then walks into the rampway before returning and breaking the refs 10 count.
Godfather catches X on the apron. He takes X by the head and rams it into the turnbuckle. This is followed by a Vertical Suplex into the ring from the apron. X falls onto his feet and he runs into the ropes. Godfather hits the back elbow.....NO! X grabs the arm of Godfather, he links both arms for a back slide into a pin 1.................. 2......................... Nope...Godfather rolls out.
Smith: That was a good move.
Brusnwick: Yeah I liked that too
Both men are quick to their feet. Godfather strikes first with a hard clothesline on to the young Adam Xclusiv. Sherri is trying to keep her composure on the outside. She realizes that this is X's most important match to date. He has to put up his best fight. That means not only using his skill but his brains as well. Godfather falls to one knee for a quick breather. He follows up on X as he grabs the head of his opponent. Vinchenzo takes X's wrist into wristlock hold and he applies the pressure. To add insult to injury, Godfather lays X's arm on the mat and drives his knee into the wrist. X is shaken by the pain. He wiggles like a fish reaching lis right leg out onto the bottom rope. Godfather is forced to let go of the hold and X gets a few seconds.
Godfather keeps it going as he lifts X onto his feet. He whips X into the ropes. Godfather misses a knee lift and X hits the opposite rope. On the next exchange Godfather leaps frogs X and plans on doing the same for the next pass. X flies back toward Godfather and he leaps for the leap frog but, X stops himself. As Godfather hits the mat, X kicks him in the gut.
Crowd: Booooooooo
X shakes his head and he leaps onto Godfather's shoulder. He nails Hurricanrana on Godfather. The Don of PRW, rolls into the turnbuckle. He pulls himself up and he see's X charging toward him. The crowd is getting into the match and they see a very close finish coming in the future. Godfather blasts out of the corner almost taking X out of his boots with running knee lift. X gets up quickly though and Godfather nails a knife edge chop onto his chest. X falls back onto the mat and he attempts to scurry. Godfather grabs X by his trunks and he puls him back to the middle of the squared circle. X rolls over and kicks The Don in his knee cap. He then takes a page out of his opponents playbook using an ugly uppercut.
Smith: Whoa thats unusual from Xclusiv. A european uppercut?
Brunswick: If you wanna call that an uppercut. He just put shame to the move making it look terrible. Hope he never uses that again.
Sherri circles the ring. Meanwhile X gets up and he climbs to teh top rope. He waits for Godfather to get up. When he does, he leaps for another dropkick. Godfather moves and he sways X off. X falls onto his back flat. He just lays there, and dosen't move. Godfather tries to lift him but, he's dead weight.
Smith: He may be injured Brunny.
Brunwick: Yeah that fall was bad Smith. The ref will know what to do.
Godfather steps back for a sec while the ref checks on X. Godfather wants to continue but, the ref insists that he waits a sec. The ref checks on X's limp body and Godfather stands over him. He's yelling at the ref and Sherri'e yelling at him. Godfather grabs X by the head and the ref backs him off. The ref turns his back toward X and turns his attentions to Godfather. He telling Godfather to back off for a few secs. Meanwhile, X sits up. He's playing possum and he rolls over to Sherri. Sherri pulls a small pack of salt from the bra. She opens it and pours it into the hands of X.
Smith: She wears a bra?
Brusnwick: Could have fooled me!
Godfather is trying to tell the ref that X is up but, you know how refs are. Anyway X is on his knees and the ref has no idea of what just happened. The match continues and Godfather knows whats going on. Godfather kicks the salt out of X's hand but, it flees into the face of the ref. The ref falls onto the mat and he's blinded. X looks up at Godfather. He yells, " What the hell was that?"
Godfather pulls X up and hits an atomic drop, followed by a knife edge chop. X hits the mat again. Godfather goes for the pin but the ref is down. He helps the ref get himself back together and he goes for the pin. 1...2 No X kicks out.
The Godfather lifts X. X is whipped into the corner turnbuckle. Godfather smashes X with a forearm smash. He then whips X into the opposite corner. Godfather gets ful speed on this occasion but, X is aware. X rolls out of the corner and Godfather runs into the corner. He catches himself. Godfather double backs and X almost takes his head off with his spinning HELL kick! Godfather onto the mat.
Smith: Spinning Hell Kick. He hit it. I don't know if it'll put him away. But, its worth a try.
Brunswick: You know that was a great retaliation move.

|The electric atmosphere now surrounding this match has sent the crowd into a bit of a frenzy. They are likened to the Romans of the ancient empire calling for death within the Coliseum; an amalgamation of individual chants, gestures for the end of the match and outright pandemonium. To Vinchenzo, the sights and sounds of the stadium have become dull and blurred. After taking Xclusiv's last vicious spinning Hell kick, a quick flash seemed to envelop Godfather's vision just before he fell onto the mat. A concussion, perhaps, is now working to hamper the further efforts of the Don though his will may dictate otherwise. Despite his current ailments, he does everything possible to stand up and face his young aggressor. First to one knee, swaying slightly, then to his feet still hunched over. Vinchenzo places his hands upon two bent knees trying to focus the unstable vision that has come over him. Sweat beads upon the wrinkled, swarthy forehead and drips off to stain the mat. Texas heat coupled with bright lights and high humidity yields a thick, staggering environment to overcome for any athlete; the effects of such a climate evident in the faces of the two present competitors.
Adam's complexion is somewhat paled, deep bags of black under his eyes; possible signs of dehydration as evident by profuse bodily sweat. Xclusiv glistens in the flood lights cast upon the ring, his hair stringy and wet as if having just stepped out of the shower. Though he was able to execute the last offensive maneuver in the match, much was lost in the energy it took to pull off such a kick. He rises slowly to his feet. Eyes remaining focused upon the PRW Hall of Famer before him. After the pin failure, a bit frustration resurfaced in the demeanor of Xclusiv, as well as Sherri who is banging upon the ring apron trying to reinvigorate her man. Pain, however, is a bit more apparent through facial expressions exhibited by Adam.|
Brunswick: Judging by the look of both men, it would seem to me there is hardly an advantage left to either of them. Xclusiv has taken a tremendous amount of punishment from The Godfather, though he has outpaced his much older opponent. And seeing the slow process of regaining a vertical base between them both, there can't be much more these men can do.
Smith: It's cheesy, but you cannot underestimate human determination. With what is on the line here, I wouldn't doubt that either Xclusiv or Godfather takes it up another notch.
Brunswick: Agreed. Both are great competitors. However, there comes a point with any athlete pushing himself, such as these two are, encounters a plateau. Lactic acid builds up in the muscles and then works to, basically, disable the human body. Paralyze it, if you will. And I must say, conditions are right here in Irving to send anyone into that sort of paralytic shock.
|Godfather, after regaining some semblance of physical stability, suddenly stands up straight. Rigid and seemingly of stone; his eyes widen and stare forward with all the muscles in his body tensed. After a few moments he releases the flex and relaxes, he squares up as if ready to box. In front of him, Xclusiv stretches out and takes a ready shooting stance in case grappling comes into play. Though, fatigue is still evident in both wrestlers, they are ready for another go. The loud drone of the crowd beats harshly against the eardrums of all at ringside. Irving is alive tonight. As if prodded by an electric shock, Vinchenzo and Adam shoot forward towards each other, closing the gap only a few yards wide between them fast. Godfather throws a sharp, slightly sloppy, jab at his opponent. It catches Xclusiv right on the chin below his bottom lip. Still, he pushes through the shot and attempts to get Savonorola into a tie-up, thus taking away the striking offensive. The Don guards against in, refusing to allow a lock-up and then drives in a sharp right hook just under extended left arm. Lightning-like pain flares up for a moment in the chest of Xclusiv coupled with a loss of breath. Adam staggers back clutching the mark for Godfather's shot. This leaves him open to another attack from Savonorola; Godfather grabs his foe's head and plants a savage head butt on the bridge of the younger man's nose. Adam falls to the mat, now covering his face, tearing up a bit.|
Smith: Looks like wrestling is out for the remainder of this match. We're down to brute tactics now.
Brunswick: Not to mention the recent attempts by Sherri Taylor to help her man cheat his way to a victory. What with the salt and all.
Smith: Such is the advantage of having a manager at ringside.
|Speaking of Sherrie, she is now up on the ring apron causing a ruckus and distracting Albert Cunningham. The referee threatens her with banishment from ringside, but she persists her trouble making. Flailing her arms about and screeching as always, she draws the attention of The Godfather. He walks over, taking a passing glance at the downed X, and confronts her, hands upon his hips. She spits in his face, though most of it dribbles down her chin and then she reaches across and tries to slap him. Vinchenzo smirks quickly and then watches as Cunningham blows his top and chases Taylor onto the floor at ringside. He ejects her from the match, officially, but has trouble getting her to leave. Don Savonorola watches on, turning as the referee and manager circle about the ring to the entrance ramp arguing all the while. From behind, though, X jumps onto the back of his enemy with a quick double axe-handle. Godfather stumbles forward into the ropes, wincing in pain, and then receives yet another axe-handle smash. On the outside, Sherri is still causing a ruckus. She notices the happenings in the ring, gives a dastardly grin to Cunningham , points to the ring, he looks, and then she decks him. Cunningham falls to the floor out like a light. A collective "OH!" sounds from the spectators who then follow up with heavy boos.|
Smith: GOD! DAMN! Did you see that dainty little hand straight level Albert Cunningham!? And the pop you heard from that shot!
Brunswick: Now, we're back to PRW rules with the referee down! Just what the fans wanted!
|With a face full of satisfaction, Sherri grins and saunters over to the ring, stepping over the fallen referee. She, in a very elegant fashion, sits up on the apron, slides her legs up and stands. Under the second rope, she enters the ring and surveys what has become of her wrestler's match. Godfather, after having endured a stomping near the ropes has been drug into the middle of the ring and is now subject to repeated right hands to the head. Sherrie surveys the situation, leans down to the helpless Savonrola, sneers and slaps him. Xclusiv, with humored smiled, has his opponent's head resting on his knees; he proceeds with more shots to the head. Meanwhile, the minx that is Sherri Taylor walks over to one of the corners, digs in the second turnbuckle pad and removes a pair of Godfather's favored brass knuckles. She brandishes and shows off to the crowd. Xclusiv stands the Sicilian up and holds his arms back. The referee is still down.|
Brunswick: Now, this is just unfair. A match with instated restrictions has turned into a two-on-one affair topped of with the use of illegal weapons. Master of the Mat, Xclusiv is not in my eyes.
Smith: Quit whining. This is PRW. What did you expect? Besides, I'm getting what I want: The Godfather's demise.
|Sherri rears back and then pops Vinchenzo in the mouth. He falls back slightly, flexing his jaw in agony. However, the blow seems to have injured the woman's hand slightly as she shakes it about after the shot. Xclusiv, worried, releases the older man and goes to tend to his lady. Godfather falls to mat, flat, and then sits up. He drags himself to a corner and leans against the bottom turnbuckles as he watches Xclusiv assist Sherri in taking off the knucks. After they are removed and discarded, X turns around to find his fellow competitor in the corner and goes to lift him to his feet. Godfather is set up in the corner and then abruptly shoves Adam back. With this opening, the Italian Battalion rears back again deep and slams a solid right hand across the upper cheek of X. X's eyes flutter as he falls sideways onto the mat. Sherri looks on in horror and then rushes Godfather in anger, but she is met with a hand to the forehead that begins to squeeze like a vise.!
Brunswick: Artiglio Italiano for Sherri Taylor! Listen to the crowd Doug! They're out of control for this turn of events!
Smith: Oh, such a big man attacking a woman. Oh, and it seems Cunningham is coming to on the floor.
|Indeed the crowd is in an uproar seeing Sherri cry and squirm while suffering under the hold. She retreats back into the ring center, hand still locked on her head. Godfather makes a face as if he means to crush her skull. Taylor falls to her knees, putting up little struggle now. X gets up wearily, spots what is happening to Sherri and rushes Vinchenzo from behind. However, anticipation for this has kept Vinchenzo's peripheral vision on alert. Just as X is a few feet from him, Savonorola releases the hold and jams his right elbow backwards into the chest of X. Sherri falls back onto the mat and rolls out of the ring. X stumbles back and then lurches forward. Godfather bends down as if to perform a back body drop but holds onto the legs of Xclusiv. Inverted on Vinchenzo's back X watches as the mat rushes up into his head as The Godfather performs the Padrino Piledriver to a thunderous eruption of noise from the crowd. Noise, no cheers nor boos are distinguishable. Pure excitement envelops them.|
Brunswick: That's the match! It has to be!
|Adam Xclusiv crumples on the mat in gruesome heap. Godfather falls to his side, utterly whipped from the competition thus far. He rolls onto his back, now laying parallel to his foe, though his head rests at the feet of Xclusiv. Looking up into the hole that is so symbolic of Texas Stadium, Vinchenzo takes a look at the night sky starting to show signs of stars, holds his breath and turns over with all his might. A tire cover follows, with a weak hook of the leg. Cunningham slides in to count the fall.|
