Caje
IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!
*William Hung takes a seat after singing the national anthem. The announcers begin going over tonight's lineup when suddenly, Caje's entrance video dominates the screen. Caje makes his way out as his crimson lights flash in and out, switching places every second or so with near darkness. Caje strolls out onto the stage with Tyler Owens in tow, who is toting a Caje t-shirt and a steel bat. Without making his symbol, Caje merely looks around for a moment before walking down toward the ring. Along the way down, Caje sneers at the fans, who have entered an almost choral boo toward the PRW chairman. Caje hops up onto the apron and strolls along the side for a moment, using the top rope as a walking aid. Caje climbs through the ropes and walks over to the other side as Owens makes his way up the steps and enters the ring by propelling himself over the ropes. Caje is handed his trusty gold briefcase and pulls one of his microphones out as his music stops blaring.*

Caje: Tonight, my friends, is a good night.

*The crowd pops.*

Caje: But before you get cheery, it's not because we're in Japan. Hell, I practically had to ride here in a limo made of six foot thick lead just to convince myself it was okay to leave the safety of my hotel room.

*The crowd quickly changes their reaction back to a negative one. Caje smirks.*

Brunswick: Good God, Caje, I don't think they heard you back in the forties.

Caje: But no, tonight is a good night. Because Apocalypse two thousand seven marks the end of an era... or lack thereof. Shane Hunter is God knows where. Chaos is working solo in his title hunt. Jason Sensation is retiring tonight. Yeah, you all know why I'm having a good night. That means that as soon as Jason throws in the towel after the royal a**-kicking he's going to get from Anakin Anarchy tonight, NC-17 will be dead, and the so-called "power struggle" (Caje makes the quotations with his hands) will be over with. But on the negative side, I can't help but be sad. Tonight ends an actual era: The era when the Axis had anything even remotely resembling competition. Now, I don't want to gloat or anything, but the Axis, with the sons of course, is the greatest group that's ever existed. Ever. A lot of groups come in here whining about how they're going to take control of PRW. We actually did it.

Smith: That's right, they did.

Brunswick: By cheating!

Smith: Hey, Caje got a tip that Bucks wasn't dead and beat everyone else to the sale of a lifetime, not his fault.

Brunswick: There should have been an auction or something.

Caje: But back on Copy-CMC-17. There's a small glimmer of hope. One last stand for them. Tonight's tag team match. There's been speculation as to who's going to partner Jake Burkin in that match tonight, and like the great guy I am, I'm going to get you, the viewer that answer right now. So Burkin, get yer a** out here!

*Caje and Owens patiently wait on Jake Burkin, whose theme begins playing after a moment. He makes his way out to a huge pop. He strolls down to the ring, high fiving fans on the way down. Burkin climbs up the steps and makes his way through the ropes. Caje reaches down and grabs him a golden mic. Caje extends the microphone toward Burkin. Instead, Burkin swipes the one Caje had been using from his hand, which generates a positive reaction from the crowd. Caje shakes his head at Burkin and Burkin nods in return, both men smirking. Jake's music comes to a swift halt as he brings the microphone toward his mouth.*

Burkin: Caje, I need to ask one you one thing.

Caje: Oh really, and what's that?

Burkin: Do you come with a shut the hell up button, or does that cost extra?

*The crowd laughs as Caje's smirk disappears.*

Caje: I don't know, do you come with a talent button?

Burkin: OH GOD, you should get me some gauze to cover the wound I just got. OH MY FEELINGS ARE SO HURT.

Caje: I knew I'd have you up in stitches.

Burkin: More like severe drowsiness. You go on and on and on about NC-17 breaking up, and yet you forget one key pivital detail... it only took one of me to beat you a few months ago. You remember that, right? When I kicked your a** from one side of Hawaii to the other?

Caje: I recall that night ending differently.

Burkin: I'm sure you do. Doesn't change the fact that you tapped like a little girl.

Caje: More like tapped your mom like I was Nick Lane and she was a little girl.

Burkin: Oh, ha ha.

Caje: Wait, why are we doing this? You see what you make me do? While I was in a joke-off with a j*rk-off, I completely forgot about the mystery partner.

Burkin: You want to know my partner, fine. But you know what? Let me tell you something. Tonight, NC-17 ends, but my crusade against you and everything you stand for won't. I am still eating, breathing, sweating and bleeding your downfall, and this whole breakup thing is only going to be a minor setback. And oh yeah.. that's hot!

Caje: Nice, but that doesn't answer my question.

Burkin: I was getting to that. My partner is -

Caje: You know what? Just stop. Nobody cares.

*The crowd goes into a frenzy of boos.*

Caje: And do you know why? Because my own personal protoges, Graves and Ryan Stevens are in that match. And I have it on good authority.. mine.. that they're going to walk out of that match as the new PRW Tag Team Champions. But you know what? I didn't come out here to talk.

*Owens drills Burkin in the back with the bat. His arms stretch outward as far as they'll go, and he falls to his knees.*

Caje: ...I came out here to ensure that that happens.

*Caje and Owens begin relentlessly stomping Jake... will anyone come to his aid?*

*All of a sudden, a person in a back jacket, black button-up pants and a ski mask races through the audience with a chair in hand. He hops over the barricade and into the ring, Caje sees someone and tries to warn Owens but he's too late. The masked figure smacks Owens right in the small of the back.*

You wouldn't DARE hit me!!

*The masked figure however, begged to differ and took a full swing at Caje, but Caje wisely ducked and rolled out of the ring. The masked figure slams the Chair twice on the canvas before dropping it and helping Jake Burkin up. Jake does not know what to make of this as he was expecting no one to come...but then the man gave him a handshake which he is all too familiar with. Jake was in disbelief so he unsnapped the ski mask and removed it to reveal his assertion to be correct after all.*

OH MY GOD SMITH!! ITS JACK BURKIN!! JAKE'S BROTHER HAS COME BACK TO AID HIS BROTHER IN HIS QUEST FOR TAG TEAM GOLD!!

I am just as surprised as you are, Brunny! No one was expecting Burkin's younger sibling to come back.

*As they face away from the Tron, Caje tries to pull Owens out from the outside. Jack turns around and steps on Owen's elbow joint.*

You keep pulling, and I will break his arm!

*Caje, for the first time actually looks like he is mortified as Jack pulls Owens away toward the center of the ring. He lifts Owens to his feet and with the assistance of his brother, gives him an O-Burkin-Ator (Ninja). The older Burkin mouths something to his brother and he nods that he understands. Jake lifts Owens to his feet and starts what appears to be the Syracuse cutter, but then Jack catches him, Jake turns around and falls to the ground DDT-like, and Jack drops with him, nailing their new tag team finisher (The Burkin Buster). Caje is in absolute outrage that he did not prevent the Burkin ascention. BUT WAIT! Jack Burkin gets a mic!*

YOU!! *Pointing at Matt Caje.* YOU are the one who caused my injury! I will make you PAY for this insolence! Sure NC-17 might be dead after tonight, but the reign that is the Burkin Brothers begins! Oh but the Power Struggle is not yet over. BOSS. It has but JUST BEGUN!! And we will NOT stop until your tyrannical reign of terror is OVER!!

One thing you must remember, Caje! We are not the only one with this opinion! Sooner or later, we will all unite and SQUASH YOUR PRECIOUS AXIS OUT OF EXISTENCE!! AND IT BEGINS TONIGHT!! RIGHT HERE!! IN SAPPORO, JAPAN!!!

*Quite possibly already the loudest pop of the night as the Burkin Brothers throw Owens out of the ring. Caje gathers him quickly and they back up on the ramp cussing at the Burkins as they stand in the ring. The Burkins motion around their waist indicating that the belts will indeed be theirs by the end of the night. Then the Charleston Mob's music plays.*

I like to think I learn something from every thread I visit.  This thread has taught me that Paint can have an abortion.
