I got a pm earlier from a certain wrestler *cough* MIMIC! *cough*, and he proposed an interesting new system of money transaction. Here's the post in it's entirety;

OK, i just had a sweet ass idea, or at least i think so. Now you know my character in AWR was a hitman, so i getting money from people, i was thinking what good does money actually do? then BOOM, idea came......now bare with me cuz this could be a long post
First off.....you could give wrestlers pay based on their post title (i.e. rookie, midcarder, etc) (a salary if you will, say every month or week or whatever) different pay depending on higher titles and what not. You could also give bonuses to champions for winning belts, and for defending belts, the commish could get a bonus, things like that. Not rediculous amounts, but i'll get into that later
now you could be asking, what does this money actually do....now heres the RPG part of all this, have things people can buy...now ill get into good detail....say have more pyros people could buy, or a the car that they want, or if they want anything for their lockerooms, that will cost money also...you could even have it cost a ludacris amount of money, but people could buy another finisher slot, giving them three and things like that...clothing, etc, its all an option and the sky is the limit, its just up to you as the admin.
now youre probably asking, how does this help? Well you have good participation, but i think that this whole idea would be pretty cool....You could actually have those $10,000 briefcase matches and things like that and people will actually want to participate in them and win them. People will have an incentive to post more becuase they can get a higher salary, and can customize their person accordingly, then you could also have my coveted spot on the roster...a hitman that will actually mean something (now im sort of partial to that spot myself, so i could take that) have the other wrestlers pay him some of their actual money for a hit, depending on everything involved, the price will change and how badly someone wants it will change how much they are willing to pay....but thats just a side note. But i think you got the gist of this question....next.....
how would i pull off keeping track of who has what money?....simple, you could make a new section titled "salaries" or something along those lines, much like your registration part, where you have a thread for each wrestler, you could keep tabs on the salaries, on payday you could add to everyones, when someone spends money, they subtract it, when someone gains more money, they add to it, so it would not be hard at all....its just a matter of how the other wrestlers are willing to do this or not....well get back to me on this
mimic
Personally, I think it's an absolutely genious idea... what do you guys think?

Its a great idea the key is I dont think it should be by the title cause a rookie could be one of the best fedders in here and his salary be the least but that isnt that important I say we should wait till after christmas to impliment this rule cause I got a little storyline idea for it christmas time that is

Personally, I really don't see any point in this "money" idea. Some people characters rely on them being able to decide their own salary right off the bat. Anyway, that's my two cents.

I think it is a great I dea but poeple who already have everything shoiuld be able to keep it instead of going back to basics. The Rookie thing is pretty bad because lets say Wraith, He is technically still a rookie and is beating Caje in Cage matches. But I still think its pretty cool

QFT! Plus, doing it by Mboard title just means that people would start spamming up the OOC boards to get their post count higher.
I also agree with Spardis, think about a Mr. Bucks/million dollar man, etc etc. player character... He's screwed from the start.

Spardy and Wraith do have a point. Continue discussion. What do the rest of you think about it?
And no Crys, we're not using real money.

thats not fully true, admins have the power to delete posts, which takes away that count, so if they saw it necessary to do so, they could

I've gotta side with Wraith on this one, the OOC posts would kill it.
EDIT>> Mimic posted same time...i dont think deleting posts would be good, as some of the OOC stuff keeps us entertained when we need to be, and we ask for advice and things also. This isnt just an arena, this is a forum, OOC and IC alike.
