Narrator: It all starts with a kid...

The scene fades in on a picture of a small kid in a ring. The kid who will be known eventually as John Bane is in the ring with his dad and grandfather. He can't be anymore than 5 or 6 years old. If a picture could tell a thousand words this would tell a story long enough to fill 100 books. Wrestling is in the blood of John Bane. His grandfather was not really a superstar of any sorts in the 40s and 50s. This was known as the golden age of wrestling and it was just that. His grandfather, James Bane, also known as The Puppeter, was nothing more than a jobber for the big talent. But what he had was the respect of the locker room. John Bane's dad, James Bane Jr. was a great talent in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. He would train everyone who came into Baltimore and would always be asked to come "North" but always refused the invitation. Feeling that he missed the boat a bit, he wanted to make sure that his son had the opportunity that he turned down. How? Well that is why we are here.

The scene breaks away with John Bane driving down a dark road. He takes a drink of something in a cup and continues to drive.

Interviewer: How long have we been driving?

Bane: About 7 hours.

Interviewer: So another 2 hours or so?

Bane: Yeah.

Interviewer: So, how are you enjoying Kentucky?

Bane: It is fine. Dixie is there so I have no issues being there with her. In reality the hussle and bussle of Baltimore is more of a distraction than a boon. I love Maryland, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you just need to go away for a while and take everything in.

Interviewer: So before we get to the big questions, lets talk about your lineage. You come from a family of well respected male wrestlers. How does it feel to not have a son, thus ending the name of Bane once your daughter gets married?

Bane: The name living on does not bother me that much. I know that Ashura is going to continue to improve and end up being great. I hope that she ends up being better than I am. She has her entire career in front of her. I could not be happier with the way things have turned out.

Interviewer: Where did you learn your move and knack for innovating the way you do?

Bane: My dad and grandfather gave me my start. But I did not want to go off my dads name. He was a legend in wrestling before wrestling was really popular. But dad was never charismatic or flashy with his moves. He was very old school in the way he did things. He would come out and just stretch you into a pretzel and leave. Where I learned how to fly was at Larry Sharpe's school in the early 90's. Dad wasn't real happy with the direction I was going so he decided to stop training me. He never liked these guys that climbed the ropes but he knew it was the way wrestling was going and the only way it was going to thrive and survive. So he gave me over to Sharpe and that is where things began for me. My first match was just up the road in Hagerstown, Maryland. I got my start around here and I wouldn't change that for the world.

Interviewer: So why leave Maryland if you love it so much?

Bane: Mostly to be close to Dixie. We worked the road for a few years in a couple of indy feds and when we both came to PRW, the bookers wanted to put us together. We both kinda talked about it over a dinner one night with a few of the other guys and everyone thought it was a good idea.

Interviewer: When did you guys know it was something more than business?

Bane smiles a bit as he speaks.

Bane: It is actually kinda funny because Dixie has a reputation as kind of a...well....you know. She is so sweet though. Almost like a southern belle of sorts. One day we were in separate hotels and some guy was really trying to get with her after one of the shows. I was staying two or three rooms down and this guy was beating down her door and she was really scared. Well there are three people you don't wanna piss off around here. You don't wanna piss off Razer, Alex LeBlanc and myself. This guy was pounding the door so hard that he was shaking my walls. So I got up and along with Travis Levitt escorted the gentleman from the hotel and informed him if he ever came around again we would ensure that he would not make it home. PRW wrestlers take care of each other on the road. We have to because there are a lot of crazy people out there. But she kinda looked at me a little different after that. The time we really started hitting it off was when PRW wanted us to do some press work over at Disneyland. We started going around doing some fun stuff and got real close. Then they sent us down to Mexico with Ashura for the PRW/AAA team up. Ashura would sit around and watch us goof around and she finally talked both of us to get together. It was really nice of her, cause she knows that sometimes I don't take well to people and I don't like being in big groups but with Dixie it is different and I actually enjoy being around her. That is something that hasn't happened in a long time. It is kinda nice to be with someone who actually can put up with some of the shit that I come up with.

Bane crosses over into Harpers Ferry, West Virginia as he continues to drive towards his hometown.

Interviewer: So what's in Maryland?

Bane: I have something special in store for Maryland. Did you know I haven't been in the ring at home in many years? If this is my last time I want to make sure that Maryland gets one great last show from me. They have done so much to push my career and push me to be great, I want to return that favor for these guys. No one knows I am coming, everyone thinks I am in England somewhere getting ready for Mercer but I needed this.

Bane crosses into Virginia as this will continue next episode.

As episode two begins of Bane 24/7, Bane is still driving towards his destination, a hotel outside of College Park, Maryland, where Bane will have his homecoming against an unknown opponent. The interviewer breaks the silence, which has apparently been going on for a while.

Interviewer: So you have been quiet for a while. What are you thinking about?

Bane: Its a big match for me man. It feels great to be home after such a long time being away. The road wears on you after a while and it just feels good to be back to something familar. Even though this is no longer where I reside I will always call this place home.

Bane pulls into the hotel and parks.

Bane: Here we are.

Interviewer: We are right down the road from the arena.

Bane: Yep pretty close. Lets go get checked in and relax for a bit. I have to go out in about an hour so I can get ready for the show.

A montage of Bane checking in to the motel, followed by going to the room and doing a few laps in the pool before the camera cuts out and cuts back in as the camera follows Bane into Richie Coliseum. The first person to greet Bane is Dixie Lanford, who had flown and arrived just before Bane. She gives him a huge hug and asks him how the trip was. Bane talks to Dixie about some of the things he saw but the camera cant pick up the audio all that great. Dixie tells Bane that the booker needs to see him. Bane goes to the booker and for some reason Bane tells us to keep our distance from him and the booker. Bane comes back and starts to head off to the locker room.

Interviewer: So what was that all about?

Bane: Just going over the details for tonight.

Interviewer: Did you get an opponent for tonight?

Bane: Yeah I got my good friend Travis tonight. We have been waiting a long time to do this so I am happy they finally let both of us have a match together.

Enter Travis Levitt, a man who has become something of a superstar in his own right. He is cool and confident and oozes charisma. Travis comes in and gives Bane a huge hug, followed by another friend of Banes, Alexander Owens. The three men look at each other and begin to talk to each other.

Levitt: Did you hear the news? You get to face off against me tonight.

Bane: Yeah I heard. I wanna give the fans tonight a hell of a match brother. Are you ready to put on a hell of a show?

Levitt: You know I am.

Levitt, Bane and Owens continue to joke around a bit before telling us to turn off the audio to the camera so they can talk about the match for tonight. All three guys smile and do a ritualistic handshake of sorts before Levitt and Owens leave. Bane sits on the bench to get ready as Dixie Lanford walks in and sits beside Bane. She puts her head on his shoulder.

Lanford: I hope this isn't the end.

Bane strokes her hair a bit before a stage assistant comes in and tells Bane its time. Bane stands up and lifts Dixie's chin up and gives her a kiss.

Bane: Don't worry babe, I got this.

Bane smiles as his music can be heard gearing up and he leaves the locker room area with Dixie.

After some video of Bane doing some old school training we see Bane looking out a window of a car. The items are moving fast as the man who has been around Bane for the better part of three weeks begins to speak to Bane.

Interviewer: So John are you ready for all of this? The possibility of you walking into your last match, not only in PRW, but in wrestling in general?

Bane continues to look out the window, lost in deep thought.

Bane: Ready as I am going to get.

The car stops outside of The Capital City Airport, right outside of Frankfort, Kentucky. Bane steps out as does his "Main Squeeze" Dixie Lanford. Bane only takes one set of luggage out of the car as he drops his rollerbag to the ground, extends the handle, and begins to walk into the airport, followed by Dixie. Bane takes a few minutes and gets checked in, checking his bag and has only one ticket in his hand. Bane and Dixie begin to walk to security but stops short as Dixie, with tears in her eyes, hugs Bane. They embrace as Bane goes to pull away but Dixie wont let go as she has a parting word for him.

Dixie: Johnny, I know we have talked about this. I want you to rethink this. I want to come with you. Please! I need to be there with you.

Bane: Dix...we have talked about this. Things are going to get crazy. I can't have what happened in Maryland happen again. You haven't been around in person when one of these matches take place. There is a certain level of depravity that goes on in this match. My career is on the line. I am going to have to go to that place that you say you hate. I can't go to that place with you out there. You have seen some of the things I have planned. Do you actually want to see that in person? You know how I get. This is personal so you and PRW haven't seen what im like when its personal. I don't even want you to watch what is gonna happen on pay per view, let alone in person. I need you to stay.

Lanford: Ok Johnny. I understand. I just have one more thing to say. Whatever you do and whatever happens in London I need you to promise me one thing. I need you to promise that you will come home to me when this is over. I need you normal, not the crazy guy that you have become over the last few weeks. I need the Johnny who sat in that field with me. Win or lose, I love you and I need you to know that.

Bane: I love you too Dixie.

Bane and Dixie embrace once more before Bane pulls away this time Dixie holds on but lets go with her fingertips holding on till the last second. Bane holds his ticket up to security as he passes through and the scene fades out.
