The cameras come online as Bane and a reporters are sitting opposite of each other. Bane is checking his tablet as the reporter is getting his notes ready. Bane smiles into the tablet as it looks like he is video chatting with someone right before the interview starts.
Interviewer: Two minutes Mr. Bane.
Bane waves the interviewer off as he continues to smile into the tablet.
Bane: You look fine. Don't worry about anything. Get some rest please. Hametsu is going to come down and do the valet thing while I am down here. Please get some rest and I'll see you when I get back I promise ok?
Bane closes up his tablet as he waits for the interview to start.
Interviewer: Good morning Mexico City and PRW fans watching on the PRW channel. I am Hector Cortez with Radio Capital 830AM and with me today is a man who has taken professional wrestling by storm once again. Celebrating his 25th year in professional wrestling, the current PRW X division champion, John Bane! Mr. Bane thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to come see us here today.
Bane: No problem Hector. I am really glad to be here.
Hector: So let me ask you. Was Dixie Lanford on the other end of that video conference?
Bane sighs and rubs his face. You can see the irritation in his face, the amount of questions he has gotten on his subject lately seems to have to gotten on his last nerve. Bane takes a deep breath and calms his heart rate then smiles.
Bane: Yes it was. Dixie is a good friend of mine. We have been up and down the road for a year. You develop a bond with the people you are on the road with three hundred days a year. I legitimately worry about my friends and I want to make sure they are ok.
Hector: Is that why you postponed this interview?
Bane: Partially. The first day I was here I was super busy. I had about twenty meetings. Then I had to phone back to the PRW offices and set some stuff up, because I just took some extra dates for this talent exchange.
Hector: Lets talk about why you are here for so many shows. I heard you are offering to pay for all the tickets in the shows you are performing in so the fans of Mexico can get in for free. I dont think I have ever heard of that before. Why are you doing this and are you getting a big payday for coming down here?
Bane: I am doing these shows for free. Twenty-five years ago I got my start down here in Mexico. Actually where I got my start was in Los Mochis. I was 16 but I told the promoter in very bad spanish that I was 18. He let me in and I got my ass handed to me for months and months. I was so green that I could have been grass. I kept coming back though and the promoter at the time saw something in me. He set me up as a hillbilly, and I remember this like it was yesterday, we actually used a sharpie to color a few of my teeth to make it look like I was missing them. But I had a few wrestlers take me under their wings because I took my lumps. I learned the language while I was down here and just as I had a few of the big promotions here in Mexico looking at me I moved to Japan to train with a few other guys. But I never forgot where I came from. It has been twenty one years since I have been in Mexico but I always said, if i hit the big time I would come back and repay the mexican people for their kindness. I think by letting them watch some great wrestling from myself, some of the wrestlers they know and love and some of my PRW brethren that is a pretty awesome way to thank them for helping me get on my way. Last week was my twenty fifth anniversary in wrestling and I wanted to start by giving back.
Hector: I remember vaguely but I know someone who remembers much better and we got ahold of your old promoter and had him send a picture to us. Lets see here....

Bane: Man I look so horrible in that picture. I remember it took almost a month for that sharpie to come off. Everyone starts off somewhere. Its nice to reflect on your past. It helps you to remember that everyone starts at the bottom.
Hector: Its a pity Dixie couldn't make it down here with you. I heard that when you see her on TV and in person it is totally different. We had guys lined up outside our studio for days trying to get a picture with her or an autograph or just to see her.
Bane: She is a very beautiful woman. But she is also very compassionate and nice. She plays a hitwoman redneck type character but outside of that ring she is a totally different person. If you ever get the chance ask her to make you some sweet sun tea or some scrambled eggs. Her sun tea and scrambled eggs are legendary on the road. It will really get you there, if you know what im saying.
Hector: So tell me about this talent exchange.
Bane: Well AAA has been consistently sending talent up to the US to wrestle for us on some of our IPPVs. We are returning the favor. We are going to have our Undisputed Champion and legitimate bad ass Razer. We are going to have the absolute great Joey Nox. We are going to have Agustin Gates down here, and we may leave him here if he doesnt get his act together. A ton of PRW's finest are making their way down for this talent exchange and it will all culminate right here in Mexico City in April for our first PRW show from Mexico City that will be entitled Nueva Hora. Be on the look out for that card which will be announced very soon. I know a few of the matches and I can tell you that Mexico City may never be the same again after PRW comes in to town.
Hector: So is there anyone here in Mexico you are looking forward to facing?
Bane: In reality, im just happy to be representing PRW down here in Mexico. I am looking forward to teaming with Razer to face off with Los Hell Brothers. I am also looking forward to facing off with LA Park in that Mexican Street Fight. AAA has really opened their doors to me and the rest of PRW. We are very excited to be here and we are looking to put on a great show for the fans here in Mexico and maybe we will pick up a few more fans along the way.
Hector: Last question because I know you are a very busy man. How does it feel to be a champion in PRW and are you worried about your match at PRW Blackout?
Bane: Well let me say this. I was underestimated in that title match. That is why I won. Takato Kazama is a hell of a wrestler. He may be one of the best wrestlers to ever lace up boots. The problem is that he ran into a brick wall named John Bane and it cost him his title. Alex LeBlanc has not said much. I have not said much myself about that match either. I am actually glad his name popped up. It is a hell of a stipulation for that match. Its a Philly Street Fight. Anything goes pretty much. We could end up anywhere battling it out. I am looking forward to going against one of the greatest wrestlers ever in PRW and I wont be taking him lightly. That is something I can absolutely guarantee you. Alex LeBlanc may beat me for the title, but I can tell you one thing. At the end of the night Alex LeBlanc will know that he was in the fight of his life. If he does beat me he will be the better man that night and like a man I will shake his hand. Because for me it has never been about being a heel or a face or whatever these smarks are calling people nowadays. I am here to be the best and to be the best in the business you have to go against others who are the best and I will do everything in my power to win that match and raise this title above my head. Titles dont make you the best, what you do in that ring makes you the best. Any idiot can win a title, just look at Agustin Gates. But if he stepped into that ring with me would he beat me? Hell no. I would snap his twig legs like I snap my fingers. But to answer your question, I am happy to have had the opportunity to go against one of the best and win. The title is just a bonus.
Hector: Mr. Bane, thank you for your time and good luck with your tour dates and your match at Blackout.
Hector Cortez and Bane shake hands as the camera cuts off.
