Cha! Not saying MCR is emo, but there last album was way depressive.. BFS's lastest was the complete opposite! Hence the song: I'm Gay. In the orignal meaning of the word meaning, I'm happy! As well as the lyrics in the song: "It's super cool to be mad these days", "Don't hate us cause we're happy, don't hate us if you're miserable, don't hate us if we make you smile or if we go the extra mile, to make youbetter on a really sh***y day, and if you're hearing what I'm saying then I want you to say I'M GAY!" Officially my favorite song ever! :P |

Hmm, personally i think Bowling for Soup's music is rather juvinile. My life isn't exactly fun if you define fun as living atop a camera store, always by yourself, getting called Emo, wanting to kill all the bastards you hate, and going to a school with stuck up rich punks who should just die. The members of MCR have delt with this as well and the lyrics really speak to me. They know what its like and they don't take S**t from anyone. MCR's lyrics are more advanced and have a deeper meaning. They may be too "Dark" to you but infact if you actually took the time to understand them you would find that they have a deeper meaning than what people who have a very limited capacity to understand concepts like those of My Chemical Romance. You my friend, have just demonstrated that you infact may or may not have any understanding of what the music is saying, guitars, bass, drums, vocals, etc. So please, when you say that one band is better than another, come up with some good reasons to why. And as for MCR being Emo, nothing sounds like My Chemical Romance so technically they aren't Emo. The music they create is unlike any other bands. Bowling for Soups is rather, bland in my opinion. |

If you pay attention to BFS they have meaning too. They're saying everybody in the world is unhappy these days! You're doing just what he says in the song: "Don't hate us cause we're happy". Not that you hate them, but you dislike them cause they're too happy for you. Sorry if I'm not in league with your depression, but that's why I like Bowling for Soup, cause they're not depressed. You're telling me to listen to MCR's lyrics, I do. But I don't like them because of the depression. Happiness is non-existant. You can't be happy all the time. And all BFS talks about is HIgh School and S**t like that. I just think their music is childish and who said i was depressed Faavtro. If you assume that just cuz i have it hard im depressed, you're a moron. Sure, i'm pissed but you can only do the best you can. When you want to judge MCR and myself, then how about you try and live it and see what its like. ~Closed |
