Hello all,
First of all, thanks for reading. any comments / questions gladly accepted.
If you want, you can take a look at The financial post #1, which is about basic guide about how to make mesos.

[General introduction] I hope you enjoy the guide, learn from it, and most of all - don't use it to scam other people. I really don't want this guide to harm anybody. If I will see someone is gonna use it for bad reason, I'll PM a mod or the administrator, and delete the guide.
Mods and Administrator, if you feel this guide will harm anyone, please feel free to delete it.

[Guide introduction] You have probably seen people, either in forums or ingame, that tell about they got scammed. You also probably don't want to get scammed yourself. This guide will talk about types of scams, and how to prevent from getting scammed.
I'll try to make this guide "Short-and-to-the-Point", so you won't have to read to much :P

Guide starts here

1.Drop party's and "Follow me for 100mil mesos" scams
You go around a popular place (e.g. Henesys). Someone says "drop party I drop [high level item here or 10mil mesos here] ch16 follow @@@".
This is a scam. Never follow this people. If you will, they will say something like "Drop your best item I'll drop 10mil mesos". Even if they go "far away" from you, they will always be able to either Teleport to where you stand, use haste and run there, or, invite there hacker friend, who will stand in the other part of the map and Vac your items. Never follow this guys, no matter what they say - "Follow for 1000mil mesos", "Follow for good items", "Follow for FREE NXCASH", or anything else similar.

2."Retrade me" and similar scams
You stand in FM. Someone trades you and shows you a strong item or a worthy scroll (e.g. 10ATK w/g). He says he will sell it for only 3mil. Then, you see the trade finishes, and a second after it he retrades you. He says "sorry, pressed on cancel. Here we go, lets trade now". He puts in the trade an item that looks just the same, for example, if the item before was a 60% scroll for glove for attack, he will put a 60% scroll for pet equip speed. Both scrolls look the same, but still, you MUST double check the item before you trade. If you won't check, you might buy an item that worths 10k for 3mil. Be carefull.

3.Make a price-check
You are after a PQ (this normally happens in Kerning-City PQ, when people don't know that scrolls worth a lot). You have just got a 10% Scroll for overall for dex (the only scroll that you can get from Kerning-City PQ that worths something). Some high level guy trades you and offers 300k. If you will trade it for this price, that guy will go to FM with all the scrolls that he bought in Kerning-City for cheap, and sell them for more then million mesos in the FM. This can happen for any item, in any place - Kerning-City and the scrolls were just example. Always go to some popular sites (Basil Market - where you can go to the "Price Check" section in the toolbar, or just ask in a forum (either this one or one with more members - Happy Mapling, Maple Tip etc.)). Never sell an item your not sure about it's price before PCing.

4."Fame scam"
This isn't really a scam, but it's important. Do not trade / sell fame if you do not trust the player you are going to fame. If you do fame a person that you don't trust, and he doesn't pay you back, don't get to angry. It's only 1 fame.
[Card Game message]"Fame me for 30k"[/close Card Game message] - this kind of people never really pay back, if you pay them, don't think about getting a reward.

Report scammers
For scams #1,2 - right click the scammer and click on "Alert GM" > "Scamming".
For scams #3,4 - there is nothing to do. Do not report them, it's your fault. Tough luck, Be carefull next time.

You forgot to watch out for people selling Cash, cos they are most likely scammers.

Also, many people try to trick you of your items.
First they say they'll duplicate your items if you put all you items in the trade.
Then they'll tell you to press some keys, cant remember what.
The keys actually make you accept the trade, and thats how the duplication works.

It'll duplicate the item into the scammers inventory, then delete the one in yours.
