Dear Users,

Ossyria's Gate is switching forums. This is due to potential issues, glitches, and the well being and use of the forum. Our new forum offers you many more features such as the arcade, army system, store, chat box, etc.

The rules are the same and will be the same. Current members of this forums' post counts will be transfered as well as their OG points. Topics/Posts cannot be transfered, so please repost any topics you need to.

The IF OG Forums will be permenantly closed Friday June 15th, 2007 @ 4 PM EST

There will be a notice on the OG Website and the forum link will be changed sometime this week. I know this is difficult, as it is for the moderators and myself, but it will make OG even better.

Yes! The long wait has finally ended. Today in Scania, Jboy, myself, and some other Scanian friends of mine re-created my old guild Repulse. I am extremely pleased about this as it was my favorite guild I have ever led.

I will be adding to the guild page on the website and adding a whole guild forum on the OG forum.

If anyone wishes to join the Scania guild please PM me for now until the recruiting forum is up for Repulse.

If you want to create Repulse in another world, I am proposing that I will make one in Bera if someone wishes seeing as i have the funds. If you want to make one in the other servers or in Bera please PM me about creating a Repulse branch there.

Hey there guys,

As many of you have already read, Nexon has banned a massive amount of players for hacking and are hence introducing their auto banning system in the coming months. I would just like to send a message to all of you viewers and members that hacking isn't a smart thing. Leveling isn't the pure focus of MapleStory. It's the experiences you share with your friends and the dangers and hardships you overcome. There's not point to it. You'll just get banned and that'll be the end of it. your only making things worse for other players. It is NOT WORTH IT!

If you do hack and are a member of Ossyria's Gate, I suggest you keep it to your self. It would be a dumb move to reveal yourself and I may just tem ban you here just to send a message.

Ossyria's Gate greatly discourages hacking and we believe that it just makes MapleStory worse and ruins it for others.


I hope you will all heed this warning from Nexon, stop hacking if you are, and remain legit if you aren't.

Dear Users,
As you all know we have been having very few members to the forum. The activity has gone down dramatically and it is becoming difficult to find ways to make the site better and increase our membership. As you all know, we do not have any funding whatsoever so we are already behind the 8-ball next to other fansites. I feel as if we are just posting randomly and there is no importance in what we are doing.

So, we have a choice to make. In order to keep this Fansite and Forum alive we must do one or more than one of the following:

-Become affiliates with a popular Fansite i.e. Hidden-Street. Becoming affiliates with a popular MapleStory fansite would spread the word and people would join. This poses many problems as they have to accept us

-Advertise on Other Sites This is a problem because it costs $ to advertise on websites and we have $0 of funding whatsoever. We could advertise on forums like Nexon, MapleGlobal, MapleSea, Hidden-Street, etc. but that poses risks as some of our members use those forums. With MapleGlobal, MapleSea, and Nexon...you could get banned In Game as well which is extremely risky.

-Advertise in Your Signature on other forums A lot of our users at OG already do this and its really helping, but, it is not enough. Most people are just too lazy or like the forums they're at to join if they see it in your signature.


These are just a few of many broad ways to attract members. I honestly do not know how else we could get recognized. Every thread I make about getting new members is usually disregarded after being discussed by only a few. I personally worked very hard on this forum and website and it seems like it's all for nothing. Though many of you who are active are supporting Ossyria's Gate, if we don't want this Website and Forum to die, we have to figure out a way to save it.

This forum and website is my pride and joy. I would love to keep it alive, its almost summer and many players have come back already. Who knows how that will affect it but the reality is, this website was created to help others. Ossyria's Gate has become a haven for spam and useless ideas that never go anywhere. Suprisingly, we have exceeded our members active at one time goal, up to 7, but it is not nearly as good as other sites. I know it takes a lot of work, but we need to think ahead. Unless you want Ossyria's Gate to become a dead website and forum, we need to start supplying more guides, quest help, training help, guild help, etc. We need to develope something big and work on the Ossy Wiki a lot more. I can't do this alone. I already supplied the basics and set up everything, it is up to you guys to help me make Ossyria's Gate great.

This is your choice guys, we need to figure out something or else Ossyria's Gate is finished.

Well, i've made a new Ossy Wiki...i had this made before even the Wikipedia Ossy Wiki...i think its a lot better and it wont remove S**t.

The Ossyria's Gate website is having some technical issues. This is because of the free domain. We sometimes have issues because the free domain does not provide all the needed bandwith to our newly immense population. We have been getting many guests on the forum so that means OG's getting around. We have had a massive increase in hits and are over 1,000. This is just another reason why we need to somehow gain donations. Click here to discuss this issue.
