The rope itself had nothing to do with the evidence needed to disprove a suicide, but the [hint] location [/hint] of the rope does. So yes the librarian was hung by a rope, and yes, the librarian was cut from something in her office. "During a party at the library, the librarian passed out from being overworked. Her assistant then carried her to her office where she could rest in peace. The next morning, the librarian was found dead, hung in her office next to her favorite book shelf. Blood on the floor could be seen from a recently gained cut on the librarian's lower left leg. After taking down the body, the autopsy reported the death to have occured only 2 hours ago. After a quick survey of the death scene, the police determined that the death was defintely not suicidal. What evidence lead them to this conclusion?" Correct: -There was nothing around for the victim to jump off of. -Was the assistant was involved in her death? -Was the bookshelf involved? -Did the assistant hang her? -The assistant hung her on purpose? -Was the librarian's cut caused from something in her office? -Was the librarian hung by a rope? Incorrect: -Was poison found in her body? -Was the bookshelf knocked over? -Did one of the books have the assistant/assassinator's name on it or something...? -Was the cause of death NOT being hung? -Did the assistant cause the wound on the librarian's leg? -Did one of the books provide a clue? -Had she cut herself shaving her leg? -Was the librarian drunk? -Was the hanging suicidal? -Was it something to do with the knot or rope? Edit: Yay 400 posts! |

Had the assistant died from suffocation by the rope? Was the rope attached to the bookshelf? Or... Was the rope attached to something near the bookshelf? Was the assistant short? |

Suffocation? I'm not really sure how hanging works, but the librarian died just like any other hanging scenario. So ya I guess the rope did choke her, so ya death by suffocation. The rope was attached to the ceiling. The assistant was average height. The librarian was [important] NOT cut when she was brought into the office [/important]. And she was both hung over and hung dead . Actually, when you're hung they drop a platform under you and you fall down, then when the length of the rope runs out, it will snap, dislocating your spine to your brain, killing you. I only guessed suffocation because there wasn't anything to jump off. XP Was the librarian hung up like a pinata and beaten with a bat to injure her leg? |

You guys are asking obvious questions just to get points X< Judging by what you said, 1. Was she hung by the corner of the room or 2. in the entrance of the room? |

Hehe, why don't I give a hint? [major] Look at the blood! [/major] Refering to your questions: The librarian was not beaten when she was hung, as she was never touched after she died excluding the autopsy team. She was hung at the side of the room as that's where the shelf was. So.... "During a party at the library, the librarian passed out from being overworked. Her assistant then carried her to her office where she could rest in peace. The next morning, the librarian was found dead, hung in her office next to her favorite book shelf. Remember to keep score, Garaku. 5 points for each correct guess, 10 if they get the solution to it. Was the blood under where she was hung? |

Er... I'm still confused about this 5 point thingy . Can you help me out on that please Comet-san?And I guess I'll throw in another hint. *During the investigation, traces of blood was found on a protruding nail from the top edge of the shelf. So in summary, blood could be found on the shelf, the victim's leg, and on the floor beneath the victim. |

Whenever someone asks a question with a yes answer, they get 5 points. If they get the conundrum right, then they get 10 points. Was the nail there before the librarian was hung? Did it have the assistant's fingerprints on it? |

No, she was not dead during the party, and the assisstant's fingerprints were not found. The nail was there before the librarian's death, and I have no idea what you are asking Lito! I think we should start the 5 point thingy during the next one, cause it'll be troublesome trying to count all the other 5 points that are owed. "During a party at the library, the librarian passed out from being overworked. Her assistant then carried her to her office where she could rest in peace. umm... the assistant pre=planned out the hanging and hung her the moment they got into the room, but the assistant made sure that the floor wouldn't open until lets say 6 in the morning. any hints? P.S. was the evidence that the assistant was last with the librarian? |
