Cocoon: Shielded Innocence: Is a story thing I’m writing(what there is of it, is in the members library section of the forum). It’s about a samurai (Hitoji) who is seduced by the third general (Akama) of the archenemy of his Daimyo. And…as far as my story knows so far…they are still having a rabid forbidden love affair O_o…Uh…my story is more intelligent than it sounds?… RP Plot: Hitoji and his fighting partner Ruoko are assigned to protect and escort the daughter of Yamakawa Daimyo, Koujo, to the region of Machikaze Daimyo(the rival of Yamakawa Daimyo) to marry Machikaze-dono’s son, Kenjiro and seal the peace treaty between the two warlords. But…this job is not as easy as it sounds(well, duh…would they waste seven perfectly good samurai on this mission if it was???), due to attacks from mountain bandits…and a certain red-haired general: Akama. Youmikai Kuroshi-dono(Akama’s Daimyo) is bent on making life hard for Kamiten Ieyasu-dono(Hitoji and Ruoko's Daimyo and Hitoji's adopted "father") and the rest of the kingdom, so he sends Akama to keep Koujo from ever reaching the other city, thus ruining the peace treaty. Unfortunately(or maybe fortunately?), Akama is just slightly more interested in Hitoji than he is in his actual job… On top of all this, a family that had been supplying weapons for the Yamakawas and Machikazes' fighting, who would loose quite a chunk of their income have secretly sent their two sons to stop the marriage as well. The head of this family is the Daimyo Ryokushu who is semi-famous for the blacksmiths and weapon crafters in his land. Current Characters: Kamiten Hitoji – Ka Tokubi Akama – Saiyako Midorikawa Ruoko – Redpirate Yamakawa Koujo – Strawhatpirate Doragon Kikan(Samurai 1) - Sorcina Heike Tsunoshi(Samurai 2) - Fightingcomet Kenshiki Ryuusei(Samurai 3) - Dragonzroolx9000 Yaki Kuniyuki(Samurai 4) - Strawhatpirate Armand Khalid(Samurai 5) - MacabreLAM Ryokushu Keiji - Kanthia Ryokushu Daiki - Kanthia Berehad Mera'ten - Toromwe (As a note, I will probably play Youmikai-dono, Kamiten-dono, Yamakawa-dono, Machikaze-dono, the moutain bandits, and maybe Machikaze Kenjiro if needed, since they speak only briefly if at all.) Any OC chara? (uh…I’m not sure how I would insert these, so if you make one, please make a suggestion…) And the Samurai 1-5 are basically like OC characters. You can make them any way you want with any kind of weapons. The only requirement is that they are serving under Hitoji’s Daimyo, Kamiten, and that they are weaker than Hitoji and Ruoko since they are lower level Samurai under them who are coming along to help. So...yes, I hope this will be an interesting RP. Just warning that there might(then agin, there might not) be some R rated stuff in here, if you don't mind...make sure you note this before joining. Here's the application form if you want to do an OC or one of the random five Samurai(we may end up with less, but please try to keep the male/female ratio somewhat even). And if you want to do a mountain bandit, this pretty much applies too, but if you want to play a mountain bandit, it means you probably have an idea for what they could do too, so please let me know about that. And if you want your character to die sometime in the story, please work that out with me too. Please try to use correct spelling and grammer in your posts(and no chatspeak) and use spellcheck on your posts if you are not very good at spelling. 2. Please write in 3rd person limited POV 3. Any romance is allowed(just please don't make it overwhelm the story) 4. Violence is also allowed. I don't even care if it's gorey as long as it's tasteful. Just please don't make gore for gore's sake, that's annoying. 5. Swearing is the same. Please don't be Fing ever five words. As long as it's reasonable for the situation, you should be okay. 6. Please post every week or two. If you don't post for a long time, I might just have to kick you out. If you are leaving or something for a while, let use know or something(tho' I trust you'd probably use the goodbye part of the forum, so this part should be okay). 7. You may have up to two characters(if you want more, please check with me). The reason is so that one person does not end up controlling too much of the story. And they are easier to keep track of. 8. I'll be Samurai 1. Name: Doragon, Kikan Age:18 Gender: F Likes:Fighting, friends, and swords. Dislikes: enemies to her friends Physical Weaknesses: since being female she is natually weaker than men. Physical Strengths: Despite being physically weaker than men Kikan is fast which makes up for her weakness. (sort of not really) Weapon: Two Katana's that are on her back with Ninja wepons that are in her belt. Physical Description:  Height:5'6" Weight:128Ibls Personality: Cool, calm, quiet, and unmoving most of the time. When under pressure she is still calm. Deep down she is caring, but doesn't show it. And if anyone is in trouble she always seems to be there to help. Although some times she is ruthless. Ans she also thinks thing very thoroughly. History: Unknown even to herself... all she knows is that when she left an orphanage the elder there told her name and gave her a pendant that belonged to her parents. Writing Sample: The pieces of medal dyed red gleamed in the moonlight as a woman stood in the ashes of the cabin’s fire. Two women were cowering in front of the first woman. Their eyes, wide and round from what lay before them. “What… what did you do?” Asked one of the women. “She… she killed him!” Answered the other. “Why? What did he do?” Asked the first cowering woman. “He betrayed my lord… that is a crime that is only amended by death.” Said the woman who killed the man. Without another word the woman left the cabin. Once out side she took out a cloth and wiped the blood off her blade. Sheathing the blade the woman looked up into the starry night sky and pondered. “It’s a shame his life had to be ended by me… why…? Why do people betray others? Why do I hold on to a worthless life? What is my purpose here in this world?” The moonlight gleamed in the woman’s sad red eyes. The answers to her questions won’t be answered… yet. The woman walked silently away and never looked back. --- Was that okay? I hope it was. |

Your character is good except...er...one thing. First of all, her clothes don't exactly work. Maybe I should be a little more detailed on how the other samurai are made... Anyways, her casual clothes are a chinese dress, and her fighting clothes are a tank top and shorts. She wouldn't really be wearing those kinds of clothes, as this world is similar to feudal japan. Fighting-wise(unless she was a kunoichi(ninja) type warrior), she would probably wear a kimono, and maybe hakama(kimono pants) and some armor. She doesn't really get to wear anything other than that, except maybe at the wedding at the end of the RP(where she would probably wear a formal kimono). Like I said, maybe I should make more details on the samura 1-5. By clothing description, I gave room for ninja-like clothes, and clothing style and color preference, but I guess everyone there had pretty standard clothing. Maybe she prefers to wear purple, or green. Maybe she prefers her sleaves to be longer or shorter, or none at all. Maybe she prefers her pants to be more dress-like and feminine(like Kenshin's) or maybe she prefers them to be the more usual kind(like Rukia's). The most difference in the color and quality of the cloth. But she is very cute(though, I don't understand why she has red eyes...just born like that, right?), so her face/hair designes will stay. So, just re-describe the clothes or we'll just assume general uniform like clothing. Your writing sample is very good. She seems a little...like she thinks a lot. Like, would she really think that much if she was killing someone who betrayed her master? A samurai really should be loyal to the point that it is as thought it were a personal betrayal, but it gives character, so it's okay as long as it doesn't lead to like, traitor-like thinking. Besides, Kamiten-dono is very compassionate. He wouldn't order someone executed without good reason. And isn't she a little skinny? She has muscle mass, you know(dude, Katanas are heavy). Anyway, she's good and pretty much accepted. Just touch up a couple things, and she's good to go. |

Okay I fixed some things... I couldn't fix all of them. I changed her outfit completely. She has Ninja armor under her clothes and (hopefully) looks more like a ninja. She can and will use her ninja wepons if it will help the situation, but she perfers her swords. As for the muscle mass... Sorry I couldn't change the fact that she's skinny. Just picture her a little bigger. Now for her thinking thing. She thinks about things very thoroughly. She always seems to have plans incase one fails. Also if she thinks of a better plan or has another outlook on the situation she will never say anything unless she is asked directly. She has never thought traitor-like thoughts and if she did she promised to kill herself. As for the red eyes yes she was born with them. I thought they would look creepy and say to people 'stay away from me.' or something. Now the man that she killed was a tratior to his lord and tried to kill (and sometimes if he were lucky killed) countless people that were close or somewhat close to Kamiten-dono. |

Oh, that's very good! I might just draw her sometimes! You are accepted. What I meant by skinny, is that 120 is okay for a normal girl that height, but if you are a warrior, who is not only fit, but also with more muscles than other people(even not necessarily bulky), she might be a little heavier, just in wieght, but it's okay. |

Name: Ryuusei Kenshiki (though many sometimes call her "Kohakuiro no Neko") Age: 15 Gender: Female Likes: People who treat her like she was a person, not an animal, pure, undiluted adventure, and... Any kind of edible fish. ^^;; Dislikes: People who treat others unfairly, the age-old family curse, Hinote mouthing off randomly, the fact that she just can't figure out how to break the curse placed on her family centuries ago Physical Weaknesses: Although she is stuck as the fastest land animal, she can only go at her top speed (65 mph = 100 kph) in a short burst of energy. Since her bone structure needs to be almost hollow for her to be so fast, her bones are somewhat fragile and easy to break. Her sense of sight is on average inferior to her sense of smell and hearing. Physical Strengths: Being a cheetah, Ryuusei is the fastest land animal in the world. Even if she doesn’t go at full steam, she has unbelievable agility and maneuverability, and she can run for hours at a controlled canter of 30 mph. That’s still pretty fast. Since the cheetah is essentially a big, fast cat, her night vision is exceptional. Weapon: Ryuusei doesn’t usually use any type of man-made weapon, but if she has the chance, she can somewhat easily pick up a pike or sword with her mouth and use it, due to all the self-training she gave herself. Physical Description: The only physically noticeable thing that discerns her from a real cheetah are the unusually long and broad ears, in contrast to a normal one’s small ones. Her most striking traits are her eyes. Since she cannot speak, being an animal, she uses her eyes to tell others what is on her mind. Those amber-brown eyes are probably the most expressive things ever seen. However, her reptilian friend Hinote can easily discern more subtle emotions being shown through those eyes at a glance, when others might need to look hard to see them. Ryuusei is around 130 lbs, and from head to tail is about two meters long. Personality: Ryuusei is mostly laid-back, and something of a optimist, but when the situations calls for it, she can be dead serious. If she sees someone in need, she tries to help him or her in some way. She’d rather be hung upside down from a cliff on a rotting rope than simply watch as a friend tries to cope alone with a dire situation. History (optional if you are one of the five Samurai): about 500 years ago, the Kenshiki clan lived in peace and prosperity in their small village. The crops were plentiful, everyone had their fair share of money, and nobody went hungry. However, the head of the clan had made a promise to an old hag of a hermit in the mountains that he would have to give her his firstborn child for her to have if she gave him a bottle full of a powerful herbal concoction that was supposed to make you more attractive to the one you love most (yeah, he was having issues with his wife), which was rare and extremely difficult to make. He broke that promise because he loved his son simply too much. The hermit was beside herself with incurable rage, and decided she should punish the entire clan for their leader’s selfishness. She put a curse on the entity of the direct bloodline of the Kenshiki clan. The first child that was directly connected to the Kenshiki ancestry line that was born every ten years was destined to receive the curse. On the tenth day of the tenth month of the child’s tenth year of life, he or she would transform into some kind of cat. At fist, the curse only turned them into things like house cats and sometimes a few lynx, but over the centuries, it seemed to build up in its’ malignant powers until finally, Ryuusei transformed into her cat. Hers was the first one who was a member of the big cat family. She felt that this curse had lived on for long enough already, and it was time to dissolve it. So, she set out to find someone—or something—that would seal off the curse forever. She decided that simply scratching and biting wasn’t a good way to defend yourself from a dangerous world, so she taught herself how to fight more artfully—using an array of martial arts, modifying them so they would work for her. She met Hinote one day while training. Hinote was a viperlike snake who had somehow changed into a bright shade of blood red, and his eyes bright yellow. He also could, surprisingly, talk, using a voice laced with recurrent hissing. She asked Hinote about his powers, by writing in the dust with her claw. The serpent explained that he had innocently come upon the rarest substance on the planet—a firelily—and its’ powers, when he drank from a spring that had mixed with its’ mysterious nectar, which had probably dripped into the water somehow into the subterranean source of water. Overnight, he had gained a human way of thinking, a name, a hotheaded, headstrong personality, and bright red scales. He asked if he could accompany Ryuusei on her search, and she gracefully accepted. Now, she and the snake roam the lands, trying to find a way to help destroy the curse. Hinote always sits coiled atop Ryuusei’s head. Writing Sample: A fallen star who has lost all its’ pride. Ryuusei sighed into the misty morning air, and Hinote shifted in her head fur. Another night ending in no luck for her search. Always it did. Always they returned to their tiny overhang near the cliffs, sporting nothing but disappointment. But she knew. She knew that one day, she would find the cursebreaker and finally be human again. She would be a star in the sky again, with her pride regained. ~~~ Gah, I'm getting bad feelings about this...

O___O Dragonz-kun, a cheetah. With incredibly good writing... The village must be very shocked. I don't think there are any cheetahs in japan. It's a very interesting character, but how will it fit in the plot? I had asked the OCs to suggest how they might fit and the plot and possibly enhance it. And would Hinote be a character in this too? Sorcina-san, none of my characters in the original version of C:SI have set ages, but Hitoji is around 24, Ruoko is around 18, and Akama is around 32, I think the Kojou is probably around 16, maybe a little bit older, and Kenjiro is probably around 20 or maybe a little older. In the other AUs they have specific ages, so if you want to know, I'll tell you but I'm not sure what that would help with... AND ONCE AGAIN, I need ideas to make the plot a little more interesting, so if anyone has any ideas, please tell me...if you don't have one currently...GO THINK OF ONE...^_____^uuu....eheheheheheh...please. |

I'll post the Bio later- things need to be fixed. e-e But that's not why I'm posting... For a good Height/Weight chart, go here. I use it for all my characters, and it has the weight depending on the frame of the person. It's pretty nifty. ^^ So...that's it. Check it out, so hopefully no charaters will be anorexic or extremely overweight. (Unless they're supposed to be. ^^;; ahaha.) *dance* |
