Okay...since Kinnik probally left us, anyone willing to take Robin? If not...then we move onto Chopper. If Chopper doesn't show, then Nami finishes. If we dont' get many performances, then this thread is pretty much dead. |

Okay, here I go, and sorry I couldn't get the actual song, I just couldn't find it. I'm so scared. Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCarteny Chopper was practicing behind stage, to be prepared for his act. He then heard his name, gave one big gulp, and continued onto the stage. The lights were bright, and blinded him from all the viewers, helping him calm down. He started to forget he was ever there, and imagined himself back home, putting up the décor with Dr. Hilukaluk. The lights turned to a blue and white color. A piano started to play, while he started to tap his foot and move side to side. The moon is right The spirits up We’re here tonight And that’s enough Simply having a wonderful Christmastime Simply having a wonderful Christmastime The party’s on The feelin’s here That only comes This time of year Simply having a wonderful Christmastime Simply having a wonderful Christmastime As the song went on, he quickly changed to a happy childish act, trying to make it sound like a child was singing the next verse. He also started to walk back and forth while singing, to add in more emotion before changing his voice back to a happy older voice. The choir of the children sing their song Ding dong, ding dong Ding dong, ding ohhhh Ohhhhhhh He also continued to walk. Simply having a wonderful Christmastime simply having a wonderful Christmastime The word is out About the town To lift a glass As he was singing the next part, he looked up, shaking his head while pointing down and singing. Ahhh don’t look down Simply having a wonderful Christmastime Simply having a wonderful Christmastime Again he went back to the childish voice, than back again, only this time the light colors changed to a red, blue, green and white. The choir of children sing their song They practiced all year long Ding dong, ding dong Ding dong, ding dong Ding dong, ding dong He started to sound louder and proud of himself as he continued on through the song. The party’s on The spirits up We’re here tonight And that’s enough Simply having a wonderful Christmastime Simply having a wonderful Christmas As he was about to say time, he then lowered his voice and started to slow down a bit, while the lights changed back to a blue and white color. Time…….. He continued with the slowness of the song. The moon is right The spirits up We’re here tonight And that’s enough He paused, trying to make a big climax to his ending, sounding louder and prouder than before. Simply having a wonderful Christmastime Simply having a wonderful Christmastime He pitched is voice to sound a bit higher. Simply having a wonderful Christmastime Simply having a wonderful Christmastime He paused for a very short time, then the light color went off, and he started to sing his last note. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Right after singing his second last note, all the lights came on and the red, green, white and blue lights came back, as he put one hand out to make his dramatic scene. Christmastime!!! As the song ended, the lights started to turn back to their normal color, and he could see his favorite friend giving him a thumb’s up, making him smile. "So, how did I do?" he asked, still gaining his breath from the song. :ph43r: |

OOC: Gah. This isn't getting too far. Really, the only people that judge are me, Digi-dono, and X-law. Chibi-sama comes sometimes, but emaster takes longest. I'm thinking we should have atleast four judge votes, then move on. But...I may have to wait this out. Kanthia is next, if we can't get a Robin soon. X_X I need to PM Kanthia... |

Yosha~! Putfile was being a meanie-mo, so you can listen to the song here. Kanthia is aware it's a InuKag slideshow...but it's her favouritest song ever. She asks that you listen 'cause the tune is really neat ^0^ -- Private Radio /Vanessa Carlton Nami gripped the stem of the microphone tighter as the judges finished with Chopper. She had been preparing all week for this- shopping for clothes, picking out lip gloss, getting Sanji’s opinion on everything (which didn’t mean much; all he could offer usually was a “Mellorine~” and a constant stream of blood from his nose, which meant she was on the right track), occasionally practicing the song. Everything was perfect. She had to win this, because if she didn’t she would probably only be able to sucker half the winnings from the victor. As her name was called, she stepped onto the stage. She smiled for the judges and took her position in the center of the stage just as the music started up. The first few bars brought in the piano and tambourine- sweet instruments pounding out a rough rhythm, just like her. Oh oh oh Oh oh oh Gotta get a little Gotta get a little All the world has gone to bed And I am drowning in its silence But a solitude lives in my head From you, baby Here the drums and violin kicked in with a burst of orange-tinted spotlights centering on her, and she began to accentuate the rhythm with the movement of her hips and gestures with her free hand. The fitted navy miniskirt she had picked out this morning drew a swell of admiration from the male portion of the crowd. And if the silence was a song Well, its rhythm grooves and it's a private radio And on this night I do belong In harmony You can't deny me You will oblige me It's my melody When the night comes And no-one knows I can feel it I got my private radio The harmony vocals were pre-recorded by her and were playing in the background. She slipped out of the chorus effortlessly, switching the microphone to her right hand and letting the tempo carry her feet as the spotlights danced around her. Everything was free, freedom, no longer the contest but just the dance and song. The audience faded away behind the bright lights. She couldn't care less. Catch me, night can Call me later Morning's risin' A couple of bars of slower-paced instrumentals allowed her to catch her breath quickly and slow her heart down for the bridge. All the world has gone to bed And there's a sound inside my head And in the dark inside my bed And the melody that’s in my head The lights burst forth again, announcing that the song was almost over. She tilted back her head and let the sound free from wherever it had been waiting inside. (When the night comes) It’s a part of me no one will never know (And no one knows) And midnight comes and I know I'm on my own (I can feel it) It’s a part of me no one will ever see (I've got my private radio) It's a part of me no one will ever leave be My private radio (Gotta get a little) My private radio (Gotta get a little) My private radio As the last few scats faded and the song ended abruptly with the last crescendo of violin, she held the microphone at hip level and gave the audience one last pose. After holding it for ten seconds, she relaxed into the applause from the spectators. But it didn’t really matter. They would applaud no matter what- the only applause that really mattered was in the private radio in her head, and Bellemere had been tuned in the entire time. -- ~Kanthia |
