Darn, I knew you'd pick me first. Well, I'll try. Ace was asleep when he heard his anme called. It took a few calls until he woke up. He tried to figure out where he was, all he saw was a huge curtain. Then he remembered. "Yeah, that One Piece Idol thing is today. Looks like I'm up. Now what was the song I was going to sing?" He said thinking for a moment. "Believe it was Alive. Yeah, that's it....now how'd it go? Everyday is a day new..." he said trying to remember the lyrics. Suddenly the curtains opened and he was standing in front of a large crowd of people. "Just have smile and go with it then" He whispered to himself as the tune began to play. He tilted his hat down and began to sing. "Everyday is a new day! I’m thankful for every breath I take, I won’t take it for granted! So I learn from my mistakes! It’s beyond my control, sometimes it’s best to let go, Whatever happens in this lifetime! So I trust in love! You have given me peace of mind!" He began to add a bit of fire for effect. He spread his arms turned them to a drooping fire that looked quite a bit like wings and raised them. "I...I feel so alive, for the very first time! I can’t deny you! I feel so alive! I...I feel so alive, for the very first time! And I think I can fly!" He raised his fire arm/wings and turned his waist down into a fire-like jet and flepped his arm/wings and took off into the air still singing. He shot a fireball into the air and made it explode and stay there in the shape of a sphere. It looked like a huge bright sun. He was really enjoying this. "Sunshine upon my face! A new song for me to sing! Tell the world how I feel inside! Even though it might cost me everything! Now that I know this, so beyond, I can’t hold this, I can never turn my back away! Now that I’ve seen you, I can never look away!" He went back down to the stage and raised a huge fire wall around him. Some parts of the wall were very low and some were high. He lowered the one in front of him facing the crowd. His face was brightened by the fire and his huge grin that slowly disappeared as the tune slowed. "Now that I know you, I could never turn my back away... Now that I see you, I could never look away... Now that I know you, I could never turn my back away... Now that I see you, I believe no matter what they say!" Now his grin was back and bigger than ever. He sang out loud and turned his whole body into fire. He swirled it into mesmerizing shapes while his voice boomed out so loud every word he said echoed. "I...I feel so alive, for the very first time! I can’t deny you! I feel so alive! I...I feel so alive, for the very first time! And I think I can fly!" He this time gathered all his fire up and shot himself into the air where it seemed to explode. It was extremely bright and in it's place was a giant bird made of fire. The bird flew in spirals, circles, and spins leaving a glittering flame trail behind it that eventually disappeared, but it just kept flying and singing continued. "I...I feel so alive, for the very first time! I can’t deny you! I feel so alive! I...I feel so alive, for the very first time! And I think I can fly!" With this the giant bird flew to the stage and all the fire went to a human shape and Ace was standing there grinning as the song went off. Please tell me I didn't over do it. If I did, then I shall bang myself on the head many times to get this song out of my head. If you want the song, go here. |

OOC: You did fine, though the fire effects were a bit cheesy and the song link probably should have come BEFORE I read through the thing, I was picturing a far different tune. --- Digitaldreamer watched the stage blankly for a few moments, holding her black pen between her teeth. Finally after a few moments she took it out and began rolling it between her fingers, then ran a hand through her blonde hair and snorted. “Wow, we didn’t have to use fire extinguishers for all the cheesy special effects. Tell me, were you going for the badass image or the carefree image? Because you failed at both, you came off as a psychopathic pyromaniac, nice job.” She drawled in a heavy British accent. “It sounds from the music choice that you wanted to come off as badass, but the lyrics don’t reflect it…and the whole fire thing was just corny. You may want to tone it down a bit…the song itself fit well, though it doesn’t exactly fit my taste in music.” “Nothing spectacular, and overall it was a rather overplayed performance. I give you a 7.3. Might want to turn down the fireworks next time.” She declared, taking a sip of her coke. |

The effects were horribly cheesy, it was like watching a thirteen year old trying to headbang to Metallica while playing with matches. You know, because being a pyro is considered 'cool'!" She declared, rolling her eyes. |

Digi scowled as she caught the iced tea can, then crushed it a bit with her fist. "Yes, I know it's his damn power! Doesn't mean he can't overplay it!" She said, drumming her fingers on the table. "It was nice, yes, but it's the kind of thing you see in some stupid middle school talent show, not on a show searching for the newest star of the Grand Line!" She glanced back at Ace and rose an eyebrow. "Out of curiousity, are you some kind of hippie? Because you act kind of like a drugged up hippie...not that it's an insult or anything, I'm just wondering...and what's up with the Crocodile Hunter get-up?" She inquired with a small smirk. |

Chibi sighed as the bantering started. She wore a bright smile on her face, however. She hadn't expected she'd have to keep the peace already. She glanced at Digi and Maple out of the corner of her eye, shaking her head a little. She pushed some of her hair back and leaned forward, grinning at Ace. "I think both of them have valid points. I think you may have overplayed the fire a bit for this song. But you sang well, and you looked like you were having a great time up there! That's always a good thing, if you can give the audience what it wants and enjoy yourself, you're well on your way to being a star. Just remember to fit things together more carefully next time. 8.7." As she finished her little speech to Ace, she turned on her chair to glare at the bickering duo. "Ay, no throwing things at other judges!" she exclaimed, folding her arms across her chest, smile replaced by a thin frown. -- Averaged Score: 8.4 |
