So here, I'll post what I made for this game back when I was Luffy...keep in mind you don't have to get this detailed about it, but the more detail and feeling you put into it, the better. --- Luffy peeked out from behind the stage curtain, eyes wide with excitement. “WOW! There’s so many people here! SO COOL!” He gasped, face practically glowing. The rubber pirate turned back to glance at his Navigator, grinning from ear to ear. “Are they really all here just to hear us all sing!?” Nami nodded. “They’re here for One Piece Idol, it’s this strange show that’s been sweeping all over the Grand Line! There’s a bunch of contestants and they take turns singing songs. After a person sings a bunch of judges judge them, and then after the show the judges pick one person to kick out! At the end of the contest there will be only one winner, and that person will be crowned as the One Piece Idol!” Luffy stared blankly at her before grinning and snapping his fingers. “So it’s a Mystery contest!” The orange-haired navigator groaned. “You didn’t listen to a word I just said, did you?” Luffy was again focused on that crowd. “Hey, that guy in the second row has a really funny nose! How cool!” Nami scowled, grabbing Luffy by the ear and tugging him back behind stage. “Don’t go out on stage until it’s your turn, IDIOT!” She hissed. ”But they’re selling meat out there! I’d rather be eating meat than doing this, this is boring!” Luffy whined. “Why do I have to be in this contest?” ”Because the winner gets three hundred million belli!” Nami said, her eyes becoming belli signs as she spoke. ”So that’s why you decided to enter us all in this stupid thing, so you’d have more of a chance of getting the money.” Zoro muttered from his spot against the wall. ”That’s right!” Nami chirped, making an “OK” sign with her hand. ”Ah~! Nami-san is so wonderful when she’s manipulating people for her own gain!” Sanji swooned. Nami nodded, turning back to Luffy…however, the rubber pirate was gone, once again peeking out of the curtain. The navigator growled as she pulled the childish captain back. “STAY HERE UNTIL IT’S YOUR TURN!” She roared. ”But they have meat…I want meat…” Luffy whined. Nami sighed, massaging her temples. “Look Luffy. If you go out there too early, you’ll get disqualified. If you get disqualified, you won’t win. If you don’t win, you won’t become the One Piece Idol…which is sort of like being Pirate King, only with um…singing.” Luffy’s eyes widened. “REALLY!?” Nami nodded. ”COOL! I’M GONNA BE THE ONE PIECE IDOL!” Luffy cheered, punching his fist into the air. ”Right! Now Luffy, the song you’re supposed to sing is ‘Get Happy’ by Marika Matsumoto. You love that song, remember?” Nami said. Luffy frowned. “…Isn’t that Rikku from Final Fantasy X’s image song?” ”Yeah! You love that song, remember!? You just have to go out there and sing it!” ”…But Rikku’s a girl!” Luffy made a face. ”Oh don’t worry, it’s not a girly song. It fits you perfectly, it’ll be fine!” Nami said with a dismissive wave of her hand. ”And now for our next contestant, the man who plans on becoming Pirate King, Monkey D. Luffy!” The host’s voice called from the stage. ”Well, you’re on! Go get em’, tiger!” Nami cried as she pulled off Luffy’s hat so she could place a microphone headset on him, then replaced the hat and shoved the boy onstage. ”Wha- wait a sec…GAH!” Luffy yelped as he was shoved onstage. He tripped and fell on his face in the middle of the stage, which was bathed in bright light. The boy stood and brushed himself off, blinking into the crowd. He laughed and waved. “Um, hi there!” He chirped. “Um…I’m Monkey D. Luffy! It’s nice to meet you all!” The crowd remained completely silent. This made them seem a bit boring, so Luffy focused on the floor. It sure was shiny! Though to the audience, it appeared as if he were deliberately lowering his head, the rim of him hat overshadowing his eyes. The lights dimmed a bit to become a calming, soothing blue as a bit of soft, high notes began to play. It had a sort of calming, relaxed feeling to it, with the occasional bit of bass playing in the background. It was rather misleading, as if this was supposed to be a slow, relaxed song… And those who believed that were quite surprised as a loud, bouncy, loud sort of tune began to play. It had a sort of snappy beat to it, as if someone were constantly snapping their fingers to it. It made you want to snap your fingers right along with it, made you want to get up and dance around! The moment the tune began the lights became bright and cheerful, with tints of yellow, orange, and red flooding the stage. Luffy immediately found himself raising his head (placing a hand on his hat to keep it in place) and tapping his foot, bopping his head to the beat as he began to snap his fingers with his free hand. To the audience it looked as though it were part of the act, but really Luffy had nothing planned. The music just made him want to do this, and that was what he did. And when the part came where he was supposed to sing, Luffy smiled and did just that. ”Donna oo-ki yume da ette! Gyutto, chi-ka-ra wo awasereba!” He was singing in Japanese, but a screen up above was displaying a translation for those who couldn’t understand. (If we tightly pool our strength together No matter how big the dream!) ”Kitto itsu ka, kitto itsu ka! Sou sa kanau mono da yo! Motto minna, motto minna! HAPPY ni nareru n’ da yo!” (Surely someday, surely someday That's right, it'll come true! We can be, we can be Much more happy!) ”Chotto yuuutsu na ame no hi mo, (“Yeah, get happy!”) shanto senobi shite arukereba, (“Yeah, get happy!”) tooi kumo no sukima ni ima, o-hi-sama ga mieru yo!” (If I can walk with my head held high (“Yeah, get happy!”) Even on the gloomy rainy days (“Yeah, get happy!”) I'll now be able to see the sun From between the distant clouds!) ”Sou yo!” (That’s right!) At these words, the music took up a different rhythm, going up in down in tones like one hitting the first four keys on an instrument, then going back down these keys in reverse order, then back up over and over again. The moment this started Luffy began to dance. He couldn’t dance very well, but it didn’t matter to him! The entire audience seemed to have faded away, leaving only him and the music. Why should it matter what people thought of his dancing as long as he was happy? ” Mainichi dokidoki to wakuwaku sagasou! Ryoute ni ippai no kibou, dakishimete! Choppiri nakitai you na kibun wa sutechae! Kimi ga waraebak, hora kyou mo shiawase!” (That's right, let's seek out fun and excitement every day While tightly embracing handfuls of hope Throw away that feeling of wanting to cry a little If you smile then look, I'm happy again today!) ”Mainichi tokimeite ukiuki shichau yo, senaka ni ippai hi no hikari wo abite! Kokoro ni afuredasu kimochi uketomete kimi ga waraeba hora watashi shiawase!” (Everyday I'll be cheerful and flourish With my back fully awash in the sunlight If you take hold of the feelings overflowing In your heart and smile then look, I'm happy!) Luffy stopped singing for a moment, continuing to dance as he began to speak. “Got a problem that’s on your mind? Why waste time worrying about it!? Life’s too wonderful to waste on worrying, so just relax and get happy!” The music once again went back to it’s original tone. ”Hon no chiisa na koi da tte, kyunto mune ga takanaru kara! Kitto itsu ka, kitto itsu ka! Sou yo, kanaete miseru! Motto watashi, motto watashi! HAPPY ni naritai n' da!” (Because my heart throbs sharply No matter how tiny the love Surely someday, surely someday That's right, I'll show you that I'll make it come true I want to be, I want to be Much more happy) ”honki no koi ga shitai nara, jitto matte cha dame na n' da! Kiseki da tte unmei da tte! Tsukamaete miseru wa!” (If you want to have true love You can't just wait patiently for it I'll show you that I'll seize hold of it Whether if it's a miracle or it's fate) ”Sou yo!” (That’s right!) Once again the music changed and Luffy did a little twirl, his grin brighter than the stage lights. ”Mainichi tokimeite ukiuki shichau yo Senaka ni ippai hi no hikari wo abite! Kokoro ni afuredasu kimochi uketomete Kimi ga waraeba, hora watashi shiawase!” (That's right, everyday I'll be cheerful and flourish With my back fully awash in the sunlight! If you take hold of the feelings overflowing In your heart and smile then look, I'm happy!) ”Mainichi dokidoki to wakuwaku sagasou! Ryoute ni ippai no kibou dakishimete! Luffy finally stopped dancing, settling back to once again snapping his fingers and tapping his toes. ”Yeah, get happy!” He spun around in place, laughing just because it was a fun thing to do. ”Yeah, get happy!” The music finally ended with a final few snaps. ”YEAH, GET HAPPY!” Luffy cheered, punching his fists in the air. The entire audience erupted into applause. Luffy cocked his head to the side as he watched people cheer, looking confused. There was an audience? He hadn’t even noticed. Ah well, no reason to worry about it. All he had to do was smile and wave as he walked off stage.
