Two months? Two months was about the period of time it took the rock in that book she had been reading to make its way to the edge of a cliff and fall over to commit suicide (which it hadn't, because it was actually an Eagle egg and hatched on its way down). Which was a long time, but that was okay. Once she had been stuck in Perfect Girl Evolution after Sunako had run off with her retun thingie and was forced to join the hoards of Kyohei fangirls until she could get it back... Which took about a week and a half. Two months was much longer than that. And by the end of the week and a half, her brains were falling out of her ears. She was so excited. "All right!" She pumped a fist into the air. "Let's do this!" -- Nami folded up her newspaper and walked into the galley with it tucked under her arm. According to the gossip section, Zoro and Sanji had been caught doing what men in love do, and the picture supporting it had come from about a week ago when Zoro had been sleeping on the side of the road in some random town they were visiting and Sanji had tripped over his leg. That had been rather messy. Inside, she watched with passing interest as Usopp and Chopper cleaned up for Sanji. Nodding to Sanji, she left the paper on the table and scooted out and up to the mikan grove. The feeling of the fruit in her teeth was incredible. They were getting pretty ripe- she'd have to harvest soon...or perhaps even today. "OI! GUYS!" She yelled with a ring of 'do as I say and no-one gets hurt' in her voice, "It's time to harvest the mikan!" -- Open tags. ~Kanthia |

Once Nami shouted her information, Usopp and Chopper finished their cleaning, and they plopped to the ground, exhausted. It didn't appear like they were in any mood to assist the navigator with her harvesting... ...and neither was Robin. She licked one of her fingers and turned a page, continuing to read her book. --- Chrisanthy nodded, "Then, without further ado, I do believe you are ready to head off!" She stood, "I'm really sorry I couldn't ask Digital Dreamer to come and help you guys, but she's really busy supressing a riot in the Legend of Zelda worlds. I'm sure that after she's done with that, you'll be able to join in any Task Force Mission I need from you! "Oh, yes," The general continued, looking at a few papers, "I was actually having some trouble thinking up an Activation Quote to activate the pendant," She handed the pendant to Saiyako after she mentioned this fact, "And my brother decided it should be 'Pretty Make Up', because it looked like something Sailor Moon would make." Looking up, she shrugged, "What? It seemed funny at the time..." Sighing, she stood up and waved her hand, "Just say the Activation Quote, and it'll take you four to Midori Island... I wish you luck, and may you be blessed with a great mission outcome!" --- Tag to Saiyako, who now has the pendant. |

“Mikan?” Luffy repeated, turning from his spot at the figure head to blink at Nami. “Does that mean we get to actually eat them!? AWESOME!” He cried, hopping down in an instant. His sandles with the wooden deck with a light ‘thump’ as he glanced up at the trees with a grin. He really liked mikan, so it made him sad that Nami never let him go near her grove of them. But maybe since they were harvesting them now he could eat them! That’d be great! They’d probably go great with meat! Of course, in Luffy’s opinion everything went great with meat… --- Open taggu |

Harvest the mikan? Zoro pretended to still be asleep as he thought about this. He hated taking orders from Nami, and besides, he needed his sleep. On the other hand, he wasn't sleeping well this morning as it was, and if he was harvesting the mikan, maybe he could get a chance to steal some without Nami beating him up for it. And if he didn't offer to help, she'd probably beat him up anyway. With a groan, he opened his eyes. "Fine." Open tag. ----------------------- Saiyako held the pendant as though it was some sort of horribly, disgustingly cute thing... like a Sailor Moon plushie... and stared at Chrisanthy. "Pre - " she started to repeat the code in disbelief, then stopped herself. It wouldn't do to activate the thing prematurely, after all... "And you went with that? It's done now, though, I guess," she sighed as she put the pendant on, and stood, holding out her hands to RoseBelle and Samma. "You guys ready?" Tag to the rest of the Task Force. OOC: Christy, I'm assuming you need physical contact for the pendants to work? And Kanthia... pft. Like Zoro would ever let Sanji be on top.  Edit: Hey, that last paragraph is a lot less confusing with the quote mark in the right place, ne? |

Trotting up to Saiyako, she placed a hand on one of the Fangirl's pant loops without a word. She WAS that small, after all. She yawned a bit and waved at Chrisanthy, who was still writing furiously. The three could see now that she wasn't even writing anything important. Apparently she writing a romance about some thief named Locke and a "Magi Knight" named Celes. Kanthia nodded to Saiyako, who held the pendant (which looked kind of expensive but totally awesome at the same time). "Let's do this! Kanthia is totally, totally psyched to go into One Piece Land!" She put a hand on Saiyako's shoulder and got bored about two seconds later. "Oi, can you hurry up a little?" -- "USOPP! CHOPPER!" Nami had walked into the galley, looking for the large baskets she had bought a while ago to hold the mikan. "Don't just lie there, come help! Chopper and Usopp looked at each other as they sat in the galley, catching their breath. They cringed at Nami as she entered, yelling at them. Chopper looked at Usopp, his eyes wide, "Doing nothing is chargable?" He gave a squeak and leapt up, rushing out of the galley by Nami's side, nearly tripping her up as he ran outside quickly. Usopp sighed a bit and he stood up, dusting himself off. With a sigh, he lowered his head and followed Chopper outside, looking rather dejected. Not a moment was able to be spent resting... and yet the OTHER half of the crew was always resting! Of course, he WOULD stand up about it... but... it was safer to just do the work... By the time Usopp reached Chopper, the little reindeer had already filled half a basket, "Look!" He said proudly, motioning towards the mikan in the basket, "I'm working so hard!" Usopp simply smiled at his friend as he helped the reindeer finish the basket. --- Open Tag. |

As exasperating as Kanthia's impatience was, Saiyako couldn't help but grin at the younger girl's enthusiasm. "Hold up a moment there, Kanthia-chan, we can't leave Rose behind." ------------- Zoro moved over to work on the far side of the mikan grove as Usopp and Chopper came out, not wanting to be in Nami's way when she started yelling again. Not that he was scared of her or anything... it was just safer, that was all. (Of course, the swordsman absolutely refused to consider any connection between fear and concern for his safety.) "Everyone ready?" Saiyako glanced at the others once more to be sure, then took hold of the pendant and closed her eyes, grimacing again at the words she had to say. "Pretty Make Up." And then there were no more words as she felt the familiar sensation of elementary particles shifting around her and spacetime opened up to let them through the gap between worlds. --------- Zoro glared at the cook from his safe spot behind the trees. For a moment, the One Piece Task Force could feel absolutely nothing as they silently disappeared, but soon felt ground beneath them, and wind ruffling their cloths and hair. They had arrived on the outskirts of an island, as appearing right in the middle of its port town. Almost immediately, Vivian pulled out her Analyzer 2 and began pressing buttons on it. "It appears this is a Fall Island called Guild Island. There are various gangs, each called guilds, that are constantly in civil war in the town below. It's dangerous to become friends with people in town, as you could be hurt by natives for being friends with the wrong guild. "Other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything really dangerous here," She looked up at the group and shrugged, "We're on our own from here on out. My suggestion is we find some way to transport ourselves from island to island, and perhaps find out how to earn us a bit of their currency, which is..." She ran the Analyzer again, "Berri? Beli? Ber..." She smacked the Analyzer as it began to smoke, and sighed, "It broke down trying to figure out how it really is spelt, I don't think we can ask it anything for a day or two..." Placing the Analyzer back in her robes, she looked at her group, "So... Who's leading us around?" She asked, "It's certainly NOT me." --- It was, at that very moment, as the Straw Hats were picking Mikan, Nami suddenly noticed something on the horizon. She couldn't tell if it was anything of importance, because she didn't have a spyglass on her hands at the moment, as someone (Usopp or Luffy, probably) had most likely left it up in the Crow's Nest. --- Open Tag. |

"We should..." She paused. It smelled really nice here- and her head was spinning a little from the pure-ish oxygen. Nothing like the city. The oxygen was travelling to her brain and making her a little hyper. "We should GO EAT SOME PEOPLE!" She jumped around in a circle, happier than a starfish with six arms. "Saiyako-san, can we go to the city and do some stuff? Oh, it's going to be totally cool! Kanthia is really, really excited!" She continued jumping around in a circle, and soon it turned into the "Kanthia is really, really excited" dance. -- "Sanji-kun! Zoro! Stop argu-" Nami paused. There was a little line extending upwards from the horizon, which could only mean one thing. As the realization hit her, they entered the new climate- it grew cooler almost instantly, and there was a crisp scent in the air of dying leaves. "Ah!" She grinned and pointed to the flat line quickly turning into a hump. "That's the next island, ah- what was it- Gilded Island!" Nami's resources had been a little off. "Stop picking mikan all ready! You guys are so lazy- start getting ready to land!" -- Tag to Saiyako-san. Open tags to the Straw Hats. ~Kanthia |

Saiyako grinned as the cool wind hit her, carrying the scent of dying leaves. An Autumn island. She thought it at the same time as Vivian said it, taking a deep breath of the pure air - one of the many reasons she loved hunting in the One Piece world. She listened, just enjoying the clear air, as the Black Mage spoke, until the smoke from the Analyser reached her nose, and she choked a little. "Ugh. Maybe," she said, trying to get her breath back, "you shouldn't ask it how to spell things... Berri and beli are spelled the same in katakana, that's probably why it couldn't figure it out. And it's gonna have that problem with other Japanese words, too... And no, Kanthia, we're not gonna eat people." She stared at the dancing Canadian for a moment, suddenly thinking Kanthia and Luffy would get on really well... Then she dragged herself back to reality and ran a hand through her hair, thinking. "We're gonna need a ship of some kind. And a Log Pose. Wait, we can make a Log Pose, can't we? So that's one thing we don't have to worry about... And we need to find out if the Straw-hats have been here already - if they have, we'll have to follow them to the next island... and try to beat them there somehow. And money... anyone have any suggestions about that? It's not like the World Government sets bounties on Mary Sues." ------------------ "Lazy?" Zoro yelled. "You're the one who told us to start picking the mikan in the first place!" He did stop picking the fruit, though, and went to start furling the sails. Open tag from both. |

Rosebelle kicked happily at some nearby fallen leaves. "I don't think finding if they have been here is going to be hard. They seem to leave quiet an impression. I suggest we don't worry about a boat until we know if they have left here or not. The local pub is always a good place to gather information about piratical goings on. Chances are at least Zoro would go there. Let's try the pub. Maybe we can look at the shops on the way?" Rosebelle smiled at Kanthia. Open tag -- "I love it when Nami-san takes charge! Luffy glanced up from the mikan that he had been trying to smuggle into his red vest. "A new island!?" He cried, forgetting all about the mikan and rushing across the deck, dropping fruit everywhere as he ran. He finally settled upon the figurehead, a bundle of excitement as he stared at the island ahead with wide eyes. Work? What is this "work" that you speak of?
