Yey! Forgotten Angels is utterly suge, Digtaldreamer-odono! Name: Sannel Striper Age: 16 Gender: Boy Race/Species: Human Dis. Marks: His Occultic, the Byul Soojung, and his mouth cover that indicates nobility of Worldship. Anime/Manga: Worldship (Yey!!) Family: He has two average parents and a brother named Reyto who moved away eight years ago to join the Marines. Likes: When he was younger, he enjoyed using his imagination to make stories of fantasy. As he grew older though, his desire was stunted. (Explained in history) Dislikes: Studying science. Fav. Saying: "I don't hope to go back to my past. I hope for my future to be better than the past." Hobbies: Reading books, especially those of the fantasy genre. Phys. Weaknesses: He is vulnerable to attacks when he is charging his Illumini, and he is not good at making efficient strategies for fighting. Phys. Strengths: He can charge his Illumini to perform attacks stronger than his basic set of moves. His attack Dallyo also allows him to dash quickly within an area. Power: He can enfuse Kashi to his Occultic, which takes less than two seconds, or to his own body, which is done in an instant. Sort of like Oversoul and integration from Shaman King, but Kashi is not a ghost. When Sannel enfuses Kashi to his own body, he can use the Dallyo, which was explained above and is both an attack and a manuevering technique. Weapon: Sannel uses an Occultic, a magic weapon in the Worldship serires that is activated when a Saokashi is enfused with it and takes the form of an ivory hilt when not in use. All Occultics use Illumini ("Il-loo-mi-nai) as an energy source, and the amount of Illumini one has depends on their stamina, so it's like mana from Shaman King. Of course, when all Illumini is used up, the Occultic returns to its neutral form. Sannel's Occultic, the Byul Soojung, uses the power of light, and looks like a long crystal on a hilt. It is actually one of the most powerful Occultics of the Worldship nobility. Phys. Description: I have a picture I made on the Otaku Avatar Maker: Sannel on the beach near his home Height is 5"11', weight is 128 lbs. He has cyan hair and navy eyes. Personality: He normally has a naive manner, but he does become serious in a fight. History: Before his brother left for the Marines, Sannel was obsessed with myths and fantasy stories, especially tales of entirely new worlds. He tried writing stories of his own original worlds with dragons and mystical creatures, and he shared the stories with Reyto, who gave pieces of advice to Sannel to help him improve. On the night before he moved away, Reyto told Sannel to try to make his fantasy worlds more original, more different from Earth, and the worlds he had read in books. Or to be specific, Reyto told Sannel to try giving his worlds different science from Earth. Sannel was not very good at studying science, but he started trying anyway with determination. In the following months however, he focused too hard on creating an imaginary world, and his grades started falling. Then he turned his attention away from his writing to improve his grades, but he still struggled in science, which discouraged him and the series of conflicts led to a decline of his imagination. Eight years later, he just wished for an imaginary world to exist. Then one day And I must go off to die practically now. I will finish this tomorrow. |

For those of you that haven't seen me around before(and that'd be quite a few), you can call me Kaya, and I'm a friend of Crys(Digi to you folks) and Duo. Crys told me about this role-play and I decided to join.... so, hello everyone, please take good care of me and my character! *bows* Oh, and Crys, like that other girl said(at least, I really hope that was a girl...), it's not a bad title so-much as overused-ish. I still like it, corny or no. ;P Name: Flent *doesn't remember his last name(oh how cliche`), but goes by the last name Walter* Age: 26 (is often mistaken for 40-something due to hair color and tired expression) Gender: Male Race: Human Distinguishing Marks: Seemingly permanent circles under his eyes, and his eyes almost seem to glow in the dark. Origin: Original~ Steal and die. <3 Family: Doesn't know or remember Likes: ANY sweet food(except alcohol, he never got into drinking), sleeping, his old pick-up truck, and generally relaxing in his puke-colored easy chair. He also has a love of animals. Dislikes: ANY food that isn't sweet, bright lights, doctors, loud noises, and stress. Physical Weaknesses: Photosensitive eyes Physical Strengths: None, except his innate ability to move noiselessly and sneak up on people. It's not like he tries to. Powers: To be seen. ;3 Weapon: A small, slightly curved blade on each wrist, they're normally hidden inside his wristbands. He also takes to wearing steel-toed boots. Physical Description: Flent stands at about 6'8'', with dark gray hair that varies in length from lock to lock. Said hair, no matter the measures taken, always looks unkempt and wild. His eyes are a warm brown most of the time, but turn more of an amber-ish, almost gold, hue in poor lighting. He can be most often found wearing a black trenchcoat, made of thick, black cotton rather than the typical leather, which has a few dozen pockets hidden in its folds. He also wears black, fingerless gloves and aforementioned wristbands, again cotton instead of leather. His shirts and pants vary from day-to-day, but are all plain and dark in coloration. All his clothing also seems to be wrinkled all the time. His boots are black, steel-toed, laced up front, and the only article of clothing he owns that is actual leather. He also owns a pair of rarely-used, heavy-duty sunglasses, for those times he can't avoid going out into the blinding daylight. Personality: Flent, all of his strange quirks of habit aside, is a nice, easy-going guy. As the oldest(human) occupant of the boarding house, he takes it upon himself to be the responsible, level-headed one of the group and a role model for the younger teens. Well, one-half out of two isn't that bad.... Flent avoids violence and confrontations whenever possible, and never really seems to get angry. The closest he comes to is a sort of half-asleep, bleary-eyed disgruntled glare if one happens to awaken him while he was sleeping. And no matter how much sleep he gets, Flent always comes off as tired, but sleep really has nothing to do with it.... History: Flent's past is being withheld for plot reasons. Digi would like to add that she says, "Ha, I know something you all don't know~! Because I'm the GM and-*gets hit by anti-ego stick thrown by random player* OOOWWW! Er....trust me, it's good that you all don't know so you can be surprised and...stuff.....ow, that really hurt." |

Okay guys, for fun here's Luffy's profile just so you get an idea of the character. Yaaay~! Name: Monkey D. Luffy Age: 17 Race/Species: Human/??? Distinguishing Marks: Scar below his left eye that he inflicted on himself when he was thirteen to prove he was tough. A white scar in the shape of a starburst over his chest. Two black angel wings tattooed on his black over his shoulder blades, as well as runes all over his back which he apparently remembers getting with Ace for fun. Anime/manga from: One Piece Family: Mother and father (Deceased, names unknown) Khalador Kuro (Foster father, deceased) Shanks (Other foster father, also deceased) Portagas D. Ace (Older brother, missing, maybe dead.) Likes: Food (Especially meat), friends, adventure, Zoro, video games, and shiny things. Dislikes: Being hungry, mean people, school, boring things, and his friends getting hurt. Fav. Saying: “Yosh!” “Wow, that’s so cool!” “That was fun!” Hobbies: Eating, looking for adventures, playing with friends, trying (and failing) to draw, and just being a hyperactive insane nutcase. Physical Weaknesses and strengths: Luffy is dumb. Well, not dumb, really, just lacks common sense and has the attention span of a flea. If he doesn’t eat, Luffy becomes very weak, same goes for drinking water. In the same token, just give him some food and regardless of what injuries he’s sustained Luffy will be right back up. Luffy cannot be crushed, at least not as far as we know. Normal punches or blows do not effect him, however particularly powerful attacks from formidable opponents may injure him and cause bleeding. Normal bullets will also bounce away from Luffy’s body harmlessly however, since rubber may be cut or sliced, Luffy may also be cut. Oddly enough, something about Luffy’s powers makes it so if he falls into the ocean or any sort of salt water, he’ll become paralyzed and lose all of his strength, and none of his powers will work. In that same vein, Luffy is powerless when in the presence of Seastone, a unique metal that emits the same type of energy as the ocean and therefore has the same effect as being in water for him. Huzzah.. Luffy is extremely strong. When I say extremely strong, I mean extremely strong. As in he can break though fifty feet of solid bedrock with his fists if he needs to. Good for him. Powers (If any): Can stretch like rubber. Weapon: None, just his fists. Physical Description: Luffy is rather tall and lanky, and from the looks of things he isn’t very muscular. Oddly enough, he has a six pack. (No, we don’t know why. It’s kind of freaky, you’d think he wouldn’t have one from how thin and little he is, yet he does. O_o I blame Oda-sensei.))He is extremely tan because he likes to spend a lot of time outside. He has short spiky black hair that is always a bit messy, though usually you can only see his bangs and the very back of his hair since he’s always wearing a straw hat. The straw hat is old and very beat up with a red ribbon tied around it. His eyes are rather large and just plain black in color. Luffy wears a baggy hooded t-shirt that practically hangs off of his skinny frame. The hood itself is white, and then the top part of the shirt and the sleeves is bright red. The bright red cuts off for plain white, the words “Pirate King” printed on the front of the shirt with the number “01” on it in the same red. The tips of his sleeves are red too. Worn underneath this shirt is a long-sleeved white shirt, the sleeves so long that they cover Luffy’s palms. The ends of these sleeves are a yellowish orange. He also wears a pair of baggy khaki’s, held up with a double-holed studded belt. Finally, he wears red sneakers on his feet. Personality: You really would not think he was a junior at the local high school, Yume High, if you were to look at him. Luffy may be seventeen, but he acts like a big kid. He’s very easily amused and is amazed by almost anything that moves. He’s constantly pointing out something that maybe he’s seen before but just today it’s one of those amazing things. Luffy loves life and the adventures it brings, and often he’ll smile and laugh just because he can. The boy is incredibly energetic, often literally bouncing off the walls. He’s always bugging someone, trying to get them to play with him. He’s very innocent, understanding little of what goes around him and having no taint of evil in his heart, he’s a very kind-hearted person. But Luffy has a serious side too. If he sees anyone being hurt or treated unjustly, he won’t stand for it, especially if that person is his friend. If any of his friends are hurt, Luffy gets mad. A really, truly angry Luffy is a scary sight to behold. That childish, innocent boy melts away to reveal a very dangerous man. If you hurt his friends he’ll hunt you down and won’t stop til’ he finds you and kicks your ass. Luffy is usually very open and carefree. He has a very optimistic nature and doesn’t let the little things bother him. So when everyone else is dreading something he gets very excited. Danger is what he lives for, and he likes to fight. It seems as if he doesn’t care about much, but he has the ability to become serious if he needs to, especially during fights. If he tells you something when he’s serious then he means it. He doesn’t act serious for nothing. Luffy cares deeply about everyone he meets and all the friends he makes. Once Luffy becomes attached to someone he will do anything in his power to help him or her. Luffy, while a good person, is rather violent. Usually violence is the way he solves things, and while he may use words it’s usually delivered with a punch. Though generally when this happens the person on the receiving end deserved what they got. Luffy can seem very stupid, but he’s really not. He just has a really short attention span and no common sense. Generally if a situation is being explained to him he’ll zone out, but not because he’s being un-caring, but because he’s already chosen what he believes is right and doesn’t need to be told anything else. He doesn’t need to know your back story to know you’re a good person, he just knows. You would never be able to tell it from meeting him, but Luffy has the ability to figure out the most basic problem with almost any situation and find out what needs to be done about it, while everyone else tends to ignore it. He always acts so carefree and clueless, but he can just follow his instincts and he’ll come up with the right thing to say. Luffy’s determination is what really makes his character shine. He’s not afraid of anything, even death. This determination inspires many people around him to stand up for what they believe in. He makes his beliefs clear and will never give up on them. In fights, his determination intimidates his opponents. Every time you knock him down he jumps back up. He is extremely confident in his skills and will never walk away from a fight. History: Luffy had a fairly happy childhood; he lived in a small house with his mother and his older brother, Ace. He never met his father, as he died a few months before he was born, but his mother and Ace always told him that he was a very kind man who loved to laugh. Really, most of his childhood is just a blur. He doesn’t even remember the last time he saw his mother, he just remember’s a car crash… He sometimes wondered if that was how they died, but he never really dwelled on it. The first thing Luffy remember’s after that is waking up in the middle of an alleyway on a particularly dark and stormy night in the arm of a man named Shanks. I say ‘arm’ because apparently Shanks only had his right arm, his left was just a bloody stump when Luffy awoke. Oddly enough, the mystery as to how the arm was lost was never revealed to the boy and he never felt the need to pry about it. If he did ask, the answer was always “It was a small price to pay.” and that was all Luffy ever got. Luffy finds this memory rather strange, as he swears he was much younger in the car crash, but again he assumes it probably isn’t that important. That night Shanks took Luffy and fled the city, using just about every means of transportation to get as far away from that part of the country as possible. When Luffy asked why, the only answer he got was “It’s for your safety, kid. Don’t worry about it.” Eventually they reached a medium sized city and settled in a small house in the back streets of the town. As Luffy was apparently now orphaned and had no other family, Shanks took care of him. He never really officially adopted the boy, but he was the closest thing to a father Luffy ever had. Luffy lived with him for many years and Shanks taught him many things, how to fight, school things, etc, etc. He was taught never to stray too far from the back streets of the town though, and if he did to not use his power and stay hidden. Life was good for several years. Luffy loved living with Shanks, and he made several friends. But his best friend ended up being Roronoa Zoro, who lived in the apartment next to them, Luffy stuck to Zoro like glue the moment he moved in, and eventually the rubber tag-along grew on the swordsman. The two went just about everywhere together and were fiercely loyal to each other, so close they were practically brothers. Together they were impossible to beat in a fight, and were considered the greatest fighters in town. Yes, things were definitely good. Then, on Luffy’s seventeenth birthday, everything changed. That night at midnight several men clad in black attacked their house. They shot down Shanks at the front door right in front of Luffy’s eyes. Before the boy could even register what happened, he felt a sharp pain in his head and everything went black. When Luffy next woke up, he once again found his entire life had changed. He was lying in the front seat of Zoro’s car, and seemed to rushing down an empty high way to God knows where. When Luffy asked what had happened, Zoro explained that Shanks was dead and with his dying words had asked the swordsman to take Luffy somewhere far and take care of him. To try and live as normal of a life as possible. ”Live a normal life, huh? So where are we going? Is there really a place where we can have regular lives?” Luffy has asked, perking up in his seat. ”….I don’t know.” They drove across the country for about a month, searching for a place to stay. But if they weren’t automatically turned away for having little to no money, they were usually kicked out after discovering Luffy’s “condition” and how it and Zoro just tended to scare people away. Finally, on a stormy night just like that one six years ago, their car crashed. It flipped over several times and crashed into a tree. The car was totaled, but luckily enough the people inside were not. Luffy ended up being knocked unconscious, so Zoro ended up dragging himself and the rubber teen out of the wreckage, only to discover his car had crashed not too far from a city. Before he knew it, he was standing there, drenched in rain and covered in cuts and bruises, an unconscious Luffy in his arms. Standing on the front steps of Sakura no Yume. --- Right, I'll post Hikaru's tomorrow... |

Okay, here's a writing sample. I hope I wrote enough... Leon came back to the boarding house late in the afternoon. He thought about yelling "honey, I'm home," but decided against it. Who was going to care anyway? He tossed his backpack onto the floor and threw himself onto the sofa, sighing. He remembered a homework assignment that was due tomorrow, but he didn't move. "I wonder how Ashley's doing with her new husband," he wondered. "Maybe I should call her on my cell phone." He looked over at his backpack on the other side of the room, which contained his phone. "Nah, I'll call her some other time." Leon turned on the t.v. and switched it to the Sci-fi Channel. "The X-Files" was on. "All right, the X-Files!" he thought to himself, watching more intently. Then, some random girl walked in, took the remote, and changed the channel to MTV's "Laguna Beach." "Oh, I'm sorry, were you watching that?" she asked, clearly making fun of him. "No,"idiot, he replied. He shut his eyes and fell asleep to the sound of teenage drama. |

I'll put up Zoro's profile after I get word back from Digi on something... And I'm also going to apply for a second character: (And oh, yeah, that title is... actually quite nice. But if it was cheese, I'd say it was cheesy enough to make mice dance.) Name: Kyo Sohma Age: 16 Gender: Male Race/Species: Human/Cat Distinguishing Marks: The beads he always wears on his left wrist. (And I mean always. There's a reason they don't come off if he can help it.) Anime/Manga/Whatever they're from: Fruits Basket. Family: A father who hates him, and who won't have anything to do with him, and an obsessively overprotective mother who died when he was young. He was raised after that by his cousin Kazuma Sohma, who's also his martial arts master. And being a Sohma, he has cousins up the wazoo... Likes: Martial arts, card games, anything competitive. Being outdoors. His foster-father Kazuma. Tohru Honda. Dislikes: His cousin Yuki, stewed leeks, miso, Yuki, schoolwork, Yuki, chocolate, anything girly, Yuki, being the cat, losing a fight (or anything else), and most of his family, especially his cousins Akito, Ayame, Momiji, Kagura, and most of all, Yuki. Fav. Saying: "This time I'm gonna beat that damn Yuki!" Hobbies: Martial arts, and trying to beat Yuki at anything he can come up with. Physical Weaknesses: He turns into a cat if his body's under stress or he's hugged by a female. If his bracelet's taken off, something worse happens... Also, he's a total klutz. Physical Strengths: He's physically pretty strong, and skilled at unarmed combat. Powers (if any): None. Weapon: Fists and feet. That's pretty much it. Physical Description: Kyo Personality: Surly, quick-tempered and impulsive. Doesn't take well to other people, and doesn't like himself much either. But if you do manage to get through to him, he can be surprisingly kind. History: Kyo's always been an outsider among the Sohma clan... He was shunned by most people because of his zodiac form, and his mother's overprotectiveness meant that he didn't get much of a chance to make friends anyway. When his mother died, his father blamed Kyo and refused to have anything to do with him. The only person willing to take him in was Kazuma Sohma, whose grandfather had been the cat before Kyo. Even Kazuma had only taken him out of a sense of duty at first, to make up for how he'd treated his grandfather, but as he spent more time with Kyo, he grew to love him, and he's one of the few people Kyo actually loves and trusts. For the last year or so, Kyo's been in the custody of another cousin, Shigure, since Kazuma thought he needed some time out in the world, outside the Sohma compound. But after Momiji ran away, Kyo went looking for him, and found himself at Sakura no Yume... I am holding a couple of things back, but I'll PM Digi about those. |

Saying: "shut up and get to work" Hobbies: training, cooking Physical Weaknesses: not so skilled in none armed combat & not used to crowded spaces Physical Strengths: skilled in armed combat, quite strong Powers (if any): none Weapon: a sword that he hides so no one came find it (sometimes he can't remember where it is) and a dagger that he keeps with him everywhere he goes Physical Description: Carl Personality: often rushes into dangerous things even though he knows it's dangerous, silly at times, can get very angry if you say the wrong thing to him, friendly, trusts his friends with his life History: he grew up with his father, when he was 5 his mother died giving birth to his little sister Abby, his father couldn't cope with caring for them so he left them in the middle of no where when he was 10 and left to protect himself & his sister, during this time he learnt to fight well. When he was 15 he joined Sakura no Yume Writing Sample: Carl who had just finished his daily walk saw a figure of a man in the distance covered by the fog that seemed to be forming from him, slow but surly the figure was advancing, as he got closer he could see him more clearly. The man stepped out of the fog the man was tall with brown hair and rather big blue eyes wearing some brown trousers, brown jacket with a cream shirt walked towards Carl “who are you?” Carl said to him, he did not answer instead he just backed away and disappeared (Hope that's enough) |

sanjis#1fan: Well....there's nothing wrong with your character, per say, but your writing could use some work. More adjectives, capitalize the word at the beginning of sentence, discribe more things. Tell me the atmosphere, the setting. What does the setting look like? Feel like? How does your character feel? Where is he going? What sort of atmosphere does this have? Work on discribing things lik that. Just work on your writing more and come back when you've improved and try again. This role-play should be lasting a -long- time, you can still join after the RP starts. --- Right, now for my other character, Hikaru. She's the owner of the boarding house, so you may want to pay attention. Physical Weaknesses: Not very fit. She's not necessarily fat and bulging, but she can’t handle things like long runs and she’s very weak when it comes to upper body strength. Physical Description: (include eye & hair color, height & weight)) Hikaru is rather short, being only an inch above five feet. She’s also rather thin, almost anorexically so. Basically, she’s a very tiny girl. Hikaru is of Asian descent and it show, mainly on her face. Her dark blue eyes are slanted and she has very high cheekbones. Her skin is rather pale because she’s often too busy to go outside very much. Her hair used to be black, but she died it a dark purple. It’s fairly long and goes just past her shoulders, tied in a very loose ponytail below her shoulder blades. She wears clips in her hair, which help hold up two black ribbons which are woven through her hair and tie it in a ponytail at the end. She wears a tight fitting black t-shirt, over which she wears a hooded jacket made of fishnet. The sleeves are so long that they cover her palms. She also wears a pair of dark denim jeans with a dark gray plaited mini-skirt worn over it. Here’s a picture, it’s kinda old and she looks a bit too young in it, but whatever....tada. Annnd here's another picture of her, also rather old.. Personality: Hikaru is an anime otaku and an artist. She’s very creative and is currently attending the local art school for a degree in storyboarding. She has her own webcomic, which is fairly popular, but because it’s so popular she has to juggle it with school and running the boarding house, thus leaving her little time to sleep. Hikaru is constantly tired and practically lives off of caffeine. Hikaru is generally very polite and seems rather wise for her age. She tries to think of things logically, so her newest boarders seem give her quite a headache with all their oddities. She tries her best to accept everyone in spite of their oddities, but really she prefers a heavy dose of normalcy. Though she is usually rather calm, a serious upset in her routine can cause her to freak out a bit. When it comes to other people, Hikaru tries her best to help in whatever way she can. Or at least, she usually does, unless you annoy her… History: Hikaru has actually lived a fairly normal life. Born in New York City to a Japanese American family, Hikaru’s had no real hardships. She had a loving family, she was always very artistic and could draw very well since a young age, and she was also rather smart. People tended to admire her for her artwork and good grades. Throughout her life Hikaru always had a group of tight-knit close friends, but after high school she moved to a different city so she could pursue her career in art. As the family owned a large boarding house in that area, they decided to fix it up and since Hikaru was down there she could run it until she had her career fully established in which case her parents would take control of the house. So Hikaru runs Sakura no Yume for the money and because it gives her free housing. So for the most part Hikaru has lived a nice, not very complicated life. Boy, is that about to change. Running a boarding house isn’t as easy as she thought it would be! Yeah, look, one of my characters doesn’t have an angsty past! |
