Well, whether you've been subject to me rambling or not, I'm somewhat obsessed with the Fire Emblem comes to come out in America. The stories aren't always the best, though Path of Radiance's has me playing as much for that as anything else, but the characters and the gameplay are typically great, not to mention that the fact that characters die permanently makes you feel especially attatched to them when you sacrifice sometimes up to an hour of play to stop them from dying. That, or you just feel REALLY pissed off that someone killed one of your important characters.

I swear this series is trying to kill me via a heart attack. Just like a Death Note! Whee! Death Note! (Go read this manga NOW if you haven't, it's online and fairly easily found, as well as avaliable in America [well, volumes 1 & 2]) Seriously, I have had characters been pushed within an INCH of death and only survive based on pure, dumb luck...

Anyway, I'm on the last level of Sacred Stones, playing around in the infinate dungeons a bit before going into the final battle, and I have no idea where I am in the first Fire Emblem to hit America (The Blazing Sword? I think it's something like that in Japan...), because I sadly got sort of bored with it back when I got it, but then I became totally obsessed with Sacred Stones, and that led right into Path or Radiance, and here I am, one obsession later.

Oh, and does the Warrior class in PoR make anyone else think of a Mongolian warlord?

Boyd: Ganghis Kahn reporting for duty, commander.

Ike: I can't put my finger on it, but Illyana seems more womanly... suddenly... Mia, too...

Boyd: Perhaps it has to do with the DRESS?

Ike: You may be right... Where's Soren? I must consult him.

Boyd: *Slaps forehead with metallic ringing sound not realizing that he's suddenly wearing a helmet and gigantic shoulder pads*

I rescind that last bit there. Those aren't shoulder pads, they're actually a FUR... um... thing... what the Hell do you call something like that anyway? Anyway, it only further goes along with the whole Mongolian thing... Anyway, to continue that...

Marcia: You think YOU'VE got problems? My pegasus just took off back home to speak with its parents because it apparently is now part UNICORN.

Astrid: Uh... commander?

Ike: Ahh... Oscar, just the man I wanted to see.

Astrid: Wha? I'm not Oscar. It's ASTRID.

Ike: Oh... right... YOU wear the white.... Oscar's... blue? No, wait... red...

Astrid, Oscar, Titania, Kieran, and all other mounted knights from PoR: *Sigh* Yeah... we get that a lot...

Ike: Anyway, Kieran, what did you want to see me about? I've got a very important matter to discuss with Soren, so if you can make it quick...

Astrid: Um... actually... I was going to suggest we all start wearing name tags, just to avoid any confusing amongst people who are covered by armor.

Ike: Don't be rediculus, Titania! I know everyone in the Grail mercenaries by armor, by voice, by the way they move! I'd never mistake you for someone else! Not in a million years!

Roy: God damn it Marth! You give me that $20 from that Melee game or I swear this sword is going up your-

Ike: *Pulls off mask to reveal Marth* No! My disguise has been penetrated! *Runs out of the room with Roy in pursuit*

Boyd and Astrid: ....

Boyd: So... does that mean that this whole game was because Marth wanted to dodge paying his debts?

Makalov (sp?): Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Speaking of which, with the boss out of the way...

Boyd: We're NOT opening a cassino!

Makalov: Aw...

Boyd: Because we're going to do a broadway musical! Greil Mercenaries! Transform and roll out!

Meanwhie...

Ike/Marth is tied up and surrounded by Roy, Kirby, Link, Samus, Fox, and Falco.

Falco: Now to find out who Marth REALLY is!

Samus: But do YOU know who it is? Think back to the clues.

Falco: Of COURSE I don't know who it is! Why ELSE would I have just said "time to find out who he is?"

Samus: Shh! I'm breaking the fourth wall over here!

Falco: The what?

Kirby: *Indiscernable noises*

Falco: Oh, right. *Pulls off mask*

All: MASTER HAND!?

Master Hand/Marth/Ike: And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids, and you anthromorphs, and your puffball!

FBI Agent: No you wouldn't have. Creating a false ID is illegal. Book im, fellas.

Fox: Boy, that's a relief. We didn't actually have anything to arrest him with anyway.

Falco: Yeah... since when was scaring someone a crime anyway?

Link: *Indiscernable shouting sound*

Everyone: *Laughs*

Okay, now that I have taken up FAR too much space... start talking about the series! I'm going to go sleep before I fall unconscious in my chair and wake up with my keyboard stuck to my forehead...

^^;

Kanthia has only the first GBA Fire Emblem game. She's taking a break from it right now because it's getting impossible, because she accidentally missed Canaan or whatever his name is and likes equality so she ahs all her guys the same level and non-jobbed up which makes most encounters really, really hard.

Though it has made her a little crazier than normal from time to time...

She likes to talk to the characters in the game. Like yelling at Dorcas' wife because she's stupid (who marries a guy named Dorcas?) and shaking it up and down and dancing while playing and making stupid descisions and then erasing two hours of game play because someone died. Squa. Her favourite characters are Rath-kun, who made her very sad because he did not come back, Nils, Niyaniyan or however you spell it, Lucius (Luuci-kun), Florina's Javelin, Matthew, Guy, Elwood and Lyndis, and there's probably more like Erk and Wil and Raven and Prisc-chan (Priscilla) and Marcus and Sain-san and Kent-kun that she likes so she'd be better off saying who she didn't like, like Dorcas and Bartre and Hector and Rebecca because she always dies and Florina because she always dies. Her favourite pairings are MattxGuy and LynxEliwood because Eliwood's so shy, it's adorably cute ^-^

Ah.
