 Nami gently pushed Zoro's hand away. The man may have known how to use force but certainly not how to apply it. She pushed in and up with precise movements so as not to damage the lungs any more, and turned to Zoro while she worked. There were...strange men with flesh hanging off them as she worked.

"I'm not going to ask where the undead came from, but it looks like they're going to keep coming. Try to help DRUMMERMAN hold them off." She turned to Sanji. "Sanji, help Zoro keep the zombies away from Luffy! Chopper," she turned to the recently awoken reindeer, "Can you help Luffy? I'm going to try to get us to port. I think there's an island there in the distance- but that definately isn't the island we were heading for." She shuddered.
"It looks as though the dream world...has a different reality."

Sanji jumped to his feet and centred his balance.
The zombies climbed over the rails, their cold green-tinged hands missing fingers but still usable. Groaning they climbed onto and deck and grunted as Sanji started driving his thick black shoes into their guts (literaly), hurling then back into the water.

But still, they kept coming...

 "Hey!" Zoro started to protest when Nami pushed his hand away, but since she seemed to know what she was doing, he decided not to press it.

He didn't balk at her orders, either, except for a mutter of "Since when are you my boss?" under his breath as he drew his swords again and turned to face the zombies.


Fighting the undead turned out to be something like fending off an army of Buggys. He could cut them to pieces easily enough, but the pieces themselves would just keep coming, not even seeming to notice. Even kicking the pieces overboard only slowed them down a little.

"How the hell do we stop these things?"
I've felt this way before. The world goes deafeningly silent. I hear my heartbeat thundering in my ears. This must truly be... the brink of death.

I hear it. The breath of his steel. A katana follows will...

All that's left... is to see if I truly have the power to cut steel.

 Sanji froze. "I know!" he turned and ran to the galley. He returned with a box of matches and a bottle of cooking oil.
He hated wasting the oil but there was no need for it if they lost to the zombies. He poured the oil over the zombies and started flicking the matches at them.
"Fire!"

 Luffy was still unconcious but thanks to Zoro he was breathing he hoped this horroid thing would stop and leave him alone.

 "Fire? But we'll burn the..." Zoro trailed off as he realised that if they didn't stop the zombies, it wouldn't matter whether Merry was intact or not.

"Right. I'll keep them away from Luffy, you keep burning them."

And he spun to cut down another zombie that had ventured a little too close to the captain for the swordsman's liking, kicking the remains toward Sanji.

 Sanji kicked the flaming zombie part that Zoro kicked to him over the side but only after
it had burned thoroughly. The oil kept the fire contained to the creatures and spared the ship more than a singed plank here and there.

"Chopper, how is Luffy?" he called over his shoulder between kicks.

 She squinted her eyes through the fog and looked at the Log Pose on her arm. it was pointing straight ahead, into the cloud of fog where she could barely see an island in the distance. "It looks like there's some small rocks and whirlpools between us and the island, but as long as I'm here, we should be okay."

Twenty seconds later she opened her eyes and cursed her built-up ability to resist sleeping drugs.
