Luke T. Smith (Kawertzeme, or, "Never Satisfied") A child at heart who only wants a little more than he'll ever get. Overly Curious (3) Can't resist the temptation to check something out without a DC 9 willpower roll. Dead Eye, Blur of the Milky Eye, Snake Skin, Open Seal. 2. Blissful Ignorance, New Face. 3. Gremlins. +Back that shit up!+ Luke was born somewhere in the lovely heart of Texas to Penateka Comanche in the 1830s. He was taught to handle horses better than and before he could walk, but so too were all of his peers. Able to spider around on a speeding horse without tack and handle a weapon was a hard-earned specialty that required sturdy strength, a mercurial dexterity, and generally knowing what the fuck you were doing. He probably never had a roof over his head until he was seventeen or so. Now, what the hell is he doing here today? He sure as hell wasn't cursed by gypsies. Anyway, Luke never liked to stay still. In fact, the big bundle of languages he knows he learned from trading, travelling, and getting his sorry ass kicked or taken captive all the way up to Canada. You'd be suprised how fast you can learn a language when you're tied up. A lovely tango in the Flux Realm ended him up in modern days, but for your sake and his, he's had about half a decade to adjust and not freak out at each passing car or modern contrivance (but there's probably no hope ever convincing him onto an elevator, ever). He's still a horrible, horrible, chauvinist, not to mention an unrepentant racist. Now, he's trying to correct this, but it was how he was raised. It's a very different mindset than your typical cross burnin' sheet-wearin' aryan pride -- not that this is some kind of justification, more like a preview into his mindset. He was taught that if someone is not related to you then they're inherently different from you, and if they're from the other side of the world, how can they be same enough to be human? What can I say? He's a product of his time. |
