![]() Maria Rivera Date: Spring 3, 10 Time: 5:30 PM ish Wearing: Click Mood: Slightly more relaxed, but still exceptionally shy Tag: Mickey "Oh.... Y-you think so? ... I don't really like it just because of that. It rhymes," she replied, not quite as red now, but still just as much on the shy side as ever. A name was something that every person had to live with for the rest of their life, and her's rhymed. She couldn't stand it! Starting to relax a bit more, Maria smiled as he began talking. "The Book of Legend? I know that... I've flipped through a few pages during my break. I work at Jed's Place, so sometimes I'll flip through the magazines by the check out counter," she replied, starting to come out of her shell a bit. But now, she had to go and put her thinking cap on. Her story? Well, that was a bit of a broad question. What exactly did he mean by that? ... Well... Maybe a good place to start would be when she started playing. That's what he started with after all. Well, here goes nothing. She took a moment to think about it and sort out ages in her head, then replied, "Well, I've been playing violin for such a long time now... I started when I was three, so... roughly eighteen years now. My parents forced me to take it up, not that I really minded though.... And then I started with piano when I was six or seven. And then I started with the flute when I was eleven I think.... And then I recently took up the guitar, but after all of that, it was really easy to learn. And well, that was that. Not too hard... And that was a story right? |

Spring 03, Year 10 5:45 p.m. Mood: Flattered and amused Tag!: Austin ![]() ”Uh...Yeah like a date. I'm glad you like the idea.” Taking Austin's words in, Natalie can't help but giggle a little bit at the awkward tone and the goofy smile accompanying it. The kid...well, he's kind of a dork. Although Natalie does certainly think that in the best way possible. Kind, funny, charming in an awkward sort of way. There would certainly be worse people in the world to spend one's time with than one Austin Moore. After all, it's not like he's some loon going around in a mask stabbing people or anything of the sort, right? ...Nah, doesn't seem to be the type. Hopefully not, anyways. Of course, there is always the possibility that Austin will spout off 'bagging and tagging you' as a possible date idea, at which point, Natalie would probably find her knee's geography to be somewhere in 'Knee to the Groin County,' but that's probably just a rampant imagination running wild there. ”Dinner at a nice restaurant on the mainland and a movie. Maybe a little walk afterwards? You know anything to get us away from the island and lets us have a night out on the town. Some fun to say farewell to those childhood years.” Nope, no groin shot for Austin. It's short. It's sweet. It's simple. It's...perfect. Something honest and straight from the heart from Austin, rather than trying to do something big and flashy, put on fancy airs and things like that. Doesn't seem to be his style, and thankfully it isn't. Truthfully, if Austin were to come out with some kind of a cheap pick up line that screams sleaze, the brunette figures she would probably spend the ten minutes after that laughing her pretty little head off. Which would cause quite a scene given the surroundings, but the way the gal figures, if a guy is dumb enough to try something tacky like that, well, they deserve a little public humiliation. “Hmm...well...” Natalie fakes pondering her answer, putting her left index fingers to her lips in mock thought. “I think that sounds like a pretty good date theme. I could definitely go for that. Food, movie, popcorn, walk. Maybe if we're lucky, we won't be crammed like sardines in the ferry going there. Since it's your idea though, I'll let you hammer out the details and get back to me. Now, I should probably be going before daddy starts wondering what's taking me forever to get home, but I do have a little something for you...” Grinning mischievously, Natalie gently and quickly turns Austin's head with her hand before planting a kiss on his left cheek. Grin firmly etched on face, Natalie finally lets go of Austin's hand and makes her way through the crowd, turning to give Austin a wink after she gets several yards away. Maybe a little forward, but hell, they've known each other for over a year. Not like she lip locked him or anything like that. Maybe after this official date. Only time will tell. ”Hopefully Daddy-o takes it well though. Hopefully he doesn't get all overprotective and all that junk...” Mood: Intrigued Tag! Maria Ah, a reader of the good Book. Well, the Book of Legend, anyways. Always nice to find someone that is familiar with his work. Even better when the person doesn't tell him that it sucks ass. Granted, it hasn't happened to Mickey thus far, but with the thing being a human interest piece, the blonde figures that it will probably be a matter of time before he does something to put his foot in his mouth, albeit unintentionally. Ah well, such is the way of media. Happy to find someone who is at least not hateful of his writing, Mickey smiles as he listens on about Maria's musical prowess. And from the way it sounds, there is quite a bit of that there. Violin, piano, flute, guitar...not a bad list actually. Especially the guitar part with it being more recent and all. Recent means 'still learning.' And a cutie like Maria...well, Mickey wouldn't have a problem with offering to give her some lessons if she wanted. But that might be a little forward for a first meeting, so best to keep that for another day. At least for now. “Well, Miss Maria, since you were kind enough to share with me, I suppose it would only be polite if I did the same.” Mickey begins with a smile. “Mickey Creel, as we've already established. Son of famous rock and roller Scott Creel. Been playing a guitar since I was old enough to pick one up. I've also done some dabbling with the piano, and believe it or not, the harmonica. As well as singing. Something that influenced me since the crib and something that I enjoyed enough to try to make a living out of. And so far, I'd have to say I'm doing well. Not in a poorhouse or anything like that at least.” Granted, the information that Mickey offered up to the gal isn't exactly extensive, but considering that he's only known her for a short time, the man figures that there will be plenty of time to let her in on the wide and wondrous world of Mickey Legend's life later. The gal is shy, sure, but to his credit he hasn't sent her running away in embarrassed terror yet. Always a good sign. “But unfortunately, I'm going to have to be heading out here.” Mickey offers up with a sigh as he looks at his watch. “Gotta help the boys finish packing up back there and get to the docks before I miss my ferry. Although I'm sure that I'll be seeing you again. If you are interested, that is.” Smiling and giving the girl a nod, Mickey begins the odyssey of cutting through the crowd to get backstage. Continuing on his way through the swarm of humanity, a thought comes to the man about his newfound friend... ”...Y'know, she just might be perfect for that whole radio show thing...gonna have to keep my eye out for that one. Not like it'd be hard to do for a cutie like that.” |
