AUTUMN, DAY 28
12:00 P.M-FLUORITE CAFE

Annalisa woke up that morning feeling better then usual. She got up and took a quick shower before looking at the time. “Oh dear, did I really sleep that late?” she asked no one in particular. Her outfit that day was a blue dress with black embroidery on it. It was nothing too fancy, but something she thought was appropriate incase she met someone while job hunting. She checked on her sister before she left and put a note on their bedside that read:

“I went job hunting, I will be back in a little while. If you get hungry, I packed some chips in our bakepacks.

XOXO,
Annalisa”

She place a kiss on her sisters forehead and grabbed her purse, walking out the door of the Inn room. She didn’t have a horse or a carriage to ride, so she did the next best thing and walked. High heels and walking didn’t really go good together. ‘I have to do it. I have to do hard work so Serena and I can have an actual place to live. But first, I need to find a job.’ she thought as she continued walking. She looked everywhere, getting an idea of where she wanted to work. 'Right now I am just getting numbers and applications and such, then the real job hunting will begin.’

Her thoughts lead her to a Café in the north half of the Island. Her stomach growled and she had remembered she hadn’t ate anything at all. Walking in, she slowly took a seat. A waitress came up to her table and gave her a menu. “Can I have a water to drink please?” she asked gently. The waitress smiled and nodded, walking away to get her the water. 'Now let’s see. What should I eat?' she asked herself, unaware of the events that was yet to come upon being in the Café.

AUTUMN, DAY 28
12:00 P.M-FLUORITE CAFE

Aaaaaah! Finally home! Junior smirked at this thought. Stretching with relief before glancing at his pink haired sister. "I'm going to the carpentry shop, Junior." Junior gave her a dumbfounded look. "Aaaw, you just got home from the cruise and you wanna go back to work already?" But Suki's face remained completely stoic, as it always was. Junior shrugged his shoulders as he held out the shop key to her. Taking it from his hands, she simply turned around and walked off without another word. Junior sighed. It was as if carpentry was all she ever cared about. Sometimes even he seemed to come in second place to it.

Junior stayed quiet for a moment. He wasn't really sure what to do now that he had gotten back. He certainly was NOT going back to work just yet. Maybe he should hit the bookstore? Nah, after paying for a cruise trip for the both of them, Junior really needed to save his money right now. Sad, but true. Aha! An idea popped into his mind. The cafe? Why not? He may be lacking cash but the cafe usually always had some hot chick working as a part-time waitress. Yup, it's official, he's heading towards the cafe.

Junior stuck his hands in the pockets of his white hoodie to keep them warm. Though the locals probably weren't as affected by the gradual change in weather as he was, to Junior, the temperature change was dramatically colder than it was when he left on the cruise. It certainly was autumn, alright. Heck, it would be winter in a few days. He missed the entire season.

Junior let out a sigh when he reached the door of the cafe, before putting on a smile as he entered. If he was lucky, he'd get to see that busty LaRosa girl again. She was fun to be around... different than most girls. Heellooooo Ladies... not? Nope. There were a few waitresses but this place seemed just a bit more quieter than the usual. Meh... maybe it was always like this. He was getting used to the waitresses saying hello to him every time he visit though, and complimenting him on his aim when he landed a bowl of macaroni right on the head of that arse of a waiter. Junior shrugged his shoulders. At least that damn waiter probably doesn't work here anymo- Junior's eyes widened. No way! His eyes followed the familiar face of the smug waiter as he took orders. Aw, COME ON! That guy still works here!? He could tell the waitress obviously spotted him too, by the way the waitress paused, looked at him for a few seconds, eyes widening before shooting Junior a nasty glare. Then as he walked off, Junior could see the man was still watching him from the corner of his eye.

Junior didn't need this. That guy was annoying as heck. It was time for him to find a new place to hang out. Junior turned around, ready to walk away, before a blue something caught his eye. No wait- not a blue something... a blue someone!? Whoa..." Junior blinked. As he scanned the girl, who seemed to be reading the menu, from top to bottom. Damn, that was a LOT of blue. But that wasn't the only thing to catch his eye, as they stopped around her chest area. Cleeaa-vage. Junior smirked. Her rack was almost as big as Chickie's. And she had a pretty face, too. Hmmm.. she may be wearing a gaudy blue outfit, and that waiter may have been around the corner plotting to ruin his day, but that wasn't enough for Junior to pass this opportunity up.

Fact proven when Junior made his way over to her table. Putting on a warm smile, he leaned against the table. "Hey Cutie, mind if I join you?" But it was already too late for her to say no. Since he had already pulled out a chair and sat in it. His dusty green eyes seemed to glimmer.

    12:00 P.M-FLUORITE CAFE

Annalisa continued to look at the menu, unaware of anything around her. The waitress came back a few minutes later. “Have you decided on what you would like?” asked the girl. Annalisa nodded a little, smiling softly. “I would like some eggs, hash browns, toast, and some grape jam. The eggs I would like scrambled.” she replied. The waitress nodded, took the menu, and walked away to get Annalisa’s order. ‘I might get a Vanilla Milkshake afterwards. As well as a Chocolate Milkshake to go for Serena.’ she thought. Suddenly, a male voice pulled her from her wondering thoughts. “Hey Cutie, mind if I join you?”

Before Annalisa could decide, the man sat down in the chair opposite of her. She blinked slightly, staring at the strange man. ‘What a strange man.’ she thought as she smiled softly. “Hello, I am Annalisa Thompson. You are?” she asked in her ever so quiet voice, extending her hand out to the red-headed man. She had noticed his eye patch then and tilted her head slightly. “N-Nice eye patch.” she complimented, not wanting to be too nosy about it. Annalisa looked at the table shyly, feeling slightly uncomfortable. She didn’t show it though.

‘I don’t wanna seem shy. Besides, this guy seems nice. Not to mention attractive.’ she thought as the waitress came back with her food. “Here you go. Scrambled eggs, toast, grape jam, and hash browns.” the woman gave a small smile to the man and left. Annalisa felt bad for eating in front of him. “Can…I order you anything?” she asked softly, looking at him. ‘I don’t want to eat in front of him. That is rude. So I might order him something as well.’ she thought, waiting for him to answer.

AUTUMN, DAY 28
12:00 P.M-FLUORITE CAFE

"Annalisa... Nice name, mine's Junior... Junior Takigawa." Junior said, throwing in his last name since she decided to say hers. Heh... Tossing out your name already? Wow... This might be easier than I thought... He smirked at the thought. A look of disappointment on his face when she mentioned his eyepatch. "Eye patch eye patch eye patch." Junior let out a sigh. "Is that ALL people recognize me by? ...Why can't it be something like my dashing good looks or maybe my charming personality? WHY is it ALWAYS the EYE PATCH?" He asked, mostly talking to himself. Obvious sarcasm rang in his voice. A small creaking noise could be heard as he leaned back in his chair, his eyes were closed as if he was thinking. But his mouth quickly curled into a smile when Annalisa asked him a question. Sitting upright in his chair, he put his hand in the air gesturing at the waitress. "Just water, thanks." The waitress nodded her head as she walked off. Junior had already eaten earlier that day. And his awful, burnt cooking would make anyone lose their appetite for a week.

But Junior couldn't help but smile at the fact she offered to get him something. Was it just him, or was this girl super easy? He hardly talked to her for 20 seconds and already she seemed easy. Almost a bit disappointing, actually. But Junior kept his smile on anyway, as he leaned a little in her direction. "So... What's a pretty girl like you sitting in a cafe all alone?" He asked, adjusting his headband a little.

  • Annalisa smiled as he introduced himself. ‘Junior, that’s a nice name.’ she thought to herself. He sounded slightly sarcastic when he started ranting about his eye patch. She looked down shyly, feeling bad about asking about it. “I-I’m sorry if I upset you Mr. Junior.” she apologized, not wanting to make an enemy right away. He asked her why she was there all alone. Annalisa blushed slightly, feeling really shy. “I-I’m looking for a job….but I stopped for some breakfast since I forgot to eat.” she said softly. ‘Which reminds me, I need to buy some groceries on my way back to the hotel room…’ she thought.

Slowly taking a bite of her eggs, she looked down at her plate. ‘He is a cute guy, but I don’t know why I feel so nervous about him.’ she looked at Junior and smiled softly. She was starting to enjoy his company, actually. Serena was usually with her and she hadn’t talked to a guy since she left the Mainland. ‘I’ll have to mail Mason sometime, so he doesn’t worry.’ Annalisa sipped her water slowly. After she placed it back down on the table, she looked at Junior. “S-so how long have you lived on the island?” she asked, wanting to learn more about Junior.

AUTUMN, DAY 28
12:00 P.M-FLUORITE CAFE

Junior chuckled. "Aw, none taken... " He was never offended when people pointed out his eyepatch. He knew his eyepatch was there, and there was no avoiding the fact that everyone he met would probably notice it. At least it was better than a glass eye. He couldn't stand 'em, whenever you blinked your glass eye would remain open, it was creepy. Eye patches were better, they covered up the missing eye and the scar around it.

"Ah... job hunging... Junior nodded his head in response, frowning slightly. Ugh... he couldn't stand the sound of those two words put together. How dull. At least he had a job, but working was SUCH a pain.. and booooring. Maybe he should try finding a job as a librarian, at least then he'd be surrounded by books.

Junior blinked when she asked him how long he lived here. "Hmm... little more than a year now. Though I've spent all of this season on a cruise around Asia." He smirked. He leaned a bit more inward, "You're new, arn'tcha, Cutie... am I right?" He knew he was right. He could've sworn he'd seen every hot girl this island had. And she was definitely one he hadn't seen before the cruise. "So how long have you been here? Have you found a place to stay already?" Junior was reminded of when he and Suki first came to this island that one Summer day. Oh boy, that was a good time. He guessed that Annalisa would either answer all his questions, or slap him for asking so much info. He would guess the former, since she already tossed out her name like it was nothing.

Thinking of this now reminded him of a certain chickie. If he had asked her these questions, he knew he'd have been a) b*tch slapped b) kicked in the shin or c) both.... Most likely the latter. He smiled at this thought.

  • She smiled when she found out that she didn’t offend him. This made Annalisa feel a little better at least. She sat there and watched him for a few minutes, continuing to eat her food. ‘It tastes really good.’ she thought, blinking a little then sipping some of her water. She tilted her head as his response to her job hunting sounded as if he wasn’t too amused. “Do you not like working that much, Mr. Junior?” she asked softly. Annalisa slightly understood why some people didn’t like to work. It could be rather boring and not enjoyable, but people needed money in the world and by working, you got that money.

‘Asia? That sounds adventurous. I wonder what it was like.” she thought to herself. The brunette blushed slightly as he called her Cutie. ‘I have never been called cutie before.’ She looked at him and nodded, answering his question. “I haven’t been here long. I moved here with my sister. We are staying at the Jasper Inn for now. I’m working on getting a job and foraging when I can so I can get her and I a place to stay.” she told him. Annalisa finished her plate of food and drank the last of her water finally. “So what was Asia like? Anything interesting?” she asked.

AUTUMN, DAY 28
12:00 P.M-FLUORITE CAFE

Junior instantly put his hand over his mouth when hearing the name "Mr. Junior", trying his hardest to hold back his laugh. Hahaha! That's a good one! Wait a minute... was she serious, just now? "Pfffft! If you're gonna use "Mr." in my name, at least use my last name! But seriously, no need to be formal, Just call me Junior." He ranted, almost completely ignoring her question.

He smiled and shrugged. "I guess it depends on your profession. If you enjoy it, it isn't so bad. But work can be SUCH a pain sometimes... Buuuuut, if it puts food on the table, I guess it's worth it." He smiled. Thoughts of his little sister passed by his mind. Junior was normally a lazy boy, but he had worked so hard to provide for Suki. He hoped mom and dad would be proud of him for being able to keep this up for so long. Then again, Suki never needed much. She never wanted clothes, she ate like a bird, and spent most of her time carving wood. Perhaps, if he had a normal girl as his sister, he wouldn't be able to take care of her?

Junior perked up when Annalisa mentioned she cam her with her sister as well. He wondered if they were in the same situation as he and Suki were in? Nah! Don't make any wild assumptions Junior. She could just be traveling with her sister or something, it doesn't mean that she's supporting her or anything....

'So what was Asia like? Anything interesting?" junior suddenly snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh, Asia? It's awesome. The food there's nice. It's really pretty... I'm not sure I could even describe it with just words." He said, smiling. Oh yes, Asia was beautiful. And out of all it's beauty, the only thing Suki was interested in for a souvenir was a small carving of a Chinese dragon. Junior got a Japanese tea set though. But he wasn't even sure he'd put it to good use anytime soon. It'd probably just collect dust.

  • Annalisa looked at Junior, a small blush forming on her cheeks as he told her there was no need to be formal. “O-Oh. Ok, Junior.” she said. It felt slightly uncomfortable to say the least when it came to being formal and not. She would rather call him “Mr. Takigawa” than by his first name. ‘But he doesn’t want to be formal, so I won’t.’ she thought. Smiling softly, she noticed the waitress come up and take her plates. The woman also got Annalisa some more to drink.

Annalisa nodded in agreement to Junior. “I like gardening, teaching, and helping people. So that is the kind of job I was hoping for. It can be hard, though. I guess but you are right, It does help take care of food, shelter, and finances.” she said. Annalisa knew the hardships of working. Since her mom and dad had past away, Annalisa had to do things in order to get money. None of it was bad, however, so Annalisa didn’t worry much. When the waitress came back with Annalisa’s drink, she smiled a pleasant smile. “Thank you, miss.” The waitress smiled back and nodded, walking away to another table.

The brunette woman looked at Junior as he perked up a little after she mentioned about her sister. ‘I wonder why? Maybe he has a similar story?’ she thought. She looked at him and blinked a little. “W-What?” she asked nervously. She really didn’t mean to stutter or act nervous, it really just happened. She sipped some of her drink just to make a distraction for herself.

She listened intently as Junior talked about Asia. “That sounds lovely. I wish I could travel, but I have to take care of Serena.” she said as she smiled a little. Serena was practically all she had now, so she had better stay and take care of her instead of traveling with her.
